Base sa pagkakatanda ko po hindi rin pwede. Nagtake ako ng PTE last Mar 2022. Pero hintayin din po natin yung iba pang nagtake.

Hindi po pwede. Need po itype kung may kokopyahin po kayong part halimbawa sa SWT. Kaya dapat po double check maigi ng spelling.

Question lang po, has anyone tried using the Albeit, ...; but, ...; furthermore, .... SWT Template sa exam mismo? How was your grade in writing po? I tried it po sa APEUNI and I got straight 7s every time I use it there but I don't know if mataas makukuha sa PTE exam mismo. TIA

Hello! Sharing my PTE actual exam results yesterday.

And below is my last PTE ApeUni Mock Exam a day before my PTE actual exam.

I think ApeUni is stricter than PTEPearson in terms of scoring of Speaking. As based on the outcome of the actual PTEPearson exam, I still have a higher score even if I have a lot of mistakes made compared to ApeUni last mock test.

Here is the scoring table that I followed to identify which task has the most value so I would be able to focus on these items. I got this image from the internet.

I followed the tips from the following people here. Thank you so much!

My PTE Journey:
1) I started my review around March 16. I tried to understand PTE question types.
2) On my first week, I strategized and planned how I will review.
3) For the next 2 weeks, I collected different tips and tricks (from forums and YouTube videos) for different question types. Also, I prepared my practice materials (pen, eraser and laminated plain paper)
4) For the next 1 week, I had to take a break due to work commitments.
5) On April 14, I started officially to practice. I did buy ApeUni one-time subscription for 30days.
I practiced every 2 to 3 days focusing on difficult tasks. And from time to time I did some mock exams. My practice and mock exam took around 2 to 4hours. Also, this is when I practiced more of the question type that I am struggling to get a high score.
6) Last 7 days before exam, this is when I practiced and took mock exam for 2 to 4 hours everyday.
7) Finally, the exam day May 13, 2022. Before the exam, I prayed to God to give me clear mind and the score that I deserve.

Below are the tips that I was able to think of to add to the previous test takers tips:

1) If you will be taking your exam in Pearson Makati I suggest to practice using a separate keyboard, this applies to those who are using laptops. Also, I suggest to change the screen resolution of your monitor or laptop screen to 1024 x 768. This is because the monitor used in the exam center as I tried to replicate is somewhat similar to this.
At the beginning of the actual exam, I struggled to use the monitor and keyboard as I am not used to it and it has added to my discomfort as I took the exam.

2) The background noise is very distracting, so it is best to practice with a loud background noise. In my experience, I cannot focus on my own tasks as I could hear other test takers near me even if they are trying their best to not be very loud. And because of this, during the repeat sentence questions, I am only able to fully repeat 2 out of 10 items. The rest I am able to say only for around 50%-70%.

3) If you're shy, try to practice with someone who is near you, this will help you get used to people hearing you using the templates repeatedly. Since I am uncomfortable that other test takers are hearing me repeat the templates, I cannot focus and articulate well.

4) Even if you made mistakes in the speaking part do not lose hope. Just continue doing your tasks with confidence as negative mindset will affect you for the whole duration of the exam.

5) Don't forget to eat before going up to the exam building as there's no place to eat there.

6) During mic test part, try to read the instructions aloud so that you will be able to practice and prevent stuttering in the first items of read aloud

These are the templates I used ( full details were shared here in this thread you may backtrack) :

1) Write Essay: From: SKILLS PTE ACADEMIC (chemistmom shared), “Although such topics in all likelihood…”
2) DI & RL: Jimmyssem “The given image is about …”
3) SWT: From Singh PTE Classes (chemistmom shared) “albeit, s1;but, s2; therefore, s3.”

RP: This video helped to improve my reordering paragraph mock exam scores. (SKILLS PTE ACADEMIC)

WFD: Follow at your own risk – I am not recommending but I am just sharing out here that I tried this tip of jimmyssem in the actual exam. I tried it since as per jimmyssem there is no negative marks in WFD unlike RS . (https://bit.ly/33HGPpG).

I added words for those that I am not able to hear fully.
Eg. I am not sure if I heard it as "student or students" so I write it both as “student students”.
I added articles and frequently used prepositions at the end of the sentence after the period.

Actually, ginamit ko sya nun exam ko last April. 2 SWT items un lumabas sakin sa exam. Unfortunately, 76 yun nakuha ko. I don't know if effective talaga un template kasi 78 naman yun sayo sir or baka naman sa ibang part tayo nagkulang.. I'm just wondering baka may nakakuha dito ng mas mataas na writing grade using the said template.

Nakakamiss ang thread na to. September 2021, super active ako dito. 8months after, I already got my ITA.

Just trust the process guys. PTE exam ang pinakamahirap na part for me, pero after nito madali nalang mga requirements. So kapit lang. Sacrifice. Ilaban mo ang superior point in 1 take. God bless sa lahat ng mga future takers!

Hello po sir @bartowski ginamit ko po yung template ng SWT na "Albeit sentence1; but, sentence 2; therefore, sentence 3." mukhang nag work naman po kasi naka 90 po ako sa writing. Ang hula ko is baka po sa spelling and minor grammar po yung naging problem po nila? Napansin ko kasi sa SWT passage questions nung nag momock exam ako minsan may mga mali din sa passage na need ikorek kung ang gagawin na technique ay yung kokopyahin sa passage yung sagot.
Better na basahin padin maigi yung mga sinusulat kung tama spelling and grammar po.

@malelu Hello yung tinake ko na mga mock test sa APEUNI ay ung mga new format from oldest to newest mock, so yung last na practice exam ko ay yung May 2022 (prediction). Pero parang wala ako na encounter sa APEUNI na same sa actual exam ko or baka di ko lang napansin. though helpful si APEUNI sa pag identify ng weakness ko at makorek ko yung mga mali ko. Kasi ang ginagawa ko pagnagprapractice ako binabalikan ko ung mga maling result at di ako sure isa isa tapus nireresearch ko sa internet yung ibig sabihin ng mga words and proper use.

About naman sa capitalization, yes same sa sinabi ni @datch29. Capital sa umpisa ng sentence tapus period sa dulo.

Sir @bartowski agree ako kay @CinnZinn kasi effective naman yung format sakin sa writing. Ang iniisip ko lang kung bakit di ako naka-Superior sa Writing nung March eh dahil may mga di ako nasulat na articles sa 1 sentence sa WFD. Kaya yun yung gagawin ko sa retake ko hopefully sa May last week or June 1st week. Kasi madami na nagsasabi na di naman right minus wrong dun sa WFD.

Took my PTE yesterday and happy nakakuha ako 85 overall

First time to post here and want to share some tips:

Essay writing - be mindful of the time. Naubos yung time ko na di ko namalayan. Buti na lang natapos na ko magsulat, nasa checking na lang ng grammar and spelling. Then nagprompt na time's up na nga. Sobrang nagworry ako dito kase akala ko di masave yung sinulat ko. Pero naconsider naman pala hehe
Do not be disheartened. Tuloy tuloy lang ang confidence kahit may di nakuhang question na tama. Nung akala ko di nasave yung essay ko, nadistract na ko. Akala ko babagsak na talaga ko kaya naisip ko wag na tapusin yung exam. Pero inalis ko yon sa isip ko and still did my best sa ibang questions.
Practice newscaster style of speaking. Mababa ang speaking score ko (78) and I think tataas sya kung inartehan ko pagsasalita. Haha. I admit nagkulang ako sa practice sa Read Aloud kaya practice kayo dito.
Describe image and Retell Lecture - used jimmysem template. Pero I suggest yung last paragraph "Finally..." dagdagan nyo ng complete sentences wag lang puro keywords.

Wow ang dami. Nung ako May 13 7AM, number 8 ako. tapus napansin ko may dumagdag saakin mga 2 lang so siguro mga 10 lang kami sa PTE exam. So baka dahil maaga ung slot kaya konti kami.

Wow ang dami. Nung ako May 13 7AM, number 8 ako. tapus napansin ko may dumagdag saakin mga 2 lang so siguro mga 10 lang kami sa PTE exam. So baka dahil maaga ung slot kaya konti kami.

Ay wow konti lang po pala pag umagang sched. Same kami ni @jingam last March 2 PM naman sched ko nasa 20-30 tao kami na nagtake. Tapos may mga dumadagdag pa. Gusto ko sana konti lang kasabay para maminimize yung ingay pero mahihirapan ako sa pagpunta pag umaga kasi 2-3 hrs away kami sa Makati. Thanks sa pagshare ng info. Pag-isipan ko sched kong pipiliin.
