(2) For the purposes of the Act and Regulations, the pass mark in relation to applications for a general skilled migration visa is 60 points.

Explanatory Statement

3. The instrument operates to set a pool and pass mark of 65 for the “points” system under Subdivision B of Division 3 of Part 2 of the Act for the following three classes of visa where an application is made on or after 1 July 2018 in response to an invitation given by the Minister on or after 1 July 2018:

· a Skilled – Independent (Permanent) (Class SI) visa;

· a Skilled – Nominated (Permanent) (Class SN) visa; and

· a Skilled – Regional Sponsored (Provisional) (Class SP) visa.

4. For these visas, the instrument sets the pool and pass mark at 65 points. This pass mark reflects the high level of interest in skilled migration to Australia and the high calibre of prospective applicants who express their interest in the General Skilled Migration program. This pass mark is consistent with the level set for the points test under repealed regulation 2.26AB, in effect until 1 July 2013.

@Supersaiyan if naka pag lodge na pala si @MLBS ng visa 190 nya as 65pts di po sya ma aapektuhan ng changes kasi na lodge nya na. EOI ba or yung visa na mismo ang ni-lodge nya? if EOI affected nga sya.

Tiwala lang bro, malay mo naka superior ka, pero totoo nga nakaka disturb nga sa focus ang mga changes na yan kasi added pressure pa. Hays hehe pero ayun think na lang ng better options if ano ang para sa iyo. Importante keep the dream alive and work hard for it. Goodluck bro.

@Pandabelle0405 hi ang pag kakabasa ko kasi lahat ng nag lodge ng EOI 60pts before 1st of July na di pa nakakareceive ng invitation ay di na din makakakuha pa ng invitation kasi 65 na ang minimum pool points.

“Pool/Pass Mark rises from 60 to now 65 points for all 489, 189 and 190 visas lodged in response to an invitation given after 1st July 2018.
In effect that means any EOIs at 60 points that have not received an invite by the 1st July will be of no use and will not get an invite .”

@Pandabelle0405 ang mga visa na na-lodged lang ang hindi maaapektuhan comes July 1. But all those EOI’s na na lodge na pero hindi pa nakaka accept ng invite are affected. Even those who got their invites but haven’t lodge their visa applications are affected too so they have to lodge their visas sa DoHA para hindi sila maapektuhan. They have to do it before July 1 12am

Ang basehan po dito is the date of lodgement of your visa to the DoHA, dapat you lodge it before July 1 para di ka ma apektuhan.

I hope this is clear

Take note this changes will apply to all skilled migration visas, regardless of the state na pupuntahan mo.

Ayun tama po si Sir @OZingwithOZomeness . Since EOI pa lang wala pang invite ang new minimim pts ay 65 un ang rule of thumb natin ngaun so mag pataas pa tau ng pts if kaya pa pataasin.
