i would say, should be in the following order:

assuming you have already the necessary docs (work reference from previous jobs, educational docs), you can already get a skills assessment from CPAA or CAANZ

while waiting for the result of the skills assessment, get the necessary police checks (PH, AU and other countries were you resided with substantial length) ung sa PH, NBI clearance eh sobrang tagal bago ma process. kung PR 190 ang aapplyan mo, hindi chinecheck ng state ang police clearance, so may ample time ka pa na makuha to for the purpose ang DHA check.

Once the skills assessment returns with positive results, you can now create an EOI through skillselect. make sure that the points that you will claim will be supported by docs, as applicable.

you need a pre-invitation from state for PR 190. in my case, i paid AUD330 when i was invited by NSW. I submitted all my docs except for police checks. make sure that if docs needs to be legalised/authenticated here in AU, please do so. they will also require proof of residence such as bank statement (showing your recent purchases/payments) and utility bill

Once you receive the positive result from the state, makakatanggap ka naman ng ITA from DHA.

You will need to submit the same set of docs you previously submitted when you were invited by the state + the police check + pay for the necessary fee. Automatically pag nag apply ka, another bridging visa will be issued to you.

Once application is completed, waiting game starts.

Police clearance, be careful with timing as well as medical. These are time sensitive documents. I usually advice clients to sort this last.

yeah that is right. i only advise him to get the NBI clearance since it is longer to get from PH (maybe around 2 - 3 months) plus the 12 months effectivity. but yeah plan this carefully as for NBI clearance, ang start ng effectivity is kapag na generate na ung report, and not from the time it was delivered to you nor to your representative na kukuha/rereceive ng clearance.

as for medical, he said na meron na sya, so hindi ko na binanggit. but this one depends on your case as well. one of the questions when applying after receiving ITA was when was your last medical check for visa purposes. dun nila dedetermine kung need mo ba ng bago or not.

I was only replying as a general guide/clarification as others are reading the posts too. Police and medical certificates have 12 months validity regardless which country it’s from. I’m not trying to debate nor antagonise what was posted.

Ms @RheaMARN1171933 thank you for the advise, I appreciate it. I applied for my NBI last year as I was already in the embassy in Canberra to renew a passport at that time, so I thought I might as well do it while I was there. I also have the AFP one last November. I had to extend my student visa and DHA requested for my medical. Ano po usually expiry ng said documents?

These documents have 12 months validity so usually we wait for the case officer to request for these - s56 letter. You’ll be given 28 days to respond. In any case police check or medical can’t be provided within the timeline for some legit reason, you just need to respond within the given timeline. It’s not the end of the world if you can’t provide them with 28 days;as long as legit yung reason).

105 for 491 sir, DOE December 2021 kaso pag chineck sa RDA's hindi naman naka tick ung offshore civil engineer. ibig ba sabihin puno na? for example Sydney RDA region hindi na naka'tick ung civil engineer

This is a provisional visa not just a pathway. It isn’t the same as student visa. Once you meet the residency and income criteria you’ll be eligible for PR visa na. You’ll be foolish to turn this down.

Hi po! Pwede po ba mag move from one designated regional area to another under visa 491? For example po mag initial entry pa lang po kami sa NSW, pero yung nag nominate sa amin ay Riverina.. pwede po kaya deretcho na kami mag live sa Illawara region kase dun kami nakahanap ng work? Like di na kami mag stay sa Riverina kahit sila yung nag grant ng nomination?

Will it affect po yung future application for PR?

Mahirap po kase pa lipat2 lalo na kung family. Family of 3 po kami at may baby.

pero pagnabago ang circumstances mo like naging defacto ka or married after invitation to apply. Marerefuse ang application mo. pagnakareceive ka ng invitation, up to visa grant, di dapat magbago unless single ka na nagpakasal sa isang Australian. 10 pts parin ang single and 10 points rin pag Australian ang pinakasal mo. Pero kung single ka, and nagmarry or nadefacto ka sa Non-Australian, from 10 pts, magiging zero points.

Hi! Sino po ang nakapag apply sa RDA Orana? Nainvite po ako ng NSW last May 12, pero ngayon palang po sana ako magpapasa sa RDA Illawarra pero closed na daw po. Ngayon, sa RDA Orana na po ang target namin. Tanong ko po kung may chance po kaya na ma-nominate kasi nakalagay po sa website nila low chance. 🥲 Med Lab Sci Visa 491 95pts. so I'm confused kung magpapasa ba ako ng application form sa RDA, but wala namang ROI. I hope anyone can shed a light on this.

Hi po! From my understanding, when you send an EOI for 491, since you can opt for different states it’s up to the discretion of the state if they want to invite/nominate you. While the ROI, since you actively sent an interest to a specific region you’re more likely to be noticed and given a pre-invite earlier. This is just from my understanding since I sent an EOI and ROI during March and got a pre-invite in April to specifically the RDA I chose.

I also got another NSW invite on May 12 so I was confused but realized that it required the same process it’s just that you’re free to look for any available RDA.

So in your case po, you don’t need to send an ROI since you already have a NSW nomination. Just contact nalang po an RDA ☺️

hi @Ghabreal , actually itong screenshot ko from RDA FSC siya since yun yung target ko rin. lumabas yang message after I filled out their form for "Skill Availability" which will come with an IRN. so currently, I am at Step 6 and waiting for their response bago makapag-send ng application. not sure lang kung gaano katagal nila i-process ito.
