Hello everyone! Ask lang po sana ako pano computation ng tax sa Australia. I am from Abu Dhabi at wala dito tax and will be moving to SA this July. If earning 65k annually ano po computation ng tax? How much would be the weekly take home pay? WIll the company automatically deduct the tax weekly or fortnightly? Sorry i dont have any idea on any of this. I will be coming with my family(Wife and 2 kids) so i need to have an idea whats an ideal salary in SA for a family of 4. Salamat po sa sasagot.

congrats to you too @tesu ... yeah, I came across a similar discussion and spoke with a few PR friends who are already in Australia and gave birth there. Most of them are saying the following things:

If Born there, then the baby will acquire citizenship at birth.

Hospitable bills will be covered by the government/medicare or in other words giving birth is for free as long as it is in the a public system. (Not sure about this yet and hopefully someone can confirm.)

fly to australia as soon as possible as it's not safe and healthy for the baby. they say 4 to 5 months is allowed to fly.

Hello.. I gave birth in Canberra. Flew there when I was 35 to 36 weeks pregnant. Gave birth at a public hospital, Cs. We paid nothing. All covered by medicare. Mas maganda pa yun hospital kesa sa St lukes. All my pre natal check ups are free. My son is citizen na.

Yes, that time wala kaming work ng husband ko, just went there to give birth then umuwi muna kami dito sa pinas to sell our properties and para palakihin muna si baby ng konti. Wala kasi kaming makakasama pa doon na pwede mag alaga. We will go back to Australia on May this year.

@tmasuncion and @kramkramkram thanks, i did my research too, and apparently your are right. in QLD, children and senior citizen lang pwede for dental. im looking into private health insurance and keen on getting Bupa, any thoughts or suggestions?

Tax is usually deducted during payday. Meron din Superannuation. Most of the time pag salary negotiation ang asking amount is plus Super like "65k + super"

I only have experience with Bupa and Medibank. I switched to Medibank from Bupa due to discount from my work(about 15%).

It will really depend on your requirements and lifestyle. If you just want basic cover you can get the cheapest one and limited extras. At first, we opted for a growing family requirement that includes pregnancy, etc. After a few years, we changed our plan and remove the pregnancy and added some orthodontic services (to cover braces for my kid). Take note of the wait times (usually a year) when switching plan/provider.

oo nga pala guys, na update ko na yung bagong passport ko sa immAccount. mga ilang araw kaya to or weeks bago nila ma udpate? plano kasi namin mag first entry next month.

For those who are having their big move soon, ito yung mga items na sana nagdala kami ng marami kasi medyo mahal dito or out of stock or mahirap hanapin:
1. Face masks
2. Alcohol
3. Hand sanitizer
4. Tabo (meron naman pero hirap hanapin and around 5 dollars)
5. Portable Bidet (hindi uso ang bidet)
6. Tissue (meron naman sana ito kaso nagpanic buying na sila kaya always out of stock na sa groceries)

1.if mahirap ba maghanap ng job as IT sa Melbourne? And usually gano katagal po?

2.how much po ang need na pocket money? Kasi po 26 years old lang ako and single so wala pa masyado savings napunta lahat sa migration.

San po ang mura na suburb sa melbourne na okay pa rin ang commute? Di naman po choosy pero okay lang to share. Kahit room for rent lang.
Saan po pwedeng sites maghanap ng rent? yung kapwa pinoy po sana ang gusto kong kashare para hindi masyado nakakahomesick since magisa lang po ako magBBM.

Mostly hearsay lng ngayyari dto. I was in EU lastime nag work nag initial entry wlaang tax. Then jus BM here last month in Brisbane. I our consult company lawyer. Kaya confident ako walangvtax. I have friends Ausi Citi. NASA Russiahe never declare na me work sia din Wala sia tax. This is a personal experience. Just an info. Don't dress ur self and ur family when moving or migrating. It more stressful na pag dto ka na llaot if u don't have work and finding things.. but all has god plans.goodluck sa BM

na excite lang ako kasi timing ang lahat ni Lord. buntis si mrs. kasi plano namin iwan muna cya dito sa uae. ngayon na buntis sya, granted sya ng 1 year leave sa company nya. so sobrang sayo ko na makasama ko sya at soon to be baby namin. tapos, nag offer pa pinsan ko na sa kanila muna kami mag stay until i get a job. fair enough! doon muna kami para kahit papano maka save ng konti.

yung nakaka takot lang ngayon is yung corona! lol

nasa dubai din ako and im excited na rin lol haha kahit kaka lodge ko pa lang ng EOI.. 75 points lang kasi ako sa 189 kasi proficient lang PTE ko kaya try ko exam ulit for superior. nakaka inspired ung mga stories God bless us all.
