Hi Guys

Me & hubby have recently been approved with AU PR. Right now even in SG, I have started applying for hubby trying to land him a job (just in case). With respect to salary expectation, what's your minimum base salary expectation to live comfortably in AU?

Thanks sa mga magrereply.

How much kaya matitira sa monthly salary minus all the taxes and expenses na? May site (i forgot the url) akong tiningnan sa average annual salary ng analyst programmer. Nasa 70-80K gross. Divided by 12 months, so nasa 6K monthly. Sa isang single person, magkano kaya matitira sa monthly salary pag iddeduct na lahat ng taxes ang expenses. Could you give atleast a ballpark figure so we could atleast have a better idea. Thanks. :)

re: salary expectation... don't expect too much pag wala pang local experience... pumayag muna sa maliit then pag may experience na.. sample after a year.. tsaka kayo bumawi at maghanap ng mas mataas...

parang bida sa pelikula... pabugbog muna sa umpisa tapos babangon at babawi sa huli...

ganon lng yun kasi ikaw ang bida sa journey mo sa au hehehe...

    cheers :)

Tax rate query - refer to link http://www.ato.gov.au/content/12333.htm
Para simple calculation whatever your gross multiply sa 70% para sa after tax income

On gastos, depende kung saang state ka (fare & rent) & food na type mo (& if magbabaon ka or lunch out lagi - $10-$20/meal) & level ng insurance na gusto mo. ballpark rent is $300-$600/week palaki habang palapit sa city proper. Mura ang food as percentage of salary. Kami mag-asawa $400/month ang budget namin for food & groceries combined.

If $80k expected salary mo, very comfortable buhay and madali makaipon kung hindi naman magarbo ang lifestyle & wala obligasyon sa pinas. To put things in perspective, ang minimum salary is $13/hr & mabubuhay na ng maayos with that wage.

I agree with @icebreaker1928 ...for first time migrants with little to no local work experience, the better question to ask is how much should I earn to meet our living expenses.

Pag naka ilang taon na kayo sa Australia, then that would be the time for you to hunt for the best packages in your respective industries :)

@batangbunyi Says here it's minimum of $16 per hour for employees. Lower for apprentices and juniors. http://www.fairwork.gov.au/pay/national-minimum-wage/pages/default.aspx

My uncle in Sydney advised me to set a date until I start looking for jobs interstate. Pero kung wala talagang suitable sa position ko baka patusin ko na yung part-time sa mga retail clothing stores nearby magkaroon lang ng flow of income. Gusto ko talaga dito sa Melbourne.

Ang naalala ko naman last year para sa mga non-IT migrants dapat at least $49,330 ang annual salary....which is more than enough to pay for eveything kung single ka hehe

so nag compute compute ako based sa magiging "tipid mode" lifestyle ko if ever palarin ako makarating sa OZ. :) ang monthly expense ko is 1,700. dko sure kung accurate to heheh, kasama po dito ang ipapadala ko sa family ko sa Pinas. i'm single but i'm the breadwinner. kaya kahit medyo ok na salary ko sa Pinas sa isang single person, i still want to earn more because there are people who are dependent on me.

anyway, ang question ko po, how much dapat ang monthly salary na acceptable given this budget or possible na ibigay ng company sa isang new migrant na walang local experience? pano ba usually ang salary negotiation sa OZ. dito kase sa Pinas, monthly salary ang usapan. during salary negotiation, may idea nako how much ang acceptable sakin given my work experience and the company status as well. may mga idea kami kung alin ang mga companies na mataas magbigay ng salary. thanks. :)

Search mo mga salary guide ng mga headhunters - it will give you an idea of how much a staff from your skilled occupatio. Chances are though, we will not be getting as much for the meantime as we don't have the Australian experience yet... :)

Deyns pafs!! First few months lang yan and as per experience, lalaki talaga expense eventually...

For one, ang accommodation, it will easily double when we decide to move on our own flat. But yes, as much as possible, ipon lang ng ipon para hopefully makabili ng sarili some years down the road...

@psychoboy onga hehe expected na tataas expenses, but you can be creative with your 'revenue' side as well by taking part time jobs or making your money work by investing it in high yielding instruments hehe :D

    @psychoboy
Hmmm.. yun rent parang mababa, lalabas around A$140 / week. Yun grocery din medyo mababa, kami family of 3 around A$150-200 / week grocery. Nun ako pa lang mag-isa around A$100+ na per week. Yun transpo naman medyo mahal, ako 4 na sakay papunta work, pabalik ganun din. Combination ng bus and trains.. A$52 / week so around A$208 / month. Electricity naman, pwede na if matipid and hindi masyado nag h-heater and aircon. Kami kasi around A$400 / quarter. Anu sa tingin nyo boss?
