Libangan would be, meet up with friends at kumain (tulad ng gagawin ko now after church). Mall maaga nagsasara pag weekends until 5pm lang. Pasyal sa beach at park then picnic ang common family activity here.

- tapos cyempre wala naman kaming sundo, ano po sasakyan namin papuntang accomodation namin from the airport? bus or train?
- may nabasa tong husband ko, wala pa daw kuryente ung mga haus dyan pag nakuha, ung bagong tenant pa ung magpapakabit? is that true? pano naman un dadating kami ng weekend? may magkakabit ng power?

Medyo mahal ang hotel. Yung iba naghohostel. Pero in our case, months before we arrived here we booked a 2 bedroom unit sa student accomodation. Akala nga namin di kami papayagan kasi di naman kami students, pero inaccept namin nila yung application. Nagdeposit lang kami ng around 500 AUD via bank draft to secure the place.
Ito yung site nila http://www.studentliving.com.au/kent-town. Shared nga lang ang kitchen pero Ok na din kasi medyo malapit sa CBD, around 15-20 minute walk lang.
Pwede ka din magpost dito sa forum baka may naghahanap ng ka share sa unit or house.

Merong bus na dumadaan sa Airport going to the CBD pero I would suggest na magtaxi na lang kayo lalo na kung madami kayo bagahe around 20-25 AUD ang pamasahe. Yung bus naman is 4.9 AUD per person.

Kung house and kukunin nyo, kayo nga ang kailangan magpakabit ng kuryente at gas.
Kami after 2 days after we requested nakabit yung kuryente at gas namin.
Nagkakabit sila during weekends pero may extra cost.
Medyo mahirap din pala makakuha ng house kung wala pa kayo dito kasi they prefer you inspect the house prior. Nagtry din kasi kami kumuha ng house before arriving here pero yun ang email palagi sa amin. Tapos isa pa sa mga requirements is proof of financial capacity and previous tenancy contract. So medyo mahirap pero pwede nyo ding itry baka malas lang kami that time.
Nakakuha din naman kami ng house after namin tumira sa Student Living.

To those who are coming to Adelaide soon, we currently have two vacant fully furnished rooms here in our house. Yung isa queen sized bed, yung isa naman king sized bed. The house is 20 mins away from CBD by bus. Bus stop going to the city is located just outside the house. House is also near to St. Martins Catholic Church, Coles and Asian Grocery. Rent is at 150 p/w (inclusive of utilities).

Based on experience, there's a big difference here in terms of people's attitude, benefits from govt and work/life balance. I noticed na mas polite ang mga tao d2 compared sa SG, gov't promotes work, health and life balance kaya your boss can't force you to stay in the office to work, bosses are open-minded and not bossy, instead they treat one another equally, may flexibility especially to parents who needs to take care of their kids, pag PR ka na may medicare benefits ka, rent assistance benefit, child benefits and other family related tax benefits, not crowded in trains, buses, malls & everywhere (even in casino!), you will experience 4 seasons weather unlike in SG na humid and tropical climate the whole year round, currency exchange rate is higher than Sg if converted in peso, though the tax rate is significantly higher here as well as some of the everyday living costs are more expensive than SG, however, based on experience, mas malaki pa rin net profit or mase-save ko for a month compared to SG basically because your net pay is still higher despite the higher tax..landed houses is cheaper than SG, for obvious reason that only the riches can buy landed properties in SG. I havent compared an HDB in SG and a landed house here, but based on rental price of a room, nde ngkakalayo ng rent ng room sa haus here against room rental in an HDB. Another most important advantage is that you could enjoy having dual citizenship here while SG is just to selfish that you have to renounce being a Filipino if you want to be a Singaporean citizen. :P
Well, as for the negative side of it, in my opinion it's just so minimal that the pros really outweigh much more than its consequences - the shops usually closed at 5pm, hawkers are not everywhere, hence, mas advisable that you cook at home. Nde mo na pede gawin d2 ung araw2 kkain ka sa food court, kaya you could be healthier as eating outside will just tempt you to take junk and not so healthy foods.

Idagdag ko lang; Other option for accommodation would be to look at www.gumtree.com and au.easyroommate.com . It wouldnt hurt to post here at least a month or two before kayo dumating sa adelaide. Another option is backpackers http://backpackoz.com.au/
