edited July 2019 in Update

  1. Point system changes for Skills Independent from Nov 2019

Stand by for more detailed info but one notable change is the awarding of additional points for those applicants who are single, partners who have good English skills and applicants that are sponsored by a state government or relative in a regional area.

  1. Visa Fee increase from July 1

Most lodgement fees will increase by 5.4% beginning July 1.

Examples are:

  • General Skilled Migration from $3,755 to $3,958
  • Student visas from $575 to $606
  • Partner visas from $7,160 to $7,547

For other fee increase, you may use this as reference https://www.acacia-au.com/visa-application-fee-increases.php

  1. Longer processing time for partner visa.

What's not mentioned clearly in the (SBS) article that there is a 2.25% CPI increase for almost all visa applications, aside from the budgeted 5.4% increase mentioned by the government.

(The partner visa actually costs $7715, not just $7547)

hi guys, ask ko lang if yung mga graduate sa section 2 na universities is hindi na makakapag claim ng bachelor's degree unless meron MBA or PRC license, kaya ang ma.claim lang is associate degree. So, paano naman yung mga IE lalo na iisang anzsco code lang sila ng ME? Please enlighten po.

    TIA.

If you check the immigration website, you'll see that the visa is still open.

Maybe processing/approval is very slow or very limited, but it's not closed.

The visa classification has not been marked as closed on the immigration website.

I assume you're referring to the 189 Points Tested Stream?

Maybe you can't apply because you weren't invited yet.

    Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189)
    Points tested stream
This visa lets invited workers with skills we need live and work permanently anywhere in Australia.
You don't need a sponsor or nominator
You must be invited to apply
You must be under 45 to be invited

@VirGlySyl , I agree. Kaya I was wondering bakit ganun ang information saken ng agent ko. Tapos ang info is may changes with CEP, that section 2 uni must need PRC or masters to claim Bachelor's Degree, wala na yung GWA or 5 year-course, malaki ang implications sa IE or other Engineers nian, also, paano yung may mga assessment na, diba?

@VirGlySyl, Tapos ang mangyayare is maging Associate Degree with 10 points sa Education at apply daw sa Engineering Technologist.

Hi Guys, Seeking for POV and opinions po kung may info kayong alam or nakaencounter kayo ng ganto.

Matagal ng usapan to. May mga section 2 na nagiging comparable, based sa agent ko , based sa exp nila pag may mga PRC or license. Nabibigyan ng comparable to bachelor's degree sila.

Hi Sir/Maam, I agree but per agent yung mga nakapag claim ng bachelors without license na from section 2. Need daw magpa assess again due to new rules.

Additionally, if awarded na mag rerework lahat.

@missnutritionist you also need to consider the additional costs below.
    1. Skill Assessment
    2. English Review and Exam Cost e.g. IELTS or PTE
    3. Cost on requesting for the required docs and getting these certified for true copies e.g. TOR, Diplomas, etc.

    Hi.

Dito po ba pinapaaccredit yung work experience? IT worker po ako and may nagsabi sakin na para majustify ko na 8yrs+ na akong nagwowork ay need kong isubmit ang COEs and Payslips sa acs.org.au.

Another question, about educational experience.

Dito po ba pinapaaccredit yung work experience? IT worker po ako and may nagsabi sakin na para majustify ko na 8yrs+ na akong nagwowork ay need kong isubmit ang COEs and Payslips sa acs.org.au.

Another question, about educational experience.

@xtiannf00 if I may, ano ba job code mo? are ano be role mo sa IT for the past 8 years+ na na mention mo?
anyway, tama si @stokedninja , you would need the following documents para ma asses yung occupation mo.
    1. COE (may template to, ma google mo lang)
    2. Payslips
    3. Diploma / Certificates
    4. TOR
    5. others: IT Certifications
note, dapat naka certify true copy yan lahat.
