PTE-A issue on my score

I took my 3rd PTE exam last Nov 1, 2018 in Singapore. I took the 3rd exam since I need to get the 79+ in each section. The latest speaking score that I got was only 21, both the oral fluency and pronounciation is only 10. I find it weird since my last speaking scores are 63 & 69, the OF and pronounciation never got a mark of 10. The spelling mark is also another funny thing. I got only 62 but my previous two exams is 89 and 90. My written disclosure is only 62 but I wrote 257/300 words on essay, 64/70 words on SPT and 60/70 words (one sentence) for SWT. Although I got 73 on written.

In the middle of the exam, all PTE test taker's exam suddenly put on a halt, the exam itself completely closed and we don't know why, only desktop was dispalyed on the computer screen. There was an antivirus related message popped up and the admin installed something for a few minutes. They resume the exam by re-logging us again to PTE, it was the same procedure, only difference is that you'll start on where you left of.

I was on the reading section when that issue happened. My worry is maybe they didn't saved all my speaking test and half of reading test.

What do you think guys? Should I file re-score which will take 14 days?

    Sorry for your such difficult situation, what I would do if I were in your shoes is report this to the PTE support to demand either a chance to retake the exam or refund. Because there was nothing wrong from your side from what have you posted here.

    To me, the success rate of re-scoring is very less with these kinds of English test CHEATERS including IELTS as you will have to wait for some time with stress and the money you spent for it may go waste. Instead, you could sit again for the exam in a short period of time before losing the track practice forgetting things.

    I just called the test center, they told me that this issues are happening because Pearson just transferred from server-based to cloud-based. I contacted the guy from India via Pearson LiveChat, he and his team said they will look into it. On the side of the test center, they cannot do anything since all answers, recordings and even the CCTV are all saved on the Pearson cloud-based database. They can only wait for Pearson to contact them and answer if necessary. In the end, the final decision will be issued by Pearson not the test center.

    Pearson just gave me a voucher so that I can retake the exam for free. I told them that they need to explain what happen on their system. Looks like they cannot do the re-scoring maybe because they cannot retrieve the data. They didn't even mentioned exactly that there's an audio problem or faulty things on their side.

    sa umaga yung asawa ko e, 930 yung schedule niya last saturday. Lagi na lng nag fi-freeze. SGD 350 binayaran natin tapos may mga ganyang issue. hehe. hay, Ayoko na sanang magretake kami. hehe sayang oras e. hehehe

    RELC din ako.. until now wala parin score ko last Saturday exam ko. Pero on my previous exam meron na result within 24 hours.

    Sakin din e. wala pa. hopefully tomorrow meron na. Kasi nung unang test ko nag freeze din ung screen namin. Then nagkascore ako tues morning na. Let's hope for the best. @atonibay

    @atonibay naku I didnt know na parang normal na ganap na pala ito. I had an issue with my exam din last August - walang recording na lumabas naman sa Answer Short Question - mga 8 questions yun then yung assistant had to reboot my computer and all - kung saan naubos ang oras ko. Totally nakakawala ng diskarte and buong exam (the next 2 hrs +) wala na akong naisip kundi olats na yun exam ko lalo na since I was aiming for Superior.
    Nag submit ng report ang center regarding sa issue (which I think used by PTE to validate my claim) - nag email din ako agad agad sa customer service stating my issue.
    After 5 days (nung first take 2 days lang may result na), the scores I got is ok sa proficient and konti nalang ang difference for Superior kaya nandun yung pag iisip na baka naman if di nagloko yun system, e baka nakuha ko na din :)
    PTE was kind enough to also allow me to re take the exam (yup I know extra hassle and sa totoo lang may trauma na kasama) - for free.
    I have nothing against the test center (I’v taken all my english language test there) - pero sabi ko nga medyo nakaka trauma that is why when I booked my next exam - I opted to take sa another test center. Nag ok na din on my 3rd take.
    In my opinion - if may naging issue during sa exam that is talaga naman very possible to have affected your scores - you can raise the issue to PTE. Mabait naman sila and you deserve din to do a re take - di biro ang 300+sgd :)

    @ga2au hello :) nag email ako agad sa PTE pagkaraan na pagkaraan kong mag exam, kasi nga alam ko if aiming for superior e mahirap na sumablay maski sa ilang points lalo na yung exam ng PTE affects yung madaming category like sa short answer question, covered nun ang listening and speaking.
    anyway nag email ako, pero nauna pa din lumabas yung score then after ko makuha yun score saka naman lumabas yung result ng investigation ng PTE. In most cases, hindi na applicable to dispute yung score or ipa re assess - pinaka option nalang talaga is to re take the exam.
    If in any cases na superior pa din ang nakuha mo despite yung technical error - then I guess keri na yun :)
    pero for those na di nakuha yun desired result, maski na malayo or malapit ang score mo sa superior - if you encountered a technical issue during the exam - worthwhile na din for PTE to review the case and have them provide something in return kasi sabi ko nga, di biro ang halaga nung exam din and as test takers, we are entitled for a hassle free exam (free from technical errors or glitches).

    pwd na kaya mag email sa PTE? kasi nung nangyari eh nawala diskarte at focus. I was aiming for superior as well pero wla talaga. Tas nag freeze pa yung sa READING section at ubos oras ko doon. Until now wla parin yung result. Ma try nga mag email at mag explain sa kanila.

    @atonibay after mong mag exam kinausap mo ba yung test administrator regarding your issue? nung nag freeze during reading, niraise mo ba agad sa kanila? they should have submitted a report on your behalf regarding this.
    bale hindi ito issue ng test center but ng PTE.

    nku hindi ko na raise eh kasi lahat ng computer nag freeze. So I thought they might have done the report in behalf of all test takers during that period.

    Sabi ng hubby ko nung nagfreeze yung screen nilang lahat. lahat sila nagreklamo, so inassure sa knila na irereport nila ito sa PTE. ehehe wala paring score ngayon. hayyy hahaha

    Wala parin e. hehehe sana bukas meron na. pag wala parin sa friday tatawag nako. or mag eemail nako. kasi ung yung 5 business days e.

    @atonibay email na ng concern sa email sa baba, otherwise if di mo nakuha ang desired result mo, you will have to book the exam na naman at a cost. I am not saying na guaranteed na they will provide a free re take pero atleast siguro naman as a courtesy, they will provide something.
    provide all your details ( exam date, time, test center) - state the issue and yung confirmation na the test facilitators will submit a report on the issue. Mga 10 days din bago ako naka receive ng outcome dyan. Atleast if mag email kayo e umaandar na yung case. If - however- nakakuha pa din kayo ng superior despite the technical glitch - e di well and good :) . Just let them know na you don’t need to retake, etc.

    contact nyu na pearson kapag hindi masyadong nag uupdate si exam center. wag nyong idrag yan kase possible na hindi na kayu bigyan ng replacement exam.
