-yung validity ng LOE from AHPRA

@anamarie Hi, depende sa situation mo. Do you plan to do a BP right away upon arriving here? If you plan to do so, then you can apply probably 2 to 3mos prior to arriving here in Au. You just need to make sure na makakakuha ka ng slot sa school bago magexpire yung LOE mo from AHPRA. Maybe as early as now, check what the available intakes are from Sept if there’s any.

@anamarie If you have the resources for BP and you can get a slot with a school offering BP why not do it now? With these uncertainties of extending the BP to six months instead of the average of 3, it seems prudent to do it now... AHPRA application, say takes 2-3 months, more or less, start BP in June... by September tapos ka na ng BP.. darating din si bf... kung kasabay ka sa visa application nya pwede ka na ma-grant ng bridging visa at di mo na kailangan umuwi sa Pinas. just my 2 centavos

@Cassey Hello po. Been working as a nurse for 6 yrs already. Im currently working in the UK as a nurse but planning to move to Australia. I’ve got 2 options: first is to do the bridging program(im on maternity leave for one yr btw) tapos balik dito sa UK to finish my contract which will end March 2019 or 2nd apply directly for PR then later on when I arrive there saka na ako magbridging program.

    Questions:
    1. Which option do you think is better?

    2. If after finishing the bridging program and going back to PH/UK, may assurance ba na makahanap ako ng sponsor/employer? Kasi malaking pera ang gagastusin so mahirap naman na mauwi lang din sa wala yung pagBP ko.

    3. If I choose na magPR at nasa Australia na ako okay lang ba na dun na magprocess ng papers para sa BP? At after BP hindi na ba ako kelangan umuwi kasi PR naman na ako?

Sana po mabigyan niyo ako ng advice. Thank you so much in advance!

@melmed Hi. If you are a UK Nurse, as long as you satisfy the criteria for registration like education qualification and work experience in UK among others, you might not actually need to do a BP. Some of my hubby’s colleagues from UK registered with AHPRA straight away. If you really intend to settle here in Au, it’s best to have your qualifications assess by AHPRA so you’ll know what to do.

You can’t process your PR application if you are not a registered Nurse here in Au. That’s the primary requirement for migration.

With your experience, i believe that you have a high chance of getting a sponsorship. :)

@Cassey Sa mga nabasa ko po kasi, yung nurses na registered dito under the old scheme, wherein nagaral po sila sa uni ng 6 mos, sila yung di na nagBP. Under po kasi ako sa new scheme which is the OSCE. Meron po ba kasamahan hubby niyo na same ko na nagOSCE or 2015 onwards naging UKRN?

@bolz Pwede siyang gawin magisa or you can book ang appointment with IDP or AECC, free yung services nila. Are you planning to get a conversion course or BP?

@jjlara Hi, you can try other english test like OET, TOEFL ibt, etc.

With BP, it’s not flexible, you’ll definitely need to reach a certain score to enrol in the program.

With conversion, there are some Uni like Deakin wherein you can study an English course prior to the conversion course if you can’t meet the English score requirement. Aside from that, sa ECU naman they accept 6.5 overall band score or PTE Acad 52.

You’ll still be needing 65 after you graduate for AHPRA registration.

@jjlara , anyway sa AHPRA, yung english exam, pwedi naman at 2 sittings, basta mameet mo lang ung 65 each skill as long as with in 6 mos yung gap between 2 tests and taken within the last 2 years.

hi guys! patulong naman po ng pathway, andito na ako sa au since september last year, naka enroll ako for vocational course but I'll be extending my visa this october. Kung ma approve man ung visa extension, God willing, I'm planning on doing bridging course. Any advise po sana kung tama ba na mag bridging ako kasi po from what I heard, gagawin ng 6 months ang bridging dito sa Au.

@Akijo It’s just a rumor at least for now. If you really want to become an RN here in Au then do the BP. You’ll have to get a Letter Of Eligibility from AHPRA first before you can enrol to the course.

good day. may tanong lang ako. tama ba pagkakaintindi ko na dapat eh mag apply muna ako sa APHRA then wait for my LOE. once na meron ng LOE eh tsaka ako maghahanap ng school for a Bridging Program?

Also may problem kasi ako nagsara na yun school ko. i have copies naman of my TOR, RLE & Diploma (2012 ko pa sila nakuha) ok na kaya yun or kailangan pa ba ng course description?

Salamat ng marami sa sasagot :)

@girmarie Galing din akong Saudi... to tell you honestly sana kumuha ka na ng mga docs bago ka umalis. Hindi naman mahirap pero since wala ka na dun, makikisuyo ka.

    1. COGS
    2. Experience Certificates or Certificates of Employment.
    3. Professional References. From a nurse supervisor.
    4. Police Clearance
    5. Copies of contract, payslips or any other payroll instrument.

Yung COGS, you will be requesting 2x assuming you will also want to be assessed by ANMAC after your BP. Yung police clearance at payslips kailangan yun sa pag-apply ng PR visa later on... forward looking lang po tayo.

If you plan to do BP in July, magagahol ka na siguro sa oras. AHPRA application/assessment takes around 3 months at the very least. Pahirapan din makakuha ng slots sa mga schools offering BP because of the rumor that BP will be 6 months na.

Best of luck on our journey,

@makiko I suggest you contact AHPRA regarding your situation. Pag close na ang school, they won't be able to verify your credentials.

Anyway, baka naman merong iba who had the same situation as you.
