Salamat ulit.

    Moving on...

    Q. If I have already received a suitable assessment from CPA Australia under the ASCO criteria, will you consider my skilled employment or my academic qualifications for the purposes of DIAC awarding points? A.
If you have already obtained a suitable skills assessment for your nominated occupation before 1 July 2011 and apply for a visa on or after 1 July 2011, the Department of Immigration and Citizenship will advise if you need to obtain further advice on your qualifications or skilled employment from CPA Australia. This information will be requested if required to support your claims when the application is assessed.

    http://www.cpaaustralia.com.au/cps/rde/xchg/cpa-site/hs.xsl/become-how-migration-faq.html

    - based on this, i guess pwede naman po talga. i nominate nyo po ang corresponding new ANZSCO code ng Accountant..

@pyschoboy, thanks bro. I'll be submitting my papers for the CPAA assessment this Friday, I hope I will get good results.

@examiner30, i think nasagot nman na ni lock_code most of your questions. RE your new employment experience as bank examiner, I think this can contribute para sa higher points mo sa work experience kasi it still involves examination of internal controls for banks. I think in your COE for your bank examiner job, you might want to highlight to your HR na ihighlight yung mga duties and responsibilities closely related sa description ng nominated ANZSCO code nyo. You can refer to the following link for the job description for Accountants.

I just want to know for those people na nakapagpassess na sa CPAA, anong ilalagay nila sa letter nila - that you meet the criteria of an Australian Bachelor's degree or diploma equivalent?

As for the skills assessment (kung pasado ka sa Bachelor's degree criteria), will they also indicate how many years of relevant experience they think you have or can claim?

From CPAA assessment above, will these be your basis in claiming points in EOI?

    Thanks?

@psychoboy, I understand and thanks anyway. Yup, I have prepared the duties and responsibilities that I intend to attach with my statutory declaration in lieu of the COE from my previous and current employers. I was just intrigued when I read about your comment on your wife's detailed COE which ran to 6 pages and I thought I might have missed some of the duties performed in audit or maybe my description of the duties are not as detailed as your wife's.
    Regards
When i've requested certificate of employment from SGV, they have already template for the detailed job descriptions requirementsfor immigration. I think around 3 pages din yata (nasa pinas pa kasi pinakuha ko lang sa wife ko) which they provided together with the certificate of employment.

Unfortunately, for my 2 employers here in Singapore, one is audit firm, wala akong nakuhang detailed job descriptions. So most likely mag statutory declarations nlang ako. =(

I think CPA Australia is not that hard to complete and pass, pero costly kasi dahil sa membership and exams and may enrollment dates na susundin. Mas madali sya compared sa CA (Chartered Accountant) path or ACCA (UK based). CPA in Australia is Certified Practising Accountant not the acronym in PH na based sa America. .

Pero kung gusto mo lang ipractice yung pagiging CPA mo sa pinas sa Australia, you cannot do it by the license or acronym alone. Generally, outside the Philippines, our licensed/ certifications doesnt carry much weight. They will patronise their own local licensed/ certifications. Global certifications or certifications from other bigger countries like UK or US is also good. Overall your skills and past experience is much important and your main weapon to land a job abroad.

The assessment result will how a line which goes like:

"A formal qualification assessed as comparable to Australian Bachelor Degree" - there will also be a part there wherein it will show how many mandatory/optional courses were judged as completed or satisfied...

The skills assessment will also show the number of relevant work experience that is recognized by CPAA - all of these can be used as basis for the point you may claim upon lodgement of EOI.

Statutory Declaration is fine @vhoythoy - just make sure to provide additional documents to PROVE that you are indeed employed under your companies in SG - contract, previous payslip, IDs, etc...

I have generic COE printed in company letter, payslip, contracts, and IRAS form to support the statutory declarations.

@vhoythoy, risk advisory pala, ibang JD nun. Thanks for the offer though.

as for the stat dec, pede mo download ung form dito - http://www.ag.gov.au/Publications/Pages/Statutorydeclarations.aspx

tapos fill-up mo lang with the details ng gusto mo ideclare then attach mo ung mga supporting docs mo (COE, signed contract, etc.)

bale ung stat dec, dalhin mo sa AU High Commission then dun mo pirmahan infront of the witnessing authority tapos nun ibabind nila ung signed stat dec together with the supporting docs.
Nice.

Thanks for all the answers mates. I have read the FAQs from the CPAA website before and I thought they were referring to Academic updates only and since wala naman nadagdag sa education ko diko na masyadong pinansin. hehe Sila na din pala nag aassess ng qualified work experience for the nominated ANZCO code ngayon.

I will just send the additional documents, in my case, the COE and job description. Nalilito kasi ako kasi nung nagpa assess ako di naman nila ginagamit ang work exp na basis eh nabasa ko to sa FAQs:

    Q. I had an assessment completed under the old rules and want to update or review it. Will a reassessment be under the current rules?
    A. Yes. All requests for updates or reviews of an assessment result will now be assessed under the current criteria, regardless of when you submitted your first application for assessment.

If that will be the case, I have to seat for an Acad IELTS, right? :(

    Moving on...

Hindi nyo na po kailangan ng reassessment as long na valid pa po ung dating assessment nyo. Kung 2010 po kau nagpaassess, I'm sure valid pa po yan kc during that time, 5 years po ung binibigay nilang validity ng assessment.

2010 ako nakakuha ng favorable assessment from CPAA.

d ako naka 7 in 4 modules ng ielts. Or other option mo is state sponsorship which i also did.

    Hi Jane,

Will state sponsorship not require a skills assessment from any of the accounting bodies? If you did not get the minimum score in ielts that would not qualify you for an assessment. thanks.

Hi, If I may answer.. the assessment was done by CPAA, but at that time (year 2010), IELTS was not a requirement yet by the assessing authority...
