Be very careful with sharing CDR….make sure not to plagiarise. With all the cases we’ve done, none of our clients had to look at other’s CDRs to write theirs and we’ve not had any issues with any outcomes. If you’re capable to question qualify for a degree you’re more than capable to write your own CDR 🙂

    Hi @michmel_911 ,

Hope this helps. Key points lang to for AIQS migration assessment.

    1. Do you have minimum of 2 years working experience as QS?
    2. Did you work under approved supervision (meaning yung boss/supervisor mo has a QS degree or a member of AIQS, RICS or other known QS organizations?
    3. If item 1 is YES, check item 2. if NO, gain more experience.
    4. if item 2 is also YES, you are more likely to pass the migration assessment with AIQS. If you wish to pursue with the assessment, get an english exam first.
    5. after passing the required score for english exam, complete all required documentation specially the reference letter from supervisor and certificate of employment.
    6. Kapag nakumpleto mo na, pay the fee and submit documents.
    7. Pray and goodluck.

    >

    1. Employment Reference/s (on Corporate Letterhead) from a Quantity Surveyor to include an outline of your role and the main duties performed, specified dates of your role with the organisation and referee’s contact details and qualifications.

    2. Colour copies of each supervisor’s qualification/s

    Thank you po

Thanks @Jacraye . I am leaning to pathway 3 upon reading this excerpts. Seldom I see testimonials or success stories with suitable outcome from Bachelors Degree holder in Engineering (Civil) taking this skills assessment by AIQS.

Do you know someone po na naging suitable yung result same as my case? Thank you and Regards.

Yes, it is very seldom to encounter people who actually took their skills assessment with AIQS in this forum.
Most, if not all, did not get a favourable result. Even those whom I know personally failed as well.

Based on the information from applicants, I believe the reason why they failed to get a favourable outcome is because they could not provide evidence that they have been working under approved supervision.

When I applied for my assessment ages ago, there were only 3 pathways. Now, Pathway 4 is available for QS organisation members. However, approved supervision is still required in pathway 4. And being a member of any known QS organisation does not guarantee a favourable outcome.

The only advantage before when you are a member of AIQS and applied for skills assessment is that members have huge discount of assessment fees. Like 65% off. However, it looks like AIQS changed it as well and no more discounts.

Thank you for this @Jacraye. Will try my luck to be assessed by AIQS through pathway 3 (cross fingers and pray). Can't in Pathway 4 since I am not a member of AIQS. And I believe that PICQS is still not yet recognized QS institution as specified in the policy (April 2023).

In your own opinion po, will the six (6) years under MRICS supervision enough?

If I can remember correctly, PICQS is recognised by AIQS since 2018 based on the mutual recognition agreement.

But based on the signed document, the mutual agreement will only last up to Nov. this year :s

Hope PICQS Founder will amend the agreement.

Can I present and attach also my PICQS member certificate and CPD points as supporting documents during assessment too? Glad to hearing your insights :)

Hi @Jacraye , I'm planning mag paassess sa AIQS. Ok lang ba if PTE yung english exam or required talaga na IELTS? Also my previous boss from my previous employer is currently a member of PICQS, ok lang na sakanya magpapirma ng referral letter nu, tama ba? Thank you for answering.

Just sharing some points in my EA Assessment as ME through MEP QS role:

    • Snap shot of calculation sheet for ducts (as trying to relate to ME)
    • Providing take-off sheets related to Mechanical
    • Providing highlighted drawings related to Mechanical in the projects I handled
    • Explaining site inspections relating to Payment Applications and PCs (providing photos if applicable to you)
    • Verification of works of our SCs related to Mechanical (providing photos if applicable to you)
    • Checking of Materials on sites related to Mechanical (providing photos if applicable to you)

In summary: If CE, try nyo lang irelate yung duties sa engineering role, as QS is one subcategory ng CE.

    Good luck to all.

Yes, pwede PTE. AIQS noted under the migration policy that any English Language Tests that are approved by the Department of Home Affairs is accepted.

Yes, for the reference letter you are correct. However, I think it is best to get your reference letter soon before the memorandum of agreement between AIQS and PICQS expires this year. Not sure if it will have some technicality issues but mabuti na sigurado.

Hi @Jacraye Thank you! One last thing what if I have previous boss pero nagresign din siya eventually from my previous employer, pwede pa rin ba sakanya magpasign ng referral letter even if iba na yung company niya ngayon? I think need ng company logo sa letter dun sa previous employer ko tama ba?

Imo the most logical thing to do is that in your supervisor's reference letter, let him declare that he is not with the previous employer then include a COE of you supervisor from that previous employer. Best if your supervisor can get an updated COE from the previous employer to match the timing of the reference letter.
