Planning to enroll with a TAFE course (With bachelor's degree here in the Philippines)

Hi po, crowd source lang po sana ako. Fresh grad po ako ng BS Legal Management with 4 mos job experience. As much as I would like to work here in VIC (I'm currently staying with my aunt under tourist visa), Student Visa is the easiest path "daw" for me para makapag-apply ng PR later on since wala pa po ako manominate na occupation.

I wanted to continue Bachelors of Law, kaya lang masyadong mahal so plan ko po magtake ng TAFE course (Diploma in Community Services) this coming Feb 2019 intake, inaasikaso ko na po requirements to apply for a student visa. I've talked to 2 registered agents, yung una po ang advise sakin is to go for a master's degree (which is masyadong mahal po and hindi kaya financially), the other one agreed with me na okay lang ang TAFE course then apply nalang po ng graduate visa upon completion of 2 yrs. Any advice po?

May mainonomimate ka ba na occupation after studies? If so then go for tafe. Master is very expensive pero if you can why not. Bottom line is dapat may occupation ka na makukuhaan mo ng positive assessment, or else studying would lead you nowhere.

@Garapattyloglog You can check the list of occupations eligible for PR here https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/trav/work/work/skills-assessment-and-assessing-authorities/skilled-occupations-lists/combined-stsol-mltssl

Check mo if meron kang pwede inominate after you complete your course. Tapos check mo requirements ng assessing body for a positive skills assessment. Hindi ka pwede mag-apply for any of the PR visas if you don't have a positive skills assessment for an occupation in the list.

@sanrafael It is unnecessary for you to flood the forum with the same messages on different threads; please avoid doing this again in the future as this can be quite annoying. I believe there are lots of guidelines online about how to write the SOP/GTE, you just have to exert extra effort on searching them because you chose to DIY. The forum also has a search box that you can use to look for other similar threads about SOP/GTE (I've already made a lengthy guideline for this here).
