Hi!
I’m working in advertising here sa Pinas and now exploring paano maka-permanently reside sa AU. Currently, iniisip ko mag apply ng visa via points system sa visa 189 (tinignan ko yung prospective points ko, papasok sa 70 to 80 at least), or go the route kung saan mag-apply ako online (seek, linkedin, glassdoor, etc.). I’m currently weighing my options. Alin ba dito ang mas feasible way to migrate? Also, mag-32 years old pa lang ako this November.
Also, for months I’ve just been researching alone kung paano maka-migrate. Ngayon ko lang nalaman na may ganitong forum pala — hulog ng langit!
Salamat sa magrerespond.

Hi. Just getting back from a short hiatus from this site. Lost hope about AU.
Anyway, for those who also lost hope about the prospect of invitation from AU, have you considered other countries to immigrate to? Popular alternatives are Canada and NZ but right now, they are challenging to achieve as well especially if we are outside the priority occupations.
I'd like to introduce you to the Republic of Ireland. Right now they also have Critical Skills Occupation system which is currently more diverse than the priority occupations of AU. That is, not only health care workers are being considered.
I just got an offer from an Irish employer with luck and lots of effort of submitting (spamming? lol) CVs. My occupation (not health care related) is in the critical occupations list and I got my work permit approved with the sponsorship of an employer. I am currently in the visa process.
I'm sharing this because I think Ireland is not well known as a consideration for immigration but they do have a system that encourages it. Critical Skills Work Permit is a path to permanent residency (not exactly but the equivalent) for only 2 years in Ireland plus 5 years for naturalisation. Irish passport will allow you to live in any EU member states. Although Ireland is a bit behind AU, NZ, and Canada government system.

Hi. Yes po need ng employer to sponsor you. Honestly di ko na maalala exact website pero Glassdoor ata.
Meron silang FOI list ng companies na actively sponsoring overseas candidates so you may want to start there so you'll know kung anong company may chance to sponsor.

Bro, did you pay anything or the company will pay for the visa processing since it was sponsored?

Just to note, magkaiba yung work permit and visa. So for work permit, the company applied on my behalf and paid for it, around 1k Euro (~58,000php) ata rin un. But the visa itself (this is after the work permit is granted), i applied and paid for it which is 12k Yen (~6,000php) sa Japan. I'm sure mas mura sa Pinas kung sa Pinas ka mag aapply.

Cool, atleast there is a assurance an merong job talaga kasi nagbayad na sila ng work permit mo. for the visa if its just 6K PHP, that should be ok.
So online application ka lang bro noh? try din ako maghanap as alternative.... wala pa kasi balita sa AU.... hayysss.... T_T

Yes online lang. The work permit (either csep or regular employment permit) is direct path to naturalisation, 5 years continuous residency on that permit and you can apply for citizenship. Research mo na lang may ilang occupations ata na hindi eligible for any employment permit, so that would be a dead end.

Australian CV format varies depending on the occupation/role you're applying for, as well as your background. If you've got solid work experience in the occupation you're applying for, then you would want to highlight your professional work experience and include only the most relevant details to the job you're applying for. Don't include details that can be grounds for discrimination (age, birthday, marital status, religion), but you definitely can include work rights (especially if you are a permanent resident). I can see on your profile that your 189 visa has been granted, so that's an advantage for you. Many employers will not consider offshore applications if you are not an Australian citizen or PR. You can explain in your cover letter that you are moving to Australia in the next few months.
CV is the most basic summary of your experience, but the cover letter is what will set you apart when applying, because you can elaborate on why you would be a good fit for the role given your background. And don't forget to tailor your CV and cover letter for each and every employer. Yes, it's a lot of work but many hiring managers/HR can appreciate well-tailored documents, which shows your effort and determination to score an interview.
