@GoldSeeker In my opinion, better if buy ka ng e2language and watch youtube guides then alot around 2 hrs per day to review during weekdays. Then, around 4-6 hrs during weekends. Do this for one month. This was effective for me. I hope this will also be effective for u

Hey guys!

I took the exam yesterday and I just received my scores. First time taker. Before my actual exam, I took the Scored Test A last Saturday and Scored Test B last Sunday. I was supposed to take these tests like a month before my scheduled exam but I just haven't gotten around to taking them earlier.

Scored Test A: LRSW - 81/80/85/90 (Overall - 82)
Scored Test B: LRSW - 90/81/90/84 (Overall - 90)

Actual Exam:

Communicative Skills
Listening - 90
Reading - 83
Speaking - 90
Writing - 90

Enabling Skills
Grammar - 87
Oral Fluency - 90
Pronunciation - 90
Spelling - 81
Vocabulary - 83
Written Discourse - 90

Overall Score: 90 (Thank God!)

I watched a lot of videos on YouTube, especially e2language. Extremely helpful. During the exam, there were 12 of us. The guy overseeing the exam mentioned not to raise our voices or shout during the Speaking part as there were other examinees who will speak at the same time. He reminded us to speak in the normal range. Yet I could still hear this one lady’s voice from the far end and the guy next to me. Initially, it threw me off but I concentrated as much as I could. During the Repeat Sentence part, I closed my eyes and focused so I could remember everything. I stumbled during Describe Image, made some wrong references, but that didn't matter as I still received 90. I just continued talking and did not pause at all. During Reading section, I slightly panicked because I glanced at the timer and I was running out of time. So medyo na distract ako dun, but I carried on and tried my best to understand what I was reading. During Summarize Spoken Test, I wrote on the erasable pad instead of typing directly. Okay naman, managed to jot down as much information as I could.

@kristinejuvel Thanks! Well, like I mentioned in my previous post above, I watched a lot of YouTube videos, mostly E2Language. Also, if you can, get the Gold Kit – it helped me a lot because it's a simulation of the actual test. Take it ahead of time so you can check which areas you need to improve on.

Since it's difficult for me to squeeze in a proper review or practice session on weeknights because of my work, I used my weekends to prepare for as long as I could. Oh and on my way to work, I listen to different podcasts such as Freakonomics, Ted Talks Daily and BBC World Service Discovery. This will help you hone your listening skills. Read as much as you can. You can also read newspaper articles out loud to practice your pronunciation.

For Describe Image, familiarize yourself with a proven template but be flexible and you must think on your feet during the exam. Also, do NOT pause long. Just keep talking, even if some of your info may be inaccurate, just carry on. You must also manage your time during the exam kasi baka masyado ka magtagal sa isang question and you only have a few minutes left.

@ray1188 Halos same siya sa actual PTE exam bro. Really helpful if you're preparing for the exam. Ma-gauge mo din kung san ka dapat magfocus. Dito mo siya mabibili bro.

I would recommend the Gold Kit sulit kasi because it comes with 2 mock exams. and ang tip ko sa speaking, use a good quality of headset and microphone para di maapektuhan yung score mo.
sabi nga nila, mas okay ng magfail ka dito sa mock exam kaysa sa actual. hehe. kaya as much as possible gandahan mo score mo dito sa mock exam.

Iniisip ko kasi somewhere outside na mejo maraming tao para parang same setting lang sa actual exam hehe thanks uli bro1

mga boss ask lng po...ano po ibig sabihin ng "Delivery Successful" sa PTE Exam History Status......kc ganyan status sa akin nung nag check ako if meron na ba results ko pero wala pa..may status na "delivery successful" lng.

na worried lng ako boss....kc dati within 24 hrs lng alam ko na results, pero ngaun mejo na delay results mejo nahirapan cguro cla sa result ko heheheh

Lumabas sa actual PTE Repeat sentence ko yung pang no. 21 sa video. Most likely mga ganyang kahahaba yung mga Repeat sentences sa actual just to give idea sa mga new test takers.
