Hi, when you say working visa, do you mean company sponsored? technically to get unlimited work and live rights in AU, you have to apply for PR visa. the first step is to check the list of skilled occupation where you can apply for poins-tested stream https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/working-in-australia/skill-occupation-list

Good day! New member here. :)

My friend is currently working in the Philippines as Product Development/Marketing Manager in one of the financial institutions for almost 6 years now. Her aunt is a PR in AU. Interested in applying for a Skilled Worker Visa in NSW.

When we checked, closest po sa job description niya are Marketing Specialist (225113) or Sales and Marketing Manager (131112) in the ANZSCO list.

Ano po ma advise niyo na pwedeng applyan ng friend ko na Visa? Options there are 190, 407, 489, 482, 187, 494, 491. Pwede lang po mag apply sa LinkedIn? or pwede po gawin sponsor Aunt niya? Thank you in advance! :)

If your aunt is willing to sponsor your friend, pwede yun. You can check his/her/their options here: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/bringing-someone/bringing-partner-or-family. This is the visa finder page as well: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-finder/join-family.

As for visa options, it really depends on your goals. Does your friend intend on pursuing training? Will he/she/they be sponsored by an employer? Try to research what each visa/subclass type implies in terms of your rights in Australia—each one serves its own purpose. For instance, 407 is a training visa, whereas 190 is a nominated skilled PR visa.

I personally don't know the prospects of getting employer sponsorship for your friend's occupation, but it may be difficult to come by. Not impossible, but difficult. So I advise that you read up on each visa type, identify your goals, and plan from there.

Thank you very much for your feedback, @era222 . :) I might opt for training / student visa given this.

Hope naging helpful yung comment ko! For student visa, this thread is a really good resource: https://pinoyau.info/discussion/592/student-visa-step-by-step#latest. Kung hindi naman, search ka lang dito sa forum ng "student visa" and things would come up. Hehe. Good luck! :)
