Hello. Meron po ba dito nagpa-assess as Mechanical Engineer na positive outcome?

Pa-help po. Nagpa-assess kasi ako but the officer commented na insufficient yun career episodes ko. I should explain how I did the tasks not just what I did.

Can someone share sample career episodes po para magka-idea lang ako how to revise it?

Hingin ko po sana ang inyong kaalaman tungkol po sa EA assessment.

From Sec 3 school, ECE graduate, not Licensed po with 2 years Telecom Test Engineer experience sa Pinas.

Reason for EA assessment
——for claiming partner’s skills points po sana. Husband is graduating Bachelor of IT dito sa Sydney and on our way to 485 visa. If papalarin po ako sa EA, mas mabilis po kami makakapagsubmit EOI for extra points.

—Question po is worth it po ba ang pagpapaassess ko with regards po sa conditions ko?may pagasa po kaya?

Hi! First time ko dito. Looking for advice from my fellow IE's. Torn kasi ako which assessment route ang ipursue: EA or ACS. I am a business analyst, IT related yung profession under ACS. But, since my work experience would be deducted, thinking mag-EA route. Mgkaiba din advice sakin ng agency, yung isa sabi EA, yung isa naman ACS. Anyone with a similar situation? Why did you choose EA vs ACS. Thanks!!

Hi.. anyone here na nawala ITR from previous employers sa pinas. Pano kayo nakakuha ng ITR ulit?

Because this is the only way we can think of, since nawala na din yung mga payslips.

@Ozstraya the agent shouldn’t be deciding on which occupation you should be nominated but rather should guide you in deciding. Choose an occupation where you think you could provide the most evidence. You’re the best person to judge.

@wellac kapatid, see below response from BIR. You can try to request from previous employer (if ma accomodate pa nila) or follow below instruction. Di ko lang alam how long will it take pag nag request sa BIR - and very important na malaman mo saang branch nag file ang previous employer mo.

note : hindi ko naituloy na magrequest dito sa RDO kaya I cannot guarantee na positive ang outcome ng ganitong option - pero sharing na din baka sakali makatulong

@wellac depende siguro if may ma produce kang ibang evidence if walang ITR - other than SSS. Try mo din PAG IBIG. Atsaka magsama ka nalang siguro ng proof na dika na maka obtain ng ITR.

@wellac maalala ko lang ishare na hiningan ako ng ITR ng EA e despite na nakapag pasa na ako ng ibang evidence kaya since wala na ako maproduce other than yun ITR ko sa final year sa previous company - nagpasa nalang ako ng stat dec.

HI All,

Ask ko lang po sana may makasagot if okay lang mag create ng CDR about project na hndi pa completed kasi on-going pa sya. EA rejected my 1 CE because its all about my roles and responsibilities as Facilies Engineer which is hndi pla applicable kay EA. Thank you

@brix9999 Hi. Same tayo ng situation. 2 of my CEs were rejected by EA because these were about my roles and responsibilities sa company. I had one month to revise. What I did was focus on two projects where I was part of sa mga companies na un. And dun ko dinivelop ung CE ko. I used diagrams, formulas, tsaka mga standards (ASME, etc) related to the said project. I re-submitted my CEs then after one day lumabas result at tinanggap naman ng EA.

@kb.rinoa @brix9999 for example po part ng role mo sa company ang Preparation ng certain report, hindi po sya pwede ilagay sa CDR?

@czianczia28 singit na ako ha for added info. Hindi maari gawing cdr ang preparation ng certain report - which you routinely perform as part of your job responsibility.
In my experience, it should be project based na ni lead mo from start to completion. Within the project doon maari mong idiscuss yung mga reports that you created for the project, diagrams, process flow, etc.

read the EA guidelines ng mabuti and check the sample CDRs para mapag aralan ang takbo ng discussion for each CDRs which clearly demonstrates a project based activity that showed how you utilized your engineering skills.

@ms_ane I am an Environmental Engineer by profession po, kaya usually environmental reports po ang ginagawa ko to acquire a certain permit sa DENR para makapag operate ang isang project. Below is the description of Envi Engineer based sa EA:

Assesses the impact on air, water, soil and noise levels in the vicinity of engineering projects, plans and designs equipment and processes for the treatment and safe disposal of waste material, and assesses what may cause problems for the environment in the long-term.

Currently po nasa consulting firm ako and we're preparing Environmental Impact Study. Yung different reports na naprepare ko ang ginawa ko as CDR. June pa ako naka sched ng PTE kaya hindi pa ako nakakapag pa asseaa

Hi @brix9999. Not sure about on-going projects since it is not clearly stated in the MSA booklet (section 2.5.4) however you should provide dates and duration of the project (probably, you can state that it is still on-going? hintay tayo sa inputs ng iba).

Your roles and responsibilities is only a part of the CDR, the way you implemented the project is another story. You should highlight the events that made impact on that particular project.

For example, "I developed a procedure readily available to my team to ensure that my colleagues can perform the activity even without my presence."

Note under section 2.5.2 of the MSA booklet:
Please Note:
It is not sufficient to merely describe work in
which you were involved. Career Episodes must be written in the first person singular clearly indicating your own personal role in the work described. Remember, it is what I did, not what we did or what ‘I was involved in’ and describe how you did it.

Each career episode should emphasise any engineering problems identified by you and any particular problem solving techniques you applied. The purpose of this is to assess your personal contribution in meeting project and task objectives.

Hi po sa mga ECEs dito, tanong lang po ako for a friend na starting pa lang din sa AU dream nya. ECE po kasi sya pero working sa Telecom company. for almost 5yrs. May other experience sya sa Electronic company pero mas matagal sya and currently nsa Telecomm. Sa anong ANSZCO code kaya sya and saang accessing body sya?

Presenting work conducted by others as your own and/or using other people's words (templates, Career Episodes, online sources etc.) is considered plagiarism and is a violation of Engineers Australia's code of ethics". Hence, kindly provide a detailed explanation on this matter and a documentary evidence that may support your claim such as references or career episode templates, etc. Failure to provide requested explanation in the given time frame with unsatisfactory explanation will result to an unsuccessful outcome."

I created my own CE and didn't use any online sources what would I say to EA regarding this matter. Thanks

@brix9999 yes po. Mas ok po siguro if you can have it signed by your superior. In my case po nag lagay ako ng screenshots sa CDR ng reports/assessments na ginawa ko.
