    Thanks all...

My brother-in-law is stepping in and will be talking to his lawyer about the migration. Not totally aware which route he's talking about but it's one which will not require me to take IELTS just the college credentials etc... hmmm so may skills assessment pa din, na mention nya that they (his lawyer) will need me to put in some changes on my job descriptions to cater that of the countries' format.

Will try to share progress soon... Just landed PH again, will do the leg work for the requirements na from my Uni...

That’s interesting...however Part of CPA Australia requirements for skills assessment is ielts score 7 or equivalent. This has nothing to do with immigration but imposed by the professional body. I’m not sure how a lawyer can get a way with that...hmmm

Pag migrate route required ang English test.

Pag employer sponsored yun alam ko wala English test required.

Been a while since I logged in here as I have been putting off my application for a visa 189.

Nasa Brisbane ako ngayon pero tourist visa lang for the holidays and will be going back to PH on the 4th of Jan... :( and yeah, part of my being here is to see kung ok ba to finally push through with the application. The answer is yes, life here is different... I'll end with that.

Two of my sisters are already citizens, one in SYD and another in BNE. Max score that I can get atm is 90 and based on the link for Dec 2019 round min is now at 100 points T_T which is quite disheartening.

Any chance of it coming down? Should I still proceed?

    Tenchu! :)

Go for it, try regional areas.

@batman @dakila78 I'm also waiting for SC491 but so far, offshore applicants can apply only for nomination if with job offer.. Rest of the areas open for SC491 are favorable only to onshore applicants.. I'm hoping they will still soon relax requirements for offshore applicants.

NSW - 491 open only for Stream 2 occupations; Accountants are under Stream 1
    NT - needs job offer
SA - available only to those currently living/working in SA
TAS - available only to TAS graduates, currently living in TAS or with job offer

@AspiringEntrep so far NT and TAS only are the states where you can apply for nomination even if offshore but you need to have a job offer..

Further to my inquiry above, okay lang po ba na negative assessement sa CPA, then nagpass ka ng mas correct na JD pero sa IPA this time? Hindi po ba suspicious ang dating? Salamat po sa insights! :)

@batman thank you sa reply. Narealise kasi namin na kaya negative naging assessment ko initially kasi more on prep of financial reports yung JD ko. We’re thinking of putting more review and analysis duties para mas pasok as accountant. Hindi ko lang alam best way to do that. Better ba to make an appeal and submit an updated JD or sa iba na lang ako magpaassess with new JD? Thank you sa advice. Appreciate it! :)

Hi! Ako po, nung una negative ung result bg CPA Australia sa work experience ko. Ginawa ko nag appeal ako after amending ung employer testimonial then kinonsider nila and got the positive result. Very detailed dapat ung testimonial.

You can appeal same assessing body, just provide new evidence of your claim.

This is one of the setback pag DIY dapat talaga Well research sa mga stage nato kasi it will make or break your goal.

Hi, tanong ko lang. Ive been browsing Jobseek.com, based sa mga qualifications is “CA/CPA or close to completion“ ang essential criteria, does that mean for Chartered Accountants yun at hindi yun CPA ng PH, right? Napansin ko din na mas mababa ang sahod sa jobs na hindi yun nirerequire. Medyo mahirap din pala maghanap ng work. Also, wala akong idea how much salary ang katumbas sa experience ko.
    Deloitte:
    Senior Tax 2 yrs
    Senior Audit 4mo
    Audit Assoc 1yr 9mo
    Accenture: Accountant 6mo
    Pls advise. Thanks

    Hi, All!
I'm a recent CPA passer. Pangarap kong mag-aral ng masteral and magwork sa Australia, kaso I have zero idea talaga kung pano ang proseso.
Ilang years ba work experience ang needed? How much ang savings?

Heyooo... If you really want something you do the best you can to achieve it and part of that is research. Back read ka, you'll learn a lot. Also, the immig website swarms with information. They have links within the details so you will just have to follow them... its overwhelming at first pero you'll get the hang of it in no time! easy peasy. you just have to start.

depende kasi which route/visa you're taking and each of those have different requirements pa...

for someone who badly wants to go without much experience, I would think the student visa is best. Haha Di po ako expert other guys here have more experience.

My sister in Brisbane rents her rooms to people and one of them is a teenager from Cuba. He took the student visa route and studies english, does some work kung meron though not regular. I think you're only allowed to do 20hrs a week... (experts please confirm).

Madami na palang Chinese every where. Sabi nila, Chinese families would buy properties in australia and that automatically gives them PR status na.... not sure kung totoo pero that's what the locals are saying.

    :hushed:

Hi, tanong ko lang. Ive been browsing Jobseek.com, based sa mga qualifications is “CA/CPA or close to completion“ ang essential criteria, does that mean for Chartered Accountants yun at hindi yun CPA ng PH, right? Napansin ko din na mas mababa ang sahod sa jobs na hindi yun nirerequire. Medyo mahirap din pala maghanap ng work. Also, wala akong idea how much salary ang katumbas sa experience ko.
    Deloitte:
    Senior Tax 2 yrs
    Senior Audit 4mo
    Audit Assoc 1yr 9mo
    Accenture: Accountant 6mo
    Pls advise. Thanks

Hi @Bashy , yes correct. yung CPA nila is CPA Australia. Our title is not recognized there though maybe it is a plus for some. I'm a CPA too. let's get in touch.

Hi @agentKams would you mind sharing the cons? Because even SC190 or 491, there's a very slim chance for offshore applicants considering the job offer requirement..

@JohndAU currently, accountants are sitting at 100 points to be invited. if you are inexperienced and go the study pathway route, 2 years spent to get the 5 points (+5 if you study in regional) and after this points still not enough and immigration rules changes maghahabol na naman kayo ng points, waste of time and money. hindi din madali makakuha ng local accounting experience while studying dahil most position require full time, with experience and others would require permanent residents only. slim chance to get points for Australian work experience. if your risk-apetite is high and have money to burn to go further for NAATI and professional year then go take the chance.

@dakila78 that is still too high for offshore applicants. that means you should have maximum points for age, work experience, PTE/IELTS, Single/with Skilled spouse PLUS NAATI.

Nice! Galing. Let’s just pray na maubos din 95 soon. Same here, max points ko is 90. Pero di pa ako nakapagtake ng NAATI, how’s it? Okay lang pa PM pano ka nagprepare and materials. Salamat.

Anyone tried to directly apply at KPMG australia and request for sponsorship? Please reply. I just took the online assessment last week and I'm wondering if there is a chance to land a job there. Need your advice fellow CPAs. Thank you
