@aj.skywalker submitted Nov 17 and received LOD dated Jan 9, so that's around 7 weeks... but I guess yung delay was more due to the Christmas holidays.

After you finish the course, registration na sa AHPRA ang next. Makakapagregister ka pa rin kahit walang experience. Without the registration, you can’t work or be employed as an RN here.

@Cassey ah ok. Thank you talaga. So i can still be registered po kahit wala akong working experience sa pinas basta its under conversion. Is it better to take po ba conversion than bridging base po sa exp nyo?. Ano po ba usually yung requirement for conversion po? Pasensya na po daming tanong. Hehe

@Avon3737 Ang ginagawa ng applicants na walang experience, gumagawa ng statutory declaration stating why they don’t have a Nursing experience. Sabi nung kakilala ko na nagConversion, hindi nagmamatter kung BP o Conversion, iba raw yung from hands-on-experience (work experience). It would still depend on the person, i guess.. With the requirements, you have to check the Uni’s website to see what the requirements are or you can book an appointment with IDP or AECC, free yung charge nila and they can help you out with your application.

@penpendesarapin Depends on your visa condition. May visa kasi na ang maximum stay is only for 3mos. Kapag multiple entry, you can enter again without applying a new visa. Unfortunately, it takes few mos before a working visa is issued. After the interview, they normally call your referees to verify. Then they’ll draft the contract then if everything is good, they’ll ask you to sign it. After the contract signing, visa application comes next. Then comes the waiting period for the working visa grant...

@MissAussie ano specialty area mo? lesser chance of getting a sponsorsip n ngaun compared to more than 3 years ago. unless may specialty exp like theatre, icu, emergency, mental health etc na more than 5 yrs exp. or regional areas esp hosps and aged care. try applying directly to PR nlng pra full work rights

@MissAussie as far as i know, whatever your current visa is, yan dpat i present sa immigration officer. kasi once may bago or whatever active visa kana, makikita din nila yan. im not too sure about OEC

@MissAussie I agree with @kymme ...While it may be possible na wala man direct access ang local immigration natin with regard to visa details kasi it is more of a situation/problem with the arriving country rather than departing. Pag wala kang visa, di ka papapasukin. However that is the risk that you will have to take.

I am not sure anymore as to the process of getting OEC for direct hires. It is much easier kung dun ka na nung na-grant ang TSS mo kasi mas madali at mas mabilis mag-process sa POLO Office sa Canberra:

This is the email I got from them:
Please be informed that POLO Australia is processing OEC for vacationing Filipinos under the Balik Manggagawa Program of POEA. Please be further informed that the OEC is only valid for sixty days from the date of issuance.

Kindly create your BM Online Account if you do not still have or Reactivate if you have existing account through this website POEA :: Balik-Manggagawa Online Processing System. The instructions can be read or viewed in the website itself. Upload a full face picture with white background. (Note: In filling out the portion of Contract Details, the Latest Departure date is your latest flight from the Philippines going to Australia while the Latest Arrival date is your arrival in the Philippines for your next vacation)

Then set an appointment for the processing of your OEC by clicking the green button "Acquire OEC or Exemption" and choose the location: POLO Oceana Branch: Australia Yarralumla. Please make sure that your return to Australia is within the sixty day validity of the OEC from the date of your appointment. Once appointment was successfully made, kindly print out the copy of appointment and affix your signature.

Please take note that you do not need to appear personally to POLO Office for your scheduled appointment. The following are the requirements needed in securing an OEC which you need to send through courier c/o Philippine Embassy 1 Moonah Place Yarralumla ACT 2600 at least a day before your date of appointment:
    1. signed employment contract
    2. copy of your passport and visa
    3. Signed Information Sheet generated from the BM Online appointment (go to "My Transactions")
    4. Australian Money Order for the fees which can be bought from the Post Office
    5. Self addressed envelope where we can post back your verified contract and receipts

The following are the fees: Verification is AU$18, OWWA Membership is AU$25 and OEC is AU$5 payable to Philippine Embassy POLO through Australian Money Order amounting to AU$48.00

Your processed OEC will be sent to your BM Online Account under "My Transaction" then print it out before your flight to Australia which you need to present before the immigration. You may enter the BM Online OEC Number on your next application for OEC and will be exempted from payment if you are returning to the same Employer and Jobsite.

If I may suggest, try calling POEA/OWWA anonymously and inquire as to the process on how to process OEC for direct hires.

@Rose05081993 is that your main goal na maging early childhood teacher or stepping stone lang to be an RN? to be honest, mahirap mkkuha ng work na related sa inaral mo like dip in early childhood, u can do ghildcare centres but i think not until matapos yung course. dpende cguro sa employer kung ok lng na ongoing. mdami din nmn na odd jobs like cleaning, kitchenhand, dishwahing, retail etc while doing ur studies. wag lang mapili sa work bsta mk earn lng ng money png living expenses.

if youre planning to do bridging program in between your diploma, mas ok yun. pra once u get your RN rego, u can start working as an AuRN (dpending on your work rights)
