Hi! I'd like to know if I will be qualified on taking the conversion course with my 1 year work experience and with a gap of more than 5 years. Got licensed 2010 then worked 2011-2012 then worked on another field after until now although. I'm actually working now as a Medical English Teacher, I'm not sure if it is counted as an experience. Also, I took my IELTS and got 8.5 L, 7.5 R & S, and 6.5 W. what do I need to do next, AHPRA first or send application to schools? How long does it take to process everything including the visa? Another thing, would it be better to bring my family, a baby and a toddler and husband or wait for the PR(how long). Please help. Thank you very much!

@nursesam Go to the websites of the schools offering the conversion course, they usually state there if you need an experience for the conversion course. Mostly sa mga nabasa ko, they require at least 3mos recent experience but there might be some schools that MIGHT not require work experience. With the English test, it also varies depending on the requirement of the Uni you’ll be enrolling in. Some schools require students to take an English program if they don’t meet the english requirement. If you want to do a conversion course, you can book an appointment with IDP or AECC, their services are free. Processing will depend on how complete your requirements are.. You can bring your hubby with you as your dependent but with the kids it might be difficult. I wouldn’t suggest that you bring your kids. You can just put them on your PR application later on. With the PR application, it would depend on AHPRA and ANMAC waiting time, waiting time for the invitation to apply for PR and waiting time for the grant itself. Have you estimated how many points you’ll have? You need to at least have 60 points to apply for 189 and 55 points + 5 points (state nomination) on Visa 190.

@Cassey thanks for the info. I only know about the AHPRA. I still have to check about the ANMAC. How long do you think does it take to finish AHPRA approval? Also, still have to check on my points.

@MissAussie Hi, sorry wala eh. Ano yung statement of service? Do you mean Cert of Employment? Yung volunteer work hindi mo siya makiclaim sa ANMAC for experience, Yung paid work lang.

@nursesam If you will do Conversion Course, you don’t have to get an eligibility letter (LOE) from AHPRA. LOE is only needed for the bridging course. You just need to choose the Uni and submit the requirements and go through the student visa process.

You’ll only have to apply for AHPRA after finishing your course for registration as a Nurse here in Au.

We have a points calculator here on the forum. http://pinoyau.info/plugin/page/point-system

@MissAussie Just take it easy and do it one at a time until maaccomplish mo lahat. Make sure that you bring the original documents to Au as well because you’ll be needing almost the same set of documents for ANMAC and for PR application once you finish your course.

@Cassey thank you. An agency message me and aside from Bridging Course they are offering another pathway which is CREDIT FOR PRIOR LEARNING(CPL) which can be accomplished for 8 months. I wonder if this is the same with Conversion Course. Any thoughts please. Sorry I just started learning about these stuff and still on the search for better opportunity for me and at fhe same time making myself more informed to avoid being scammed.

@Cassey i check the point assessment. I'm not so sure if i take the conversion course for 1 year be counted as "yes" on the australia educational qualification since

@nursesam With the conversion course, it’s actually a shortened Bachelor’s course because they consider the prior qualification gained but I’m not sure if it’s the same thing. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t count as an Australian education qualification if the course is just a year.

    Guys, ask ko lang regarding
Criterion 2: yung template from NMBA website yun isasubmit ko sa school para sila ang magprovide then sila na din mag send to AHPRA?

Criterion 3: Sa CHED, template from AHPRA, then sila din magsisend ng docs to AHPRA?

Or pwede naman po ako na ang magsisend ng docs from school na mismo?

Criterion 8: ano po nirequest nyo directly sa school? With regard to pharma? Thank you sa mga makakasagot

    1. Depende po, mine took 2 months kasi AHPRA told me that I have some documents that needed recertification. If wala namang prob sa documents mo, mas mabilis mong mkukuha, some said 1 month lng yung sa kanila, yung iba less than a month pa nga. Depende rin siguro sa ngpprocess ng papers mo.

    2. Ngpass din ako sa PERTH ng docs ko but sa NSW ang napili kong school. I've read it doesn't matter nmn kung san ka ngpass ng docs.

    3. Not really sure. Meron pa din namang 3 months. My scheduled intake is on FEB 2018. 3 months pa din nmn.

    4. Try researching na lang sa net and read some forum pra sa mga opinion ng iba.

    5. Im for feb 2018.
