@cacophony nope, walang issue dun. For sure, hindi lang ikaw ang naguupdate ng EOI at hindi lang din mga pilipino ang keen to get the opportunity here kaya don't worry too much :-)

DIBP, wala nmn sila issue kung ilang EOI ka, as long as you can support your claims sa EOI once na-invite ka then that's it.

Yung 489 mo, would that be SS or Relative sponsor? what is your nominated occupation? also, why victoria? kc baka may ibang state na mas mabilis na pwede mo i-try

Hello po sa inyo, been reading this thread all along.. Ask ko lang po kung may chance po ba na mareject ang visa? Waiting na lng po kase ako under subclass 489 sa QLD ng visa grant. Subsequently, nka receive po ako ng invite for 190 today sa NSW kya medyo naguguluhan ako magdecide. Any advice po? Tks

@rjb_08 yes, there is a possibility that visa application may be rejected by DIBP due to various reasons such as serious medical issues, inconsistent/fraudulent documents, not meeting the required points or incorrect points, misrepresentation, etc.

bkt ka naguguluhan? is it because you got an invite for 190 and you already lodged 489?

you can withdraw your 489 visa application if you like anytime prior to grant BUT you may not be able to refund your visa payment fee.

@Au_Vic Hello po, tks po sa pag answer sa query. Basically ndi ko po kase alam kung iproceed ko yung 190 ko.. may implication po ba yun kapag nagproceed ako sa magiging result ng 489? Pwede po ba mareject yun kung malaman nila na nagsusubmit p dn ako for other subclass? Yung 489 ko po kase ay submitted by my agent at yung 190 ko po ay DIY ko lng po. Medyo conscious po ako baka may implication either way eh. Can u advise po? Tks

@rjb_08 walang impact yung invite ng NSW sayo for 190 visa sa on-going 489 visa mo.. hindi mo pa din naman napapasa yung online application mo sa NSW.

@rjb_08 you mean e wiwithdraw mo yung 489 visa mo? I am not sure pero sa tingin ko hindi naman. kung wala ka pa din naman CO contact at wala din naman false information sa application mo.. yun nga lang sayang yung binayad mo sa 489 visa kasi most likely hindi na nila ibabalik yun.

@Au_Vic It would be SS po. VIC kasi andun po yung former office mates ko working on our competitors so finding a job would be a breeze. Mechanical engineer po occupation ko. I'll search for other states too. Napansin ko kahapon South Australia needs at least 80 points tama po ba?

Please note that in Victoria, applications for engineering and building occupations will be temporarily closed from 16 October 2017 to 12 January 2018. Applicants who hold an offer of employment in Victoria in their nominated occupation or meet the streamlined PhD or 457 pathways are not affected by the closure

@malt good question it depends. it can be interpreted in many ways either they will stop processing of all unprocessed engineering and building occupations or they will only process applications submitted/received by them up to 15-October and beyond that will be put on hold.

I believe it will be the latter pero who knows. My guess isang reason kung bkt sila nag pause kasi malamang madami silang backlog ng unprocessed applications in those occupations or they may change the criteria for SS.

Hi all, ngaun ko lang nakita itong thread na ito, napadaan lang. If I may share lang experience ko sa 489 din, ang profession ko kasi di naman super in demand sa au so nag apply ako ng 489 and got my approval last year. Now nandito na ako sa NT and working in a big construction company. Before I started to work (hired from Pinas) hiningi lang copy ng visa grant ko. That’s it, dito wala naman kaso anong visa mo, infact most of them doesn’t even know what is our visa. HEHE I had to explain pa. hindi naman sya tinatanong, ung mga pinoy lang nakakausap ko dito, kasi nag tatanong din ako pano sila nag pr etc most came from 457 then got their pr and citizen na kaya wala nakakaalam ng sa visa ntin.

Anyway, do I need to inform anyone like immi.gov na nandito na ako and im working na? I diddnt check this yet with my agent, but if anyone can help to enlighten me please. Forward thinking and action lang kasi mabilis lang ang 2 years na yan.

BTW ok naman sa nt, if continuing ang work ko dito walang reason para umalis. laid back and quiet. Work wise so far ok din naman. Nasa construction field kami and super multi-racial. May kinuha ako personal insurance (BUPA). Hindi naman ako nahihirapan with regards sa visa and work wise, so sa mga nag aalala wala po kayong dapat ikatakot na tanggapin ang 489 eventually magiging pr din tayo.

Hello po sa lahat now lang ako nagdecide maglodge ng application via 489(relative) sana umabot ang submission ng documents before mag dec3. Ndi ko na antayin ung 190 tutal sa Melbourne ko rin plan magsettle.

Tanong lang po upon submission mg documents need na po ba magbayad ng lodging fee? Or pedeng to follow?

Kasi nid ko magproduce ng big amount talaga at naghahabol din ng time salamat po sa magrereply

@archbunki wow nakakaenlighten din po sir now lang po ako nagdecide to napply a visa under 489(relative) sana nga makahabol pa at dec 3 mageexpire amg invitation letter ko. Inantay ko lang kasi kung makakareceive ako ng invi for 190 at ndi na rin ako nagplan magtake ng pte kasi toxic sched ako dito sa saudi
