With the cohesive devices, do you mean I need to use words such as additionally, firstly, however, etc.? Or is it ok to stick to simple sentences?

@GoldSeeker wag po gumamit ng fillers sa SST. tried it on my 2nd take, lalong bumaba score ko.

@GoldSeeker, you can use that template but tweak it a little. Remember that SST is limited to 70 words. Tnry ko yang ganyang template halos lumagpas na ako ng 70 words kpag kinombine ko pa mga notes ko. Yup, yung cohesive devices yung mga linking words to connect sentences. Additional tip, kung marami kang na note na keywords, yun ang priority na maging laman and pick a little wordings on template. Pero kung onti lang na note, template is a big help, pero di mo mamaximize yung score kpag ganon since puro fillers and onti ang keywords. Use combination of sentence structures pampataas ng score sa writing. HTH.

Hello po may iconsult lang po ako. Nagmocktest po kasi ako today and 10 lang ang scores ko sa pronunciation, hindi nman po ako actually stutter may mga kunting mistakes. During mocktest ko napansin ko po na wla ako marinig na output ng audio sa headset ko and sa speaker ako nkakarinig though hindi ko na po un pinansin kasi ongoing po ang mock test. Ok namn po ung mic kasi pinplayback ko po sa mocktest before ako mgproceed sa next. May effect po kaya ung nakaconnect pareho ang headset at speaker ko at the same time? Thankyou po sa mga mgbbgya ng inputs. Superdisappointed lang po talaga ako. Congratulations po sa mga nakapasa lately..!!

Inulit ko yung set kahit same questions lang just to gauge my speaking. May ngsuggest po nun dito sa group and effective naman po sakin. Inapply ko sa 2nd set yung mga possible problem ko nung 1st exam. Hindi na ko ganun kaworried sa speaking kasi naipasa ko na yung mock test. Iba tlga nagagawa nun sa confidence mo. Sa reading nman ako consistent na sablay. More practice pa. Goodluck sten next week. God bless!

@caeley, reading = needs wide range of vocabularies + collocations, pero mas madali ang reading sa actual PTE kesa sa mock

@mfvquines, safe na mag answer lang ng sigurado. Kapag isa lang pinili mo at tama you'll get 1 point pero kapag 1 tama at nagkamali ka sa isa, 0 point

@caeley sa reading baka makatulong yun naging technique ko sa multiple choice, single answer. mabilisan ko po binasa yun choices, then nun binasa ko na yun statement i try to look for the key words na tutugma sa choices. yun pagabasa ko po ng statement is mabilis din parang browsing lang. no point to read it very slow. once ma established mo po yun connection with the correct choice you can read one more time to verify.
sa multiple answer naman po, same technique din ang inapply ko. i always try to look for two correct answer. i only include a third answer if super sigurado ako.
sa arrange paragraph. again look for the key worlds po. i also read this one fast. you will notice from the key words the chronological na pagkakasunod sunod ng mga sentences. quickly arrange kung ano po yun pakiramdam nyo na tama. make a quick browse/read again sa answer and adjust accordingly kapag napuna mo na meron di nag ki click.
sa fill in the blanks po., dapat po wide reader kayo so once you saw the sentence you can immediately identify the correct word. read po kayo ng mga novels, english newspapers. i practice reading by reading to my kids novels hehe. 2 birds one stone, na practice din speaking ko. try to read aloud po. i found it to be more helpful sa pag retain ng informations.

epektibong teknik pra sa kin yung cnabi ni kaiden sa reading, basahin muna choices, look for keywords/synonyms sa statements. sa speaking nmn, dahil di ako mahilig magbasa at talagang mahina ako s speaking, ginawa ko, sinasabayan ko yung mga kanta na may rap pra masanay yung dila ko. be playful lng pra di masyadong kabado s exam

hello po ito po result ko sa goldkit score test B na ndi po ako nksagot sa speaking at writing dhl po sa kashungaan ko na kung pwde maulit un exam sa smula pero ndi po pla ppwede..... kung mppansin nyo po nka proficient po ako sa writing kht di ako nkpg essay at summrze written text.... kung mppnsin nyo din po kht nsagutan ko ng kumpleto un reading at listening task mbaba dhl nd ko po nsagutan un speaking at writing task meaning npka lki factor ni speaking kay listening at reading ... fealing ko po sa read aloud re tell lecture repeat sentence at answer shrt question mkktulong ky listening at reading....

Pag 2nd take po ba mas mahirap or mas madali po ang exam?

@caeley , di ko masasabi na madali na ung exam sa 2nd take. Para sakin, mahirap pa rin sya. Pero ang ginawa ko to achieve ung pagiging Superior are these:

1. Be at the exam location early. I made sure ako ung pinaka-una sa linya. As in una! Hahaha! Pag nasa pangalawa ka na queue sa day of PTE exam, usually iuupo ka na in-between people. Pero pag nasa unahan ka ng linya, iaassign ka sa pinakadulo na seat. Meaning, mejo malayo sa ingay. Meaning, you have your own space (sort of). Effective for me! Hehe

2. Do not hesitate to start early. Basta okay na ung mic position, go ahead and start with the self-intro and reading. Iba din kasi if you start early, parang kuha mo na momentum mo.

3. On Writing, make sure you have a minute or two to read what you have written. Kasi ang laki din ng bearing puntuation marks at spelling. So read it slowly - literal, dun ko napansin na sa bilis ng pag-type mo dahil sa kaba, minsan may namimiss out ka. You don't want to be deducted sa mga areas na kaya mo naman i-control.

@mfvquines, hindi right minus wrong ksi yung mcma kaya better to choose 1 answer na sure kesa sa 2 answers na may mali. Hehe. Ska hndi mamalian yun ng computer kpag isa lang answer mo.
