@hopefullyoz Hi po! Ask ko lang regarding sa COE na nirequest mo from SGV. Did you gave them format to include JD or yung usual COE lang na may position, tenure and binigay sayo? Im also from SGV and preparing my documents for assessment. TIA

@hopefullyoz, sa CPAA have you attached a certificate of good standing from PICPA? Is this required or ID is enough? If yes, paano ka nagrequest? Thank you!

@Emong is this for the migration requirement? I did not attach the cert. of good standing, and was not asked by CPAA.

But for the associate membership in CPAA, required ang certificate. I requested the certificate from PICPA Cebu chapter’s office, and was asked to pay 100php. Mabilis lng naman ang processing.

@shanerivera_bluice hindi na. I don't remember it being required by CPAA, but please recheck na rin. Their requirements may have changed since July last year.

@shanerivera_bluice the coe is of no use of it doesn’t have the tasks listed. Technically, you should submit reference letters and not COE. If the tasks have been covered on the letter, no need to provide any other letters. All the best.

@snmgil I haven't pursued applying yet. I just checked the requirements if ever I decide to apply. Ang understanding ko, if you qualify for the associate membership, you still need to take the 6 exams and comply with the experience requirement. Deets here:

@Emong I wish I could give you a credible answer. I'm not (yet) a success story, so you shouldn't take my word. I don't have an agent. If you don't have the time, and you think you need help, then you definitely need an agent.

Hi guys, ask ko lang po based sa experience nyo regarding processing time ng CPAA skills assessment, ilang araw po bago lumabas result? 2 weeks na po kase today ang nakalagay sa website ay UNDER 10 business days... should i follow up na po ba?

@WAHM 15 working days ang alam ko unless nag bago na. And yes you can follow up kong yun naka lagay sa website nila.

@WAHM ung sakin 15 working days.. as in saktong sa ika 15th e lumabas na sya from the date na sinend ko ung pinareresend ni cpaa.... i initially submitted ng march 11, nagadditional request ng march 14 then lumabas result ng april 4.

question, pwede na ba ako mag lodge ng eoi, nareceive ko na ung academics assessment ko pero inaantay ko pa ung skilled employment assessment ko? nagparesend ksi sila ng employment ref letters. kaya nadelay ung skilled employment assessment. Thank you

Hi @edge tama si @batman you need to wait sa skills assessment mo kc dun ka magbabased kung ilang years yung work experience na icclaim mo sa EOI. Alam mo naba kung ilang yrs ang maaacknowledge?

hi po ask ko lang, may pinsan po akong PR sa australia, tpos ako po I graduated with a degree of accountacy pero hindi ko pa po napapasa CPA board exam, may chance po kaya ako mabigyan ng VISA 489? if sponsored nung cousin ko

@ali0522 yes may chance, given na pasok yung points mo sa requirement, Kahit ndi ka CPA sa pinas. Though mahabang proseso, need mo english test, academic assessment/ skilled experience assessment and so on. Try mo mag self assessment muna if makakakuha ka ng points around 70 pataas mas malaki chances.

Hi planning to take up the student visa path doing masters tapos graduate visa then 189. My problem is do you think I will still get positive assessment/visa grant if wala akong points for work experience? My work experience kasi were AR/AP functions for less than 3 years related so I’m sure di counted. Although I’m a cpa in the Phil. Anyway, hoping to get insights from anyone po. Thank you.

@reginalove work experience isn’t necessary to get positive assessment. As long as you meet the minimum points required then you will be eligible to apply for a skilled visa. An alternative is apply a 485 visa after you graduate and get work experience in Australia and then apply for a skilled Visa eventually. It’s a long haul though and not guaranteed it will work but worth looking into it if you’re decided to take the student Visa pathway.
