This is just to make sure na continuous pagsasalita ko and di ko mamissed out mga words sa template during the actual exam.

@Unsullied_06 pwede po kaya yung part after ng introduction, yung 2 minutes lead time prior start of speaking? or wala po ba yung ganun sa actual exam? sa ApeUni mock-up po kasi may mga 2mins pauses in between subtests.

Also, I've got less than 2 weeks na lang po bago ang exam ko, overall grade on mock-up na nakukuha ko right now sa ApeUni is 75.

Thank you. Kinakabahan po kasi ako dahil di nagrereach ng superior yung ibang components during mock-up ko sa ApeUni.

Silent lurker here. Would like to share my experience sa PTE.
Halos 1 week lang preparation ko, sobrang swerte ko nabasa ko tong thread na to week/days before the exam kaya would like to give back by sharing my experience and giving pointers.

Specifically yung post ni @chemistmom talaga yung nagbigay sakin ng confidence sa test.
Halos yun lang rin ginamit kong mga tips kaya parang repeat lang to ng sinabi niya pero post ko na rin para makapagbigay confidence sa ibang magtetake ng exam.

    1. Equipment Check - before the start of the exam, make sure gumagana at kumportable ka sa equipment. Adjust yung headset, di ako sanay sa headset na mabigat pero no choice haha. Yung mic, tinest ko several times, nahihinaan ako sa playback sound pero yun lang ginamit ko, kaya naman marecognize ni A.I.

    2. Read Aloud - may about 40 seconds ka yata to study the passage before actual recording, check pano magiging flow ng sentences, look out for hard to pronounce words. During these 40 seconds time rin, sinusulat ko na paunti-unti rin yung template ni JimmySem for Describe Image and Retell Lecture sa erasable notepad para tuloy-tuloy mamaya.

    3. Repeat Sentence - The most important part of the exam according to many sources. Pinakaimportante dito wag ka ma-uutal, wag ka magsstop. Kapag may di ka naintindihan, palitan mo lang ng "something" para tuloy-tuloy pa rin pag repeat mo ng sentence. Remember, 3pts max lang ang content at 5pts max anf fluency. Mas mahalaga ang fluency.

    4. Describe Image - JimmySem template. "The given image is about blah blah blah". Gumagana siya. I think pinakachallenge dito yung maco-conscious ka kasi maririnig ng mga katabi mo na inuulit m lang yung template. Halos lima or anim na beses ko yata inulit yung template for both Describe Image and Retell Lecture.

    5. Retell Lecture - as above.

    6. Answer Short Question - More on vocabulary ang matetest dito. Mag-guess ka kahit hindi mo alam yung sagot.

    7. Summarize Written Text - Ginamit ko yung "albeit but therefore" template pero nung sa exam isang buong paragraph lang yung lumitaw na question sakin.

    8. Essay - Ginamit ko yung template ni Jay instead of memorizing isang buong essay kasi wala na akong time to memorize. Sanay naman ako magsulat from responding to office emails. Make sure to use the remaining time to doublecheck your sentence structures, grammar and spelling.

    9. Reading & Writing Fill in the Blanks - Don't overthink. Yung mukhang tamang sagot, yun na yun. Be familiar with collocations and yung mga madalas magamit na phrases.

    10. Multiple Choice Multiple Answer - Makikita naman sa given text yung mga sagot. I answered multiple choices kasi confident ako sa sagot ko.

    11. Re-order Paragraphs - Maganda yung tips ni Jay dito. Independent sentence then hanap ka ng kasunod na sentence na somehow nirereference yung first sentence and so on and so forth. Dalawang questions nakuha ko dito, mahirap yung pangalawa hinulaan ko na lang haha. After re-ordering, read the whole paragraph kung tunog tama.

    12. Fill in the blanks - Same tip as Reading & Writing Fill in the Blanks.

    13. Multiple Choice Single Answer - Again, makikita sa paragraph yung sagot. Mas madali to kasi isa lang sasagot mo.

    14. Summarize Spoken Text - I used one page sa notepad per question. Just scribble away habang nagsasalita yung speaker. I used the common template "The speaker was discussing about.... He then mentioned... He pointed out that .... Finally, he concluded that..." or any variation niyan.

    15. Multiple Choice, Multiple Answers - Take notes uli habang nagsasalita yung speaker. That way may mababalikan ka. Still, kailangan mo maintindihan yung overall na sinasabi nung spekaer not just the keywords kasi more on yun yung itatanong dito.

    16. Fill in the Blanks - Used "TAB" key to hop between blanks para concentrated ka sa pakikinig. Type as soon as marinig mo yung correct word. Anticipate words based on the context of the sentences.

    17. Highlight correct summary - You can use process of deduction to eliminate some choices. Notes pa rin and understanding the overall concept of the paragraph ang key dito.

    18. Multiple Choice, Single Answer - dito ako nahirapan kasi magkakaparehas halos yung mga choices. Same advice lang sa MCMA.

    19. Select Missing Word - Pure focus sa pakikinig dapat from start to end para may idea ka sa sinasabi ng speaker. Check rin yung timer kung malapit na magend yung nagsasalita. 2 questions yata nakuha ko dito. Dapat naiintindihan mo yung pinapakinggan mo para maconnect mo with the missing word. (Hinulaan ko lang yung isang sagot ko dito)

    20. Highlight Incorrect Words - Eto yata pinakamadali na section sa PTE. Click mo lang yung incorrect word habang naririnig mo.

    21. Write from Dictation - Type as you listen. Remember to capitalise first word and end with a period. Pag hindi sure sa pluralization, type both words. Hindi rin masama magdagdag ng "the" "on" "in" before words kung hindi ka sure na narinig mo o hindi.

    Ayun lang hehe.
    I hope nakatulong to. :D

Hi po, congrats on getting high scores in all bands! Ask ko lang po kung ano po ang ginamit ninyong reviewer app?

Silent lurker here. Would like to share my experience sa PTE.
Halos 1 week lang preparation ko, sobrang swerte ko nabasa ko tong thread na to week/days before the exam kaya would like to give back by sharing my experience and giving pointers.

Specifically yung post ni @chemistmom talaga yung nagbigay sakin ng confidence sa test.
Halos yun lang rin ginamit kong mga tips kaya parang repeat lang to ng sinabi niya pero post ko na rin para makapagbigay confidence sa ibang magtetake ng exam.

    1. Equipment Check - before the start of the exam, make sure gumagana at kumportable ka sa equipment. Adjust yung headset, di ako sanay sa headset na mabigat pero no choice haha. Yung mic, tinest ko several times, nahihinaan ako sa playback sound pero yun lang ginamit ko, kaya naman marecognize ni A.I.

    2. Read Aloud - may about 40 seconds ka yata to study the passage before actual recording, check pano magiging flow ng sentences, look out for hard to pronounce words. During these 40 seconds time rin, sinusulat ko na paunti-unti rin yung template ni JimmySem for Describe Image and Retell Lecture sa erasable notepad para tuloy-tuloy mamaya.

    3. Repeat Sentence - The most important part of the exam according to many sources. Pinakaimportante dito wag ka ma-uutal, wag ka magsstop. Kapag may di ka naintindihan, palitan mo lang ng "something" para tuloy-tuloy pa rin pag repeat mo ng sentence. Remember, 3pts max lang ang content at 5pts max anf fluency. Mas mahalaga ang fluency.

    4. Describe Image - JimmySem template. "The given image is about blah blah blah". Gumagana siya. I think pinakachallenge dito yung maco-conscious ka kasi maririnig ng mga katabi mo na inuulit m lang yung template. Halos lima or anim na beses ko yata inulit yung template for both Describe Image and Retell Lecture.

    5. Retell Lecture - as above.

    6. Answer Short Question - More on vocabulary ang matetest dito. Mag-guess ka kahit hindi mo alam yung sagot.

    7. Summarize Written Text - Ginamit ko yung "albeit but therefore" template pero nung sa exam isang buong paragraph lang yung lumitaw na question sakin.

    8. Essay - Ginamit ko yung template ni Jay instead of memorizing isang buong essay kasi wala na akong time to memorize. Sanay naman ako magsulat from responding to office emails. Make sure to use the remaining time to doublecheck your sentence structures, grammar and spelling.

    9. Reading & Writing Fill in the Blanks - Don't overthink. Yung mukhang tamang sagot, yun na yun. Be familiar with collocations and yung mga madalas magamit na phrases.

    10. Multiple Choice Multiple Answer - Makikita naman sa given text yung mga sagot. I answered multiple choices kasi confident ako sa sagot ko.

    11. Re-order Paragraphs - Maganda yung tips ni Jay dito. Independent sentence then hanap ka ng kasunod na sentence na somehow nirereference yung first sentence and so on and so forth. Dalawang questions nakuha ko dito, mahirap yung pangalawa hinulaan ko na lang haha. After re-ordering, read the whole paragraph kung tunog tama.

    12. Fill in the blanks - Same tip as Reading & Writing Fill in the Blanks.

    13. Multiple Choice Single Answer - Again, makikita sa paragraph yung sagot. Mas madali to kasi isa lang sasagot mo.

    14. Summarize Spoken Text - I used one page sa notepad per question. Just scribble away habang nagsasalita yung speaker. I used the common template "The speaker was discussing about.... He then mentioned... He pointed out that .... Finally, he concluded that..." or any variation niyan.

    15. Multiple Choice, Multiple Answers - Take notes uli habang nagsasalita yung speaker. That way may mababalikan ka. Still, kailangan mo maintindihan yung overall na sinasabi nung spekaer not just the keywords kasi more on yun yung itatanong dito.

    16. Fill in the Blanks - Used "TAB" key to hop between blanks para concentrated ka sa pakikinig. Type as soon as marinig mo yung correct word. Anticipate words based on the context of the sentences.

    17. Highlight correct summary - You can use process of deduction to eliminate some choices. Notes pa rin and understanding the overall concept of the paragraph ang key dito.

    18. Multiple Choice, Single Answer - dito ako nahirapan kasi magkakaparehas halos yung mga choices. Same advice lang sa MCMA.

    19. Select Missing Word - Pure focus sa pakikinig dapat from start to end para may idea ka sa sinasabi ng speaker. Check rin yung timer kung malapit na magend yung nagsasalita. 2 questions yata nakuha ko dito. Dapat naiintindihan mo yung pinapakinggan mo para maconnect mo with the missing word. (Hinulaan ko lang yung isang sagot ko dito)

    20. Highlight Incorrect Words - Eto yata pinakamadali na section sa PTE. Click mo lang yung incorrect word habang naririnig mo.

    21. Write from Dictation - Type as you listen. Remember to capitalise first word and end with a period. Pag hindi sure sa pluralization, type both words. Hindi rin masama magdagdag ng "the" "on" "in" before words kung hindi ka sure na narinig mo o hindi.

    Ayun lang hehe.

Yes po, ganyan din ako dati kaya practice lang po and learn to manage your time. Least priority po talaga ang multiple choices. Do skimming and scanning lang po to get the thought of the passage and question.

Know every task, parang CE board exam lang. From 63 score last 2020, 73 score ko na this April 2022. Nagpapasaamat po ako sa mga nagpopost din po dito sa Pinoy Au sa mga tips and tricks.

Tips and tricks for each task:

    1. Repeat Sentence (Important) - 10 items approx. Para sakin effective sakin yung at the first half ng sentence, sinusulat ko siya in few letters, then yung last half, minememorise ko siya. Bago mag prompt. Yung minemorise ko binibigkas ko ng 2 beses tapos tingin sa prompter kung magsisimula na ako magsalita tska ko sasabihin yung nakasulat na 1st half at maaalala ko yung secknd half. Medyo mahirap siya pero need lang practice. May mga words din akong mga di nasabi. The more words na maaalala mo the more chances of winning. 😅 Ang gaming at paramihan ng words na mabibigkas. Kapag may di ka matandaan na words sa gitna try to say 'something' para tuloy2 parin ang rhythm at practicin na after mo mabigkas, in one sec, click mo agad yung next para din factor sa fluency. Ito pal yung link na sinunod ko.

    1. Describe Image - 4 items approx. Sinunod ko din yung template.
"The given image is about an interesting topic base on many different categories.

Firstly, we can see that the image can show major points which connect to our society, it is fair to say that it is important.

    Finally, KW1, KW2,....."

Ang tips ko lang habang may 30-35 sec remaining isulat ko na sa notepad. In few letters like "T giv img is abt an int top bsd on mny dif cat. 1, we c s img maj pnt wc con t soc, SIIF imp Fin,". Dapat mabilis ka magsulat sa unang item then tingin sa image kung anong pwede mong mabigkas sa image. Binasa ko na lang yung mga nakasulat. Ang mahirap kapag walang nakalagay na words. Kung konti lang nakalagay, medyo bagalabg ang pace nagpagsasalita. Practice makes permanence. Do it 20 times per day para mamemorise mo yung template. Ito pala yung link na sinunod kong template.

    1. Retell Lecture- same template with DI, papalitan mang yung image ngg lecture. Write as many words as you can then try to recite all the words after the lecture.
    2. Fill in the blank- Reading & Writing (Important) Di ako magaling dito ang tips lang talaga intindihin yung buong paragraph at pilitin yun choice na related sa paragraph. Nasa link na ito yung approach na ginaya ko. Sabi nila kung ano yung maganda rin pakinggan with is tama at halos madadaling words lang ang usually na tamang sagot.

    1. Fill in the blank- Reading. Bago piliin yung nasa pool intindihin muna ang buing paragraph. Then tska ka magdecide ng kung anong words ang gagamitin.
    2. Multiple choice multiple answers-Reading - Basahin muna ang tanong at mga sagot. Tapos look for the key words sa buong paragraph then dun magcheck kung anong tamang sagot. Yan ang pinaka mabisang paraan para makita agad ang tamang piliin. Wrong answer means -1 deduction points kaya kampanti na kang ako sa isa ko ng sagot para hindi ako maminusan.
    3. Multiple choice single answer-Reading- same thing with multiple choice multiple answers.

Example: decide decides play plays. Okay lang yun. Walang bawas yun. Ito pala yung link na pinanood ko. Panalo ito.

Set niu na magmock test every week para maaccess nio yung review niu. Then sa last 2 weeks, araw arawin niu magmock test.

During the exam, do not doubt yourself anymore. Tiwala sa nareview mo, whether ur not ready or ready. Be confidence lang sa pagsagot.

Best time aim high for higher grade. Aim for 80 or 90, para kung sakali man hindi mo maabot atleast mababalang doon at pasado. Dont just aim for 60 kasi may tendency na bumaba ang score mo kaya aim higher palagi. Practicin niu din syempre ang paggamit ng notepad. Ang notepad, bibigyan kau ng parang laminated na booklet size approx. 15x6 inch then bibigyan kau ng 2 white board marker. Sa mga pasmado ang kamay dyan katulad ko, medyo mahirap lang makapagsat dahil nababasa ang susulatan kaya, practicin niu din lalo na sa DI, RL. Dun lang naman niu magagamit yun eh.

Finally, Always pray kada magrereview. Its okay kung di mo namimeet yung need mong scores sa mga mock test, just keep going. One step at a time. If you have questions, you can make a comment here. Looking forward in answering your questions.

Sa wakas makakapag apply nadin ng SV  Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng nag bahagi ng tips and strategies dito.

Share ko lang din po ung naging experience ko sa actual PTE exam and some practical tips narin po.

    1. Dumating ng maaga. 12:00 pm ang schedule ko pero dumating ako ng 11:10 am dahil may registration and verification pa. Nakapag exam ako 11:30 am kaya mas maaga din ako natapos.

    2. Gumamit ng rest room bago pumila sa exam (may CR po sa loob ng test center).

    3. (VERY IMPORTANT) I-check ng mabuti yung headset and computer. Ung sa akin kasi hindi gumagana nung unang try ko, pinalitan nila pero hindi parin gumagana, ung pangatlong headset na ipinalit nila ayun gumana na.

    4. Mag practice sa medyo maingay na environment, dahil halos sabay sabay mag sasalita ung mga mag eexam sa first part (speaking), and may tendency na mailang or mawala kayo sa focus.

    5. Kabisaduhin ung format or ung mismong pag kakasunod sunod ng item types ng PTE exam.

Silent lurker here. Would like to share my experience sa PTE.
Halos 1 week lang preparation ko, sobrang swerte ko nabasa ko tong thread na to week/days before the exam kaya would like to give back by sharing my experience and giving pointers.

Specifically yung post ni @chemistmom talaga yung nagbigay sakin ng confidence sa test.
Halos yun lang rin ginamit kong mga tips kaya parang repeat lang to ng sinabi niya pero post ko na rin para makapagbigay confidence sa ibang magtetake ng exam.

    1. Equipment Check - before the start of the exam, make sure gumagana at kumportable ka sa equipment. Adjust yung headset, di ako sanay sa headset na mabigat pero no choice haha. Yung mic, tinest ko several times, nahihinaan ako sa playback sound pero yun lang ginamit ko, kaya naman marecognize ni A.I.

    2. Read Aloud - may about 40 seconds ka yata to study the passage before actual recording, check pano magiging flow ng sentences, look out for hard to pronounce words. During these 40 seconds time rin, sinusulat ko na paunti-unti rin yung template ni JimmySem for Describe Image and Retell Lecture sa erasable notepad para tuloy-tuloy mamaya.

    3. Repeat Sentence - The most important part of the exam according to many sources. Pinakaimportante dito wag ka ma-uutal, wag ka magsstop. Kapag may di ka naintindihan, palitan mo lang ng "something" para tuloy-tuloy pa rin pag repeat mo ng sentence. Remember, 3pts max lang ang content at 5pts max anf fluency. Mas mahalaga ang fluency.

    4. Describe Image - JimmySem template. "The given image is about blah blah blah". Gumagana siya. I think pinakachallenge dito yung maco-conscious ka kasi maririnig ng mga katabi mo na inuulit m lang yung template. Halos lima or anim na beses ko yata inulit yung template for both Describe Image and Retell Lecture.

    5. Retell Lecture - as above.

    6. Answer Short Question - More on vocabulary ang matetest dito. Mag-guess ka kahit hindi mo alam yung sagot.

    7. Summarize Written Text - Ginamit ko yung "albeit but therefore" template pero nung sa exam isang buong paragraph lang yung lumitaw na question sakin.

    8. Essay - Ginamit ko yung template ni Jay instead of memorizing isang buong essay kasi wala na akong time to memorize. Sanay naman ako magsulat from responding to office emails. Make sure to use the remaining time to doublecheck your sentence structures, grammar and spelling.

    9. Reading & Writing Fill in the Blanks - Don't overthink. Yung mukhang tamang sagot, yun na yun. Be familiar with collocations and yung mga madalas magamit na phrases.

    10. Multiple Choice Multiple Answer - Makikita naman sa given text yung mga sagot. I answered multiple choices kasi confident ako sa sagot ko.

    11. Re-order Paragraphs - Maganda yung tips ni Jay dito. Independent sentence then hanap ka ng kasunod na sentence na somehow nirereference yung first sentence and so on and so forth. Dalawang questions nakuha ko dito, mahirap yung pangalawa hinulaan ko na lang haha. After re-ordering, read the whole paragraph kung tunog tama.

    12. Fill in the blanks - Same tip as Reading & Writing Fill in the Blanks.

    13. Multiple Choice Single Answer - Again, makikita sa paragraph yung sagot. Mas madali to kasi isa lang sasagot mo.

    14. Summarize Spoken Text - I used one page sa notepad per question. Just scribble away habang nagsasalita yung speaker. I used the common template "The speaker was discussing about.... He then mentioned... He pointed out that .... Finally, he concluded that..." or any variation niyan.

    15. Multiple Choice, Multiple Answers - Take notes uli habang nagsasalita yung speaker. That way may mababalikan ka. Still, kailangan mo maintindihan yung overall na sinasabi nung spekaer not just the keywords kasi more on yun yung itatanong dito.

    16. Fill in the Blanks - Used "TAB" key to hop between blanks para concentrated ka sa pakikinig. Type as soon as marinig mo yung correct word. Anticipate words based on the context of the sentences.

    17. Highlight correct summary - You can use process of deduction to eliminate some choices. Notes pa rin and understanding the overall concept of the paragraph ang key dito.

    18. Multiple Choice, Single Answer - dito ako nahirapan kasi magkakaparehas halos yung mga choices. Same advice lang sa MCMA.

    19. Select Missing Word - Pure focus sa pakikinig dapat from start to end para may idea ka sa sinasabi ng speaker. Check rin yung timer kung malapit na magend yung nagsasalita. 2 questions yata nakuha ko dito. Dapat naiintindihan mo yung pinapakinggan mo para maconnect mo with the missing word. (Hinulaan ko lang yung isang sagot ko dito)

    20. Highlight Incorrect Words - Eto yata pinakamadali na section sa PTE. Click mo lang yung incorrect word habang naririnig mo.

    21. Write from Dictation - Type as you listen. Remember to capitalise first word and end with a period. Pag hindi sure sa pluralization, type both words. Hindi rin masama magdagdag ng "the" "on" "in" before words kung hindi ka sure na narinig mo o hindi.

    Ayun lang hehe.
    I hope nakatulong to. :D

about sa Describe image, nilampas mo ba ng 30 secs ung content mo. ?
