Hi Aiwink, okay i'll go with vetaasses para sigurado. Nung inapply nyo ba sa vetaasses ay arch'l draftperson at hindi as architect? Hindi kasi ako sigurado pa tulong naman po. Ngayon lang ulit ako nakareply sa forum na eto. Thank you.

I dont have idea about sa Architect assessment but its the best move to arch'l draftperson because di ka agad magiging design architect dito kasi may sariling design standard ang australia.

Pag dating mo rin dito is like your in entry level because most employer look for local experience especially sa ganitong profession even sa Design Engineer kahit 20 years pa na designer sa atin o sa ibang bansa unless if your working in Australian Firm abroad may chance pa yun maging designer agad.

Anyway kung mag apply ka makikita naman sa resume mo na may work experience ka sa design and drafting. Then tuloy tuloy naman yun madali naman matuto lalo kung nag dedesign ka naman dati. Staka nasa employer naman yan kung nakita nila na may potential ka they will support you at baka nga saglit lang maging deisgner ka agad at even sa studies mo kung plano mo mag aral baka suportahan ka nila. Tyempuhan din kung makakita ka ng magandang company. Basta tyaga sa una makapag one or two years ka lang na local experience dito next time madami na tatawag sayo for best employment offer. Importante kabisado mo ang standard design dito.

Robbie, anong software ang required na madalas gamitin dun? Revit ba kadalasan ang gamit na doon?

Hi Dukee,

yah almost REVIT un software nila....alam kolng autocad and microstation.
daming work s drafter,designer....me mga sumasagot nman kramihan, i need dw a visa to work...ayaw nila mg-ayos ng work visa...but still praying me isang company kukuha skin at ayusin nila work permit ko.

at isa nmin option,mgstudy ang hubby ko..dependant ako,i can work fulltime as dependent visa....intay nlng nmin student visa, we want to live tlga dun.

down load nyo un form...SRG1,time consume din s pg-fill up ng form 32pages,pwede rin dw mg-attach ng resume kung mdming experience. s ibang forum nbsa ko ms mtgal ang pg-iintay ng s result s VETASSES,halos lhat kc ng work position andun.

pwede k rin mgpa-assess s AACA (australia architect council accreditation). fee AUD 1300.

now basa k mo n kc July 2012 ngbago n nman sila,introduce nila un SKILLSELECT.

un old rules, assess with points system un with IELTS,skill, age,work experience,partner's skill and other additional points for 120points can apply for Independent Visa subclass 175.

Hello po, tanong ko lang, meron na ba naka-experience, or may nabalitaan na po ba kayo na nag-apply for assessment as Architectural Draftsman sa Vetassess na hindi pa nagte-take ng board exam? Graduate lang po ng Architecture at my 3 years work experience bilang Draftsman. Ano po kaya ang chances?

hello everyone, thanks for the very useful information. I am currently working as an Architect ditto sa UAE for 5 years now and and nakasulat sa duties and responsibilities and designation as well sa COE is architect. i read nag kasi na mahirap makakuha ng positive response from vetasses, so i will go for vetasses. ask ko lang if vetasses would accept that as my coe kahit na and inaapplyan ko for assessment is architectural draftsman? thanks.

Actually, as Architect, pag nagpaasses kayo sa AACA, mas malabo. we even called AACA tapos they are very blunt that they only asses the educational background if it is same as standard as the australia. then they said told me the list is in their website. if its not there, the chances is really small. they dont assess employment background. apparently, walang unibersidad sa pinas ang pumasa.

sa vetasses, its okey na hindi licensed as yung employment history ang binabasehan dun.

Mas may chance kayo sa Vetasses as may mga friends ako na gusto talaga architect ang skill, ayun, nasayang ang pera nila.

@nylram_1981 hello po. We have the same case as your husband. Arki grad din husband ko but he is working as a mechanical draftsman for more than 10 years now. Sabi nila pag daw engineering draftsman dapat sa EA paasses. Kaso since arki grad nga sya, doubtful kami magpassess sa EA. besides that, parang madugo magprepare ng CDR for an arki grad.

Ask ko lang what did you do for your husband's skills assessment sa vet assess? Tinatanggap ba nila and engineering draftsman for assessment? Please help. thanks.

yup sa vetassess kami nagpa-assess, kasi nosebleed ako sa paggawa ng CDR! hehe
uu positive naman cya sa vetassess. pinasa namin is statutory declaration kasi ayaw magbigay ng company nya ng certificate of employment with detailed duties and responsibilities. tapos in-attach na lng namin sa stat dec ung payslips, ITR (income tax returns), employment contract, training certificates bearing company letterhead and reference letter from one of his co-worker na mas mataas ang position sa kanya. no questions asked naman, positive ang assessment sa kanya.

un palang employment contract ni husband merong very generic duties and responsibilities na nakasulat dun na swak naman sa civil engr draftsman

@jvframos hi, may i know kung nag hire ba kau ng migration agent and if ever, anu ung name ng company na un or website? andito din kasi ako sa UAE, and same situation din sa inyu na ung mga documents ko sa contract, COE is designated as Architect... I plan to start na kasi this October. thanks..

Actually, you have the choice to either do-it-yourself or hire an agent. Sa case ko, nag hire ako ng service ng agent. highly recommended sya ng mga tags forum. actually this batch lang 4 yata kami na client nya and kasama na si tontoronski at K_mavs sa mga visa granted clients nya.Her name is Angelica "Gigi" O' Sullivan. She's a registered MARA agent, pinay sya na nakabased na sa OZ. Nameet ko say thru this forum. The beauty of dealing with her is and baba ng fee nya as is kasi eh part-time lang nya young paging migration agent. Government employee kasi sya sa OZ.

If you are interested, you can send her your CV para maassess nya. Its free naman, pay nag agree ka lang sa terms nya then that's the time you will enter into contract with her. May terms din and payment sa kanya kaya di mabigat sa bulsa. Her email is [email protected]. Sa email lang kami nagcocommunicate :-)

@whil, sis dubai based kami. work ako sa hyder consulting. last year na assign ako sa abu dhabi site namin sa eastern mangroves.

go mo na yan sis, ang daming changes sa disc every year kaya wag na idelay. try to contact na Gigi, mention mo na lang sa kenya. and baba ng fee nya kaya magaan sa bulsa. First she will ask for your CV. If you would not mind, ago and age bracket mo? school where you graduated and if you are licensed. We are on the same field kaya I can share some of my experiences. Siguro magkakaiba lang tayo in terms of age :-)

... oo decided na din talaga ako sis, hopefully maka start na this october.. last month pa kmi naghahanap-hanap ng agent with my friend, sis din sya, at sa arabtech sya nag wo work... di kami maka decide - decide ng friend ko, kasi kino compare namin at, naaalangan din kmi sa agents dito sa uae kasi baka hindi fit sa filipino applicants ung mga advise nila. at sa pinas naka pag inquire din kmi, pero un nakausap ko na isa kahapon, dapat daw sa COE isulat talaga na Architectural Draftsman kaya un ung napaisip ako kasi baka di pumayag ung company ko na gawin draftsman ung COE kasi Architect ung designation talaga eh. tsaka sa employment contracts at other ID, architect din nakasulat, plus ang laki ng fees kahit downpayment palang, pero ok lng sana basta cgurado lng diba.. --buti at nakakuha kmi info dito at sa u na na approve ka kahit hindi binago un nakasulat sa designation mo.

@whil, naku sis ganyan din ako dati ng nagsisimula pa lang ako. ang dami ko ng napagtanungan na agents dito sa dubai. yung global visa tawag agad sakin at hinihingi na credit card number ko. so gulat ako kasi wala pa nga silang hawak ng docs ko not even a cv pero naniningil na sila. So i doubted them, parang may mali. so I researched about them at ang dami palang complaints sa kanila. So I searched another agent and same case.... until na meet ko si Gigi. So she helped me along the way kahit wala pang bayed in entertain nya lahat ng questions ko. Ayun sake kami nagpirmahan ng contract and there you go.... ego naghihintay na lang kami ng visa grant decision. natapos na naming young hardest hurdles..

pero sis, nagbago ako ng designation. Hindi architect yung ininominate kong occupation. As advised here in this forum, mahirap magpaassess sa architects australia kasi hindi equivalent ang architecture sa Phils sa Oz... kaya walang pumapasang pinoy na architects sa assessment nila besides the fact na ang mahal ng skills assessment fee nila at walang assurance kung papasa ka.

So what I did, I asked our HR to change my designation from architect to architectural draftsman. paiyakan syempre until sa kinausap ko na young director namin.... ok naman sa kenya kaya he helped me. Ayun, sa wakes pumayag din naman sila. iPM ko na lang sayo kung pano ko ginawa yung iba hehehehe. What is important is maconvince mo and company nyo.

@jvframos oo nga sis eh, ung ibang agent, nagpapabayad na agad ng downpayment kahit di pa nasasabi sa akin na dapat pala na COE draftsman talaga ang nakasulat.. kaya nga nakakaduda din talaga lalo na hindi lng maliit na halaga un dp. panu pag nagbigay ako ng bayad tapos di pala magbigay ang employer ko ng COE na kailangan, ang laki ng masasayang di ba.
sis, nag reply na nga pala c gigi sa email ko.. un nga din ung sabi nya, na pinilit mo talaga palit ng designation.. naku sana ma convince ko hr namin na baguhin nya designation ko sa COE... anyway sis, pm mo nalng sa akin kung anu pa mga maibibigay mo na infos ha..

thanks talaga.. great help na to sa amin at least nalaman namin sa umpisa palng kung anu dapat gawin..

@jvframos sis, tatanung ko na din, pag makakahingi ba ako ng COE na draftsman, tapos, na aaprove ng Vetasses, tapos pu proceed na sa DIAC, di ba makaka apekto na makikita ng DIAC na ung Employment/Residence Visa ko sa passport nakasulat na Architect?

@whil, after ng skills assessment, during lodging of visa hindi naman nirerequire yung visa nation ditto. passport bio data page lang. di din ako nag submit ng contract kasi conflict yun
