Hi po, newbie here. This is my ever first comment. I followed the thread about Bachelor Degree Conversion po and I just want to ask if you have any idea why this school posted that this course does not lead to registration in AU? (please check my attached screenshot)

Is there a list of schools in AHPRA/ ANMAC that are only accredited for Conversion? Like for BP.

I am RN in the Philippines and RN here in Dubai, and currently on process of completing requirements to be submitted to AHPRA... and reading about Conversion made me think twice for BP.

    TIA. :)

@angeliquec8 If you read it closely, it’s more of enhancing the nursing competencies rather than for registration per se.

Hello po, bago lang po ako dito. Nurse po ako with 1 year of experience, mag aapply po sana ako ng Student Visa in Australia. Tapos may agency na po akong nakuha. Sila po pumili ng school at course ko. Lawson College po ang school with the course of Health and Community Care package.

@anamariefranco make sure lang po na yung course will lead you to PR pathway. Mga agent kasi gusto lang nyan maka enroll ka. Try asking agency na free of service. I’m still waiting mag reopen slots for bridging. :)

@Cassey Thanks for the reply Sis. So meaning after finishing this course in this University I can proceed to registration? If I passed all the subjects like that? :)

@angeliquec8 Like what I said, IT’S MORE OF ENHANCING THE COMPETENCIES so NO it doesn’t lead to registration like it stated. There are 2 Conversion streams, one that leads to Registration and one that doesn’t. This one does not.

@jkk32w Yes, it’s a requirement for the course but because he didn’t have much time to do it, he took up Dueli instead (english course) by Deakin. English test is a requirement not only for Uni but in AHPRA, ANMAC and for PR application as well.

@Cassey Hi miss Cassey. It's good na ur still active on this site. You really helped me a lot nung ng apply pa lng ako sa school. It's been awhile since my last inquiry here. Anyway everything worked for me here in Oz as a nurse. I am asking for a friend. She accepted sponsorship in one company and she is to apply for visa 482. Un lang she has to pay for the visa and migration agent fees. Mej short na kse budget nya kaya she is thinking she'd apply herself na lng sa visa to save her 2,100 of agent fee. How is the online application sa 482? Would you recommend na DIY lang or kailangan tlg ng help ng migration agent? Thanks.

@syaoran Hi, that’s good to know. :) Unfortunately, wala akong idea with 482 visa. I suggest na magtanong siya dito sa forum http://pinoyau.info/discussion/11174/tss-482-visa/p9 or maghanap siya ng agent na mas mura yung fee.

@syaoran Ask @dy3p baka may idea siya on how it’s done kung kakayanin ba ng DIY. Check mo rin si @RheaMARN1171933 MARA Agent siya o kaya si Ms Angelica O’Sullivan who is also a Migration Agent https://www.reachoutmigration.com.au/about-us/

Hi! question po sana. If okay lang na hindi ideclare na my USRN license ako s AGOS40. I read po kasi sa fb groups na hindi agad nakakapagbigay ng COGS ang board of nursing. I also tried to email texas BON pra mgrequest (dun kase license ko), pero wala pang reply. I have never practiced nursing sa US. Would it be used against me if i don't declare it pra maipasa ko na yung AGOS ko? thanks!

Hi @syaoran! Just advice your friend do DIY. It's as easy as creating an account, filling up an online form then attach the necessary documents which were required for the main applicant and the dependent if meron. If meron dependent/s make sure to ask the employer to include their names during the nomination part. Mabilis lang din yung result ngayon sa TSS/482.

@Cassey Thank you sa referral. Bulk bill ko nalng. hehe jk. @syaoran Like what @LovellaEllen said, she (your friend) really doesn't need an agent for this type of visa application, unless of course she is overly busy. Yep, tell her to save a couple of thousand bucks and just file it. Make sure lang, consistent ang application and all the requirements have been attached.

The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) revised Policy for re-entry to practice for nurses and midwives (2019) took effect today.

The re-entry policy enables a consistent approach to decisions relating to people who have previously held registration in Australia as a nurse and/or a midwife and are seeking to re-enter the professions.

The revised policy reflects the findings from an evidence-based review, which aimed to improve the approach to re-entry by making the process clearer for applicants and employers while ensuring public safety.

    What’s changed?
    In summary, the revised policy:

is structured around assessment and application options
provides clearer guidance for dually registered nurses and/or midwives
provides clearer guidance for those seeking to return to non-clinical practice
has a revised definitions section including the meaning of provisional and general registration and non-clinical practice, and
broadens the options where clinical supervised practice can be undertaken, which is clarified in the definition of ‘supervised practice.’
A number of minor changes were also made following feedback from stakeholders to the advance copy.

    Further information
The re-entry policy supports the Recency of practice registration standard. The re-entry policy is supported by fact sheets and other guidance, including:

    Fact sheet: Re-entry to practice
Fact sheet: Provisional registration information for health services and employers
Fact sheet: Provisional registration information for nurses and midwives
    Supervised practice guidelines
Templates for mapping against the relevant standards for practice
These supporting documents are all available on the Re-entry to practice page on the NMBA website.

Hi Ms. @Cassey. About po sa EOI. My master's degree po kase ako sa pinas and it was assessed by ANMAC with my bachelor's as equivalent to Aus Bachelor's degree. Now, when I lodge my PR application, na detect ng system na my highest qualification is Master's. So baka they'll take it as misinformation and maging ground pa un for rejecting my application. On the other hand, ayoko rn idelete kase naka indicate na dun sa ANMAC letter ko. Now I'm thinking should I just tag it as Bachelor's degree din or safe na idelete na lng?? I really don't mind na d nila maconsider ung master's ko.

@syaoran Kung ang Assessment ng ANMAC is nakabased run sa Masters degree mo, then you have to provide a proof na nagmasteral ka sa Ph. Just make sure that your points will just be based on Bachelors degree and no additional points will be added. It should be fine as long as hindi ka magooverclaim.

@cherryeoh2004 I don’t think there is not unless that ANMAC recognized it as such. It should say on your LOD whether it’s recognized as a Bachelor’s Degree or a Masters.
