LittleBoyBlueLittleBoyBlue North RydePosts: 334Member
edited December 2012 in Other Migration Topic

(vs. Indians, or Chinese, or Westerners?)

Ang napansin ko sa mga Chinese expats dito na nagttrabaho, pag mag-isa sila very prim and proper but when they are in droves, maingay sila at magugulo hehe.

Wala pa kaseng licensya asawa ko but magpractical exam na sya this week (Hopefully makapasa para di nako mahirapan mag grocery gamit ang trolley bag). Hinde kame makapili ng rental house na maganda kase lahat ng pasok sa budget at magagandang house e asa west pero no choice kame kundi pmunta sa east for the convenience of transportation at magtiis sa lumang bahay.

Hi, makikisali sa usapan... More than 4 yrs na ako dito and pag naaalala ko ung unang dating ko nung 2008 ang lagi ko naiisip na biggest challenge was ung maghanap ng work! Kakainis kc lagi sinasabi na dapat may local experience... Kaya pinili ko na lang magwork sa ibang field kc kakainip na and nakapagwork na din ako after 3 months :)

madami din nagtatanong ng ganito (including me) pero wala pa din concrete na sagot. i mean...pwedeng pwede mo gawin yun kasi wala naman magpopolice syo kung san ka dadapo sa oz. pero, after 5 years, when it's time for you to apply for an RRV (resident return visa) or citizenship...di natin alam ang magiging repurcussions nito.

sabi sa mga nabasa ko sa ibang forum (or this forum ata yun), it's better to inform your sponsoring state. sabi nila hindi ka naman daw pipigilan ng state na lumipat e. pero yun nga, wala pa din nakakapag-share ng experience na lumipat sila ng state tapos nakapag-apply sila successfully ng RRV or citizenship. yun ang inaantay ko...para confirmed. hehehe

    Makikisali din... :)

Yes I agree, super hirap ang adjustment period. We are on 475 visa ng husband ko. Good thing lang is that before we arrived here, my husband got a job through online application (gumtree.com.au) and also we were able to get a sharing accommodation dito sa WA. We never thought that it would be difficult pa kase my husband already got a job na. Pero syempre siguro kelangan tlga ng challenges so that we appreciate our blessings more.

Yung house pala na nakuha nmin is quite far from the city, where my husband's job is. Since wala pa nman kami pambili ng car, we just bought a bike for him. Hehehe. He works from 2pm to like 11pm or 12am sometimes and it a 30mins drive by bike. Every day I cry kase naawa ako sa husband ko. Hehehe.

Aside from that, super nahirapan sya mag-adjust sa work nya. They are really rude with him noong una. Di pa nman kami sanay sa mga laging nagmumura, but i think that is a part of their lives tlga dito. We can't do anything, wala syang choice but to stay in the job kase wala pa nman akong job.

While on this period, we just kept praying, truly nothing is impossible with the Lord. After 3 weeks namin dito, madami na rin kaming nakilalang pinoy. They are very helpful. Through them, we were able to buy a very cheap car- $1000. May 1 pinoy pa, tinuruan nya magdrive dito yung husband ko, yung mga basic road rules. So ngayon, di na nagbbike si hubby. :) Through prayers din, ok na yung relationship nya with his co-workers. Blessing din tlga yung mga pinoy dito, they gave us washing machine for free and even bread toaster and weekly supply of bread. hehehe. After 3 weeks din I already got a job. By the way, we arrived here pala Nov. 10, 2012.

It was indeed a very difficult and sad experience, pero through prayers, hard work, and patience magiging ok din ang lahat. Just believe that God is a loving God, He allowed us to come here in Australia, hindi para pahirapan tayo but to bless us more. :)

Sana with the hardships that we experienced when we're starting our life here, maintindihan din natin yung mga kabayan na bagong dating. :)
