Hello!

Question po.. just wanted to ask when can you start gathering documents (what are the documents you can gather at the earliest?) for lodging citizenship ?
For example, you are qualified to lodge March 10, 2021. Do you start gathering documents and filling in the application in ImmiAccount as early as a year prior ? Or six months prior?

I started gathering documents 3 months prior to lodgement, specially yung Form 1195, identity declaration, may list lang kasi na pwedeng pumirma nun. Yung actual application sa immi will not allow you to proceed until na meet mo na yung residency requirement;

Hi guys! Sorry bago po ako sa thread na to. May question lang ako. Nag exam ako for citizenship last week after 6 months of waiting for an interview. Hanggang ngayon ‘received’ pa din sya sa immi account. Pansin ko halos lahat same day approval pero sakin 1 week na wala pa rin. Meron po ba nasa similar situation? Hindi rin ako hiningan ng police clearance nun case officer ko sa interview. So I don’t know ano pa kaya kulang.
Nakakastress na kasi maghintay hehe,

Should i create a new immiaccount for my citizenship application?

Granted po ako ng PR Visa 189 as fiancee-dependent wherein yung partner ko yung primary applicant. Pareho po kaming engineer with EA and combined application po kami para mapataas yung points for PR grant. Pwede na po kami mag-apply ng citizenship eo last year pero nagbreak kami recently and lost communication.

Any advice po paano ko iproceed yung citizenship application ko? TIA

kelan ka ba eligible?

first check mo sa vevo na PR ka pa din tlga, afaik, pwede i-cancel un ng primaryapp by requesting immig.

if yes, PR ka pa, apply ka na citizenship with new immiaccount asap.

Hi, yung time taken for approval can vary from minutes, to days, to months and yung iba waited for a year. All applicants are subjected to security checks after test. You'll get your approval once your Integrity Screening and Biometrics Match checks are complete.

When we did our interview last Jan, yung case officer na naginterview sakin asked for additional documents for my kids (Consent from the biological father of my kids which we no longer have contact). She said that they'll the request via email but we didn't get any email. We got our approval an hour after my interview. So if the department needs more information, they will send you an email asking you to scan and upload the requested document sa immi application mo.

I don't think so. Testing and Ceremony lang ang affected by applicant's location. If nag pass ka na sa wait time and wala ka pa ding approval, you can submit an FOI to see yung case notes ng application mo. That way you'll know san tumagal.

invite came 6 weeks after approval. Pero merong same council sakin, approved last Nov 2019, still waiting for ceremony invite. Difference lang namin, ako may dependent kids included sa application sya wala.

Yes. Safety first. Yung unang email nila, telling us not to bring guest and any dependent children included in the application are not required to take oat. Even the ceremony in our council(holds 50 conferees ) for March and April have been cancelled. Stay safe everyone

Pls direct me to the right group if this question is not relevant in this group.
We have applied and granted oir PR 4 years ago. In the application, i wrote my name the same as what it is written in my passport (surname, first name, middle name or panggitnang apilyedo). When we arrived in Australia i learned that middle name here refered as the second name. So my maiden name became my second name here in Aussie. In few months we are going to apply for citizenship and i am unsure as to how to revise or correct my name without paying or going to any court for amendment. Pls help! Thank u.

Same kung pano mo ginawa sa PR application mo. Kasi on your test/interview day, they will check your passport and other docs na dapat match lahat and that includes your middle name. So for me medyo nagulo pa nga kasi nay JR ako sa name... you will be asked to provide three docs na may first middle last name mo... tas si officer sasabihin niya we will use this kasi eto yung nasa passposrt and supporting docs mo.

Happy for others to confirm this kung tama or mali...
