@jessalo how did you come up with your points. Go to the government website and use the search function to look for these visa subclasses. Everything you need to know is in there. I would suggest though before you decide on the visa, make sure you meet two basic things first, have at least 65 points and a positive skills assessment

@RheaMARN1171933 In one of the seminars i attended po, may nag aassess ng points. Tapos sabi sakin i need to get 20 points sa pte to be able to get a total 80 points. Hindi rin ako sure if pwede na 80 points. Thanks for the reply. :)

@jessalo if 189 subclass, though you will be eligible to apply for a visa once you reach at least 65 points, these days they prioritise granting invites to those with at least 90 points. Your best option is to look into 190 or 489. All the best.

@InahPerez you need a working visa to work here. To get visa you need to get invited. To get invited you need to have assessment of your skills, employment, pass English test, pass medical test. Etc. Read more and ask more to get more info.

@InahPerez I hope all is well but I think you should try working first in the Philippines before jumping overseas. Life overseas is tough especially if you don't have anybody to support you.

Good evening po sa lahat. Just seeking for advise. I'm planning to apply for 190/189 (Accounting) by June. Currently, I'm on 485 visa which is expiring next year May. Below is the breakdown of my points:
    Education: 20 pts
    Age: 30 pts
    NAATI: 5 pts
PY: 5 pts (finishing this June)
    English: 20 pts
    Total: 80 pts
An agent suggested that I check the regional visa (e.g. study in Tasmania). Mas better ba na yung regional provisional visa yung ipursue ko or my chance pa to get an invite (189/190) with my current points.

@rach2019 I don’t understand why an agent would advise you to study. Just be cautious of the possibility that they may be suggesting for you to study due to commission from the institution. I don’t know the exact picture but with 80 points, you could seek for state sponsorship which would give you additional 5 points. 189 would be a long shot since you need to get 90 points these days to get prioritised.

Thanks for the info @RheaMARN1171933 . Thats my plan, but the agent was telling me that its better for me to study 1 year in Tasmania, apply for regional provisional visa, and that I should do it as soon as possible before maexpire yung visa ko. So naconfuse ako on what I should do. Thank you po!

@rach2019 like I said, be cautious of the intention of this agent. At the same time, I do not have a clear picture of your situation so hard to provide an accurate and professional advice. All the best

Hi question lang on what I should do next.
-I'm not an accountant in the PH and my degree is not accounting
-I worked in a bank for 4 years
-Graduated recently from Masters in Accounting here in AU
    -Superior English for PTE
    -Currently under 485 visa

Trying to find work pero parang ang hirap since I don't have any accounting background. So I'm thinking if I should just finish my Professional Year for Acctg para sa additional points and sa internship narin which could lead to employment, hopefully. Ayun lang it will cost another 6k-7k aud to do this.

Is there a cheaper/ quicker pathway for me? Or ito na talaga yung best option for the meantime? If may tips din kayo on how to get employed here let me know :)

Thanks in advance sa tutulong :)

Hi Everyone. Bago lang po ako sa forum.
Ask ko lang po if may minimum years of work experience ba para mabigyan ni CPAA ng positive skilled person assessment?
Totoo po ba na di nila cinocount ung 1 yr experience?
Currenlty, eto po work experience ko:
1 yr 2 months as external auditor sa big4
1 yr 7 months and counting as credit analyst sa isang oil and gas MNC
May chance po ba ako na mabigyan ng positive assessment? Or need ko po maghintay na maka 2 or 3 yrs ako sa current job ko? Or should I look for another role?

In addition, nabasa ko po na di required na CPA ka to get a positive assessment, but may advanatage po ba if CPA and US CMA pag nagpaassess?
    Thank you in advance po.

@batman @RheaMARN1171933 if you have inputs, thanks po.

@Phil413 walang bearing ang cma, if Philippines CPA it adds value for assessment of qualification.

For skilled employment wala naman deduction as long as JD is related or closely related sa nominated occupation mo as per anszco.
