Hi po! Need your insights po about CFO. We will fly to Au on October, sabi daw need mgparegister for CFO for immigrants. Just want to know po anyone here who recently moved to Au in 491 visa.
Im not sure if need ba tlg for 491 visa holder to get a CFO cert/sticker.
    Please help. Thank you!

hi.

Hi. Naku, sorry, di ko natanong yung sa minor. yung sa amin kasi 3 years old and below kaya di ko na natanong about minors. > @EricTC said:

sa Manila lang po ba nakakakuha ng CFO cert? currently nasa province pa kasi ako and flight ko na this November

Hi. pwede po ang webinar. Eto po yung link

    https://cfo.gov.ph/overseas-filipinos-cfo-online-registration-system-or-of-cors/

May I know anong poster po ang pinili nyo, red, blue or pink? Parang wala po kasing applicable for visa 491 holder. Thank you

No need na ng CFO ang Visa 491

Parang di nga po needed for 491, kasi sa first selection ng application CFO form, di applicable yung "petitioner" since wala pa rin akong employer abroad.

Just inform them through your immi account kung saan napprove ang visa niyo. Attach proof of docs.

Kaya provide as much as you can.

    So dalawang submissions.
Yung 14 days based upon arrival
then yung respond sa letter from DHA (92 days after arrival) - submit it up to 28 days upon receipt of letter.

Hello guys. If I may ask:

I was granted visa today. The visa says I have to first enter OZ before 03Mar23. I don't think I'll be ready to move before 03Mar23 so I plan to just enter OZ before that date for a short vacation. I will leave OZ for a week or two then I will only move to OZ when I'm ready in a few more months.

    Posible ba ito?

Hi. To verify lang, kung magdadala ng shampoo, need pa ba ilipat yung laman sa transparent container or ok na yung original container as long as less than 100mL? Also, for car freshener. Thank you

    Posible ba ito?

i thought one year po ang first entry from the date granted? parang ang bilis po sa inyo sir ano kasya basis nila sa first entry.. Congrats po..

I thought the same. Turns out, DHA counts the one year from when you submitted the medical examination result. I sent the result Feb this year so it expires Feb next year.

Has anyone experienced applying for a job online and being hired online while outside Australia? If I get lucky like that, I don't need to bring a huge bag of money to migrate to Australia.

So I guess, it's possible.

I'd recommend looking through flatmates.com.au, sometimes there are short-term rentals advertised there.

Unpopular option is staying at a cheap backpacker's hostel, can range from AUD 25-50/night (depending on location). That's what I did when I moved to Brisbane and not knowing anyone. I stayed at a hostel for 10 days, long enough to do house inspections and secure long-term accommodation. If you're bringing tons of suitcases with you, check if the hostel has storage room. Usually if they have one, you can just leave your suitcases there, and just bring your valuables (and small suitcase) to your dorm room.

Actually, the hostel with that price range yung 1st option ko last week pa. Very uncommon nga kaya worried ako. May I ask how was your personal experience? Mukhang okay naman mga reviews sa mga online sites but not sure if sugar coated yung mga yun.

Hi @reemon I had several experiences staying in a hostel as solo female traveler and I never had an issue. I even stayed in South East Asia (Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore etc) and few ones in Central/Eastern Europe. Advice ko lang is filter those with high number of reviews and highly-rated ones. Also read the decent reviews. If you can be flexible, you may book only one or two nights to see if you will be comfortable then ask na lang for extension.

You really have to manage your expectations when staying at a hostel, especially since you get less privacy in a dorm room. I would usually book a bed with fewer people as much as possible, and usually same gender as I am (4 to 8 people per room is my limit). You can't choose your dormmates, but I try to arrive/check-in around 3 or 4pm (which is the usual check-in time) so I can choose my bunk bed.

The hostels I've been to usually has a small locker in the room, but you'll need to bring your own padlock. The small locker can fit a backpack or small bags, but they're not big enough to fit a carry-on suitcase. So I keep all my suitcase and locker locked up when I leave the room and when I sleep at night (phone lang ang nakalabas pag gabi).

As for which hotels to go, I trust the reviews on Booking.com. Of course I would read the bad reviews too, but at least I'm informed of what things to expect from the hostels. May mga tao kasi na super high standards, expecting a hostel to be run like a 5-star hotel hahaha. For me, as long as malinis yung room/bed and accessible location, ok na ko dun.

I live in WA and my partner used to live in NSW before coming here. For reference, we rent a 4 bedroom 2 storey house for 550 a week. Wala daw ganyang price sa NSW

Rent is definitely a big difference between states/territories, but you do have to consider employment and your personal preferences (like living in small town or big metro cities).

Usually I'd recommend looking at flatmates.com.au and realestate.com.au

    Another question:

Has anyone experienced applying for a job online and being hired online while outside Australia? If I get lucky like that, I don't need to bring a huge bag of money to migrate to Australia.

    May nakaexperience na nito?

me:-) cguro dahil need talaga ng teachers dito:-) PR ang visa mo, so malaki ang chance. Apply na!:-)
