After makapag initial entry date, kelan ka na po dapat bumalik na for good sa AUS? In a year po ba?

March 5 - ACS submitted......
March 20 - ACS result.. Suitable (Analyst Programmer)
March 10 - IELTS Passed!
June 23 2012 - Sent my paper based application to Adelaide.
June 26, 2012 - DIAC received and sent a receipt.
August 9, 2012 - Received Medical and NBI Clearance Request.
August 10, 2012 - Had a Medical Exam on a Panel Doctor
August 13, 2012 - NBI Clearance application.
August 23, 2012 - Medical Results was submitted by the Panel Doctor.
September 2, 2012 - NBI clearance received by DIAC.
Visa Grant! - September 6, 2012!!!

    The PR visa is valid for 5 years:
    - meaning you can travel in and out of Australia until that validity date
    - sa visa nakalagay: MUST NOT ENTER after VALIDITY DATE

    After the expiration of the PR visa:
    - you can apply for citizenship provided you satisfy the criteria
    - if you have not satisfied the citizenship criteria, you need to stay in AU, but you cannot go out..
    - if you are not yet a citizen, but you want to travel in and out of AU, you need to apply for Return Resident Visa (RRV)

    So, technically, you need to go back to AU before your PR visa expires.

    just to add...wag nyo po sagarin na tipong sa 4th year na kayo babalik ng OZ kasi baka di kayo makalabas ng OZ for a while. kasi may requirements din yung pag-apply ng resident return visa (pag hindi kayo citizen).

    tama.. at baka by that time eh iba n nmn ang rules/requirements for RRV...
    tapos kakasagad sa validity date eh baka hindi pa maka-entry, e sayang ang pagod hirap at pera for the visa..

    by Sept 2017.. for sure kahit hindi pa kayo citizen, eh may strong ties na kayo sa AU. to prove na dyan kayo naka-tira at may work ka.. para ma-approve ang RRV..

    May follow up question lang ako. May nabasa ako sa isang forums na dapat 4 years ka na nag stay sa Aus para makakuha ng Citizenship. Paano kung itutuloy ko yung plan ko na by 2014 ako mag punta doon. That means di na ako makakakuha ng Citizenship? :(

    yup, hindi ka makakakuha ng citizenship...
    at paglalabas ka ng AU, kelangan mo muna kumuha ng RRV - Resident Return Visa...
    pag wala ka nyan, nde ka na makakabalik ulit sa AU...

    pero pede ka naman magstay sa AU kahit expire na PR mo...
    tapos antayin mo na lang yung number of years para makakuha ka ng citizenship...

    - Tapos year 2014 ka lang mag settle sa AU
    - pag dating ng 2017, expired na ang PR Visa mo, of course pwede ka tumira sa AU, yun nga lang, hindi kana pwede lumabas ng AU dahil hindi ka makakabalik (unless mag apply ka ng RRV)
    - Hindi ka pa makaka-apply ng citizenship until 2018 (kasi 4yrs residency requirement for citizenship)

    so ang pwede mo gawin:
    a) wag muna lumabas ng AU from 2017, hanggang maging citizen na sa 2018
    b) or mag-apply ng RRV sa 2017, para pwde lumabas/bumalik ng AU.. but be careful sa requirement ng citizenship (ung tungkol sa last 12months before citizenship application date)..

    yup, hindi ka makakakuha ng citizenship...

    Ah ok po. So, 2014 to 2017 ay 3 years po yun tama po ba. Pero pwede pa ako mag stay ng 1 year pa maski expired na yung residency visa ko which is mag expire by 2017. Tapos by 2018 (4th year anniv) pwede na ako mag apply ng citizenship.

    mismo.. kaya po ang nakalagay sa visa label ng PR ay:
    - "permitted to remain in Australia indefinitely"..
    - "must not arrive after .... (validity date)"

    Makisingit lang po ako. Pag nag initial entry ba pwede di na bumalik ng pinas? Mag stay na sa AU from initial entry date. Naisip ko lang kc, medyo magastos sa pamasahe ang balik-balik :D
    pwedeng pwede sir, mas favorable yun pag nag-apply ka na ng citizenship...
    kahit bumalik ka na lang ng Pinas pag AU citizen ka na... after 4 yrs yun...
    baka nga ganon mangyari samen kasi ang mahal ng airfare heehhee :D

    March 5 - ACS submitted......
    March 20 - ACS result.. Suitable (Analyst Programmer)
    March 10 - IELTS Passed!
    June 23 2012 - Sent my paper based application to Adelaide.
    June 26, 2012 - DIAC received and sent a receipt.
    August 9, 2012 - Received Medical and NBI Clearance Request.
    August 10, 2012 - Had a Medical Exam on a Panel Doctor
    August 13, 2012 - NBI Clearance application.
    August 23, 2012 - Medical Results was submitted by the Panel Doctor.
    September 2, 2012 - NBI clearance received by DIAC.
    Visa Grant! - September 6, 2012!!!

    Meron na din po ba nakakuha ng Citizenship dito po?

    Ako, approved na ang citizenship ko waiting na lang ako ng letter, schedule of my citizenship ceremony.

    Just a reminder every year nagbabago ang immigration rules. Kaya dont expect after 3 to 4 years ganun pa rin ang requirements at sistema para mag-apply ng visa at citizenship. Baka may subclass visa na mababawasan. Isipin mo rin kung ilang taon kana nun at kung idad mo na yun ay madali pa ba o mahihirapan kana makakuha ng work. You have to think hundred times kung mag-migrate ka eh now na hwag ng pamaya maya pa. Kasama naman talaga ang hirap at sakripisyo sa pag-abroad at mag migrate sa ibang bansa. In my opinion ko lang ha..

    My visa was granted last December 2014, and nag-Initial Entry na ako sa Syd/Melb nung last December 2014 din for 10 days..

    Based on my understanding, I can stay outside Australia as long as I want, and still be able to come back to Oz multiple times as long as my visa is still valid...

    My question is, assuming I stayed sa Pinas or some other country for a certain period of time like 24 or 36 months... would there be a possibility na hihingan ako ng Character/Police Clearances or even Medical upon my entry again to Australia?

    As far as I know, hindi ako hihingan, pero parang nad-defeat yung purpose dati na naging dependent yung Initial Entry Date ko sa validity nung Medical or Police Clearances ko... pero after the 10 days entry naman eh nag-stay ako outside Australia for most of the validity of the visa......

    I'd appreciate your thoughts and opinions po! :)

    @wizardofOz basta nakapag IED ka na, hindi ka na hingan ulit ng NBI kung balik oz ka...pero once nag-apply ka na ng Citizenship, hingan ka ulit ng NBI at maari rin na hingan ka ng parang equivalent ng NBI kung saang bansa ka man namalagi... baka kako may nagawa kang krimen sa bansa na yun hehehe...
