Hi po.. makikisali lang po ako.. parang gusto ko na din po kase kunin ung chance na mag Student visa then magaral ulit dyan.. BTW Im a BS Computer Science graduate.

Enge lang po sana ako ng suggestions regarding what uni or even courses na maganda itake dyan and Im currently a software tester(AUtomation and Manual) , may mkukuha po kaya akong part time job dyan?

Hoping po na maliwanagan ako..

@jaarman magstudent ka muna? you won't try to check first if you have a chance for a direct 189/190/491 Permanent Residency?

If student talaga target mo and Melbourne ang target mo and gusto mo maPR after, it would be better for you to studying and living in a regional place like Waurn Ponds so you can gain extra points. Deakin Waurn Ponds would be an option. Studying anywhere in the Metropolitan area of Melbourne would not give you any pts.

But if you are not considering to have PR, then feel free to study anywhere in Melbourne.;)

As for part time, if you are looking for a part time in an IT field, meron naman, pero honestly, mahirap makahanap. usually IT work needs full time people thus they seldom opt for students. As for non-IT part time, marami naman. You would need connections, patience and a mind that is willing to do anything.;)

For 189/190/491 Already lodged them but 10 points plang pte ko making it 75 for189 .. I'll be taking an exam again cguru by feb but Im considering this hehe..

Ineexplore ko padin tong option na to, mejo kinakabahan lang ako sa job if I can find a part time or even a full time job (kung swertihan man)

@frisch24 Anu kaya masusuggest mo na course wherein hindi sya mabigat sa bulsa and at the same time for the sake that I can study there.

@jaaarman that is a very generic question kasi most schools and universities increase their fees almost every year. and I don't know what your budget is, so I am not in the best position to give an advice on that.

as for the course, only you can say what you would like to do, like is software testing ba talaga gusto mong work? may makukuha ka bang pts sa work experience mo jan sa pinas? if yes, then better take advantage of that and get a course na aligned jan. Para magamit mo both yung work exp at study mo dito sa Aus, if ever, sa ACS assessment mo.

and again, as for the job, kung willing ka naman mag work na hnd in line sa IT habang nag-aaral ka, then makakahanap nyan.;)

kaya mo yan bro ako naka 3 take bago mag superior. Kung kaya mag 189 or 190 dun kayo kasi pag dating sa job hunting hindi ka limited. Check nyo sa Seek dami open but need fulltime.

@rjlim oo nga pre.. magrestart na ulit ako magreview for pte.. mukang mga bago na yung exam e haha.. panu ka nagtake nun.. nung di mo nakuha ung superior after ilang weeks ka ulit nagtake?

@frisch24 yung sa assessment ok na ako dun hehe.. naka 10 points naman ako for experience during acs assessment.. yung course lang din tlga ung iniisip ko pa tlga if ever na ituloy ko ung SV pathway

Hi po! Nagbabasa basa ako ng comments dito. Plan kasi ng husband ko. mag student visa for Master's in IT/ICT. Programmer kasi talaga siya pero sa taas ng points na iniinvite for skilled migrant, mukhang mababa na chance namin. Plan ko din sumama kaya Master's kukunin niya para makawork ako fulltime. ICT Business Analyst naman ako. Ano po kayang regional states ang may demand for IT din? Ang nabasa ko so far is Adelaide and Gold Coast.

Recommendation lang po sana about student visa in AU (Melbourne)

I'm holding a bachelors degree in IT here in the PH and working as an IT Helpdesk/Service Desk for almost 5 years.

Nag punta po kasi ako sa isang agency somewhere in Makati and they recommend na kumuha ng Graduate Diploma/Certificate para mataas daw yung chances to grant a visa.

Okay lang po ba na kumuha ako ng mga VET Courses instead of getting a higher education program?

@caius24 Hello! marami pong factor need nyo iconsider para makapagdecide kayo kung best option yung vet course. For PR po ba plan nyo or studies lang? kung for PR, check nyo po muna yung section ng school nyo for your bachelor. Be familiarise with ACS assessment as well. As far as I know IT Helpdesk/Service desk is not included in their occupation list.

Grad dip is 1 yr lang, grad cert is 6 mos. so kung yan lang po yung kukunin nyo, di din po kayo makakaclaim for au study points. di din po kayo eligible mag post grad study visa (TR) kasi isa sa reqs nila ay at least 2 yrs yung course na tinapos nyo dito sa au. so either mag extend pa po kayo student visa or uuwi sa pinas.

Pasali dito sa thread... pwede mag ask... for the benefit of pamangkins who are thinking of and interested also in bachelors studies in Australia as international students.

For bachelors degree in IT like yours, magkano on average ang costs per year sa uni costs (assuming full academic load)? Hows the difficulty naman for bachelors studies in Western Syd U?

Sorry for the late response. Around $30,000 per year po ang tuition fee. Yung sa difficulty po it depends kasi sa tao, nakaya ko naman po sya as long as talagang pursigido yung pamangkin nyo for sure makakaya din nya. May mga units na sobrang dali na para ka lang naglalaro meron naman po na talagang nakakastress.

Bloody beautiful! Wonderful experience pero madugo minsan ang programming. If you love algorithms you wont have any probs for sure . Mawson lakes is fantastic nearly perfect. Just dont expect nightlife if youre a party goer

May I know what course are you taking? Hearing your stories makes me so excited. What’s your recommended area for renting and the average rental fee for a house (1 bedroom)? Were you able to get a part-time job related to IT? Is it manageable to study and work at the same time? Sorry If I have a lot of questions. 😊

Hi po. Exciting yes. But your next questions will depend on you. Ask yourself before you go here. Do you really want to be here? Are you ready to give everything regardless? Idc actually kung ano makuha kong work dito but the mentality that i had before going here did not ask the specifics that you are asking po. Not a crab mentality but just saying the truth even if you ask our fellow countrymen here . Following that, the I can always say theres a lot of i.t. Jobs here but dont forget the locals are hungry too. Not including the international students like us na gusto din makasali sa game
