If he goes the ACS route then an assessment is not possible, but for EA it can be done. I was also checking the points reqd for offshore applicants that immigration posted - it was as low as 65. That score can be reached easily (Age = 25/30, Educ = 15, English = 20, single = 10). Could be a good thing to try rather than go SV which is lengthy, costly and does not guarantee anything in the end.

I see, I'll ask first at the Engineering skills Assessment forum if it's a good idea to go through that route with my experience.

Given that there’s only 6 months experience, skills assessment won’t be successful which means he won’t be eligible for 189,190 nor 491 visa subclass. At the the same time, what you mentioned about student visa is correct- procedures might change by the time he’s finished his studies….but looks like his options would either be carry on with work to gain more experience or go via student visa, being mindful that legislation might change by the time he’s done his studies.

If I go for a student visa, is a 1 year's worth of experience in a related IT field in Australia good enough to get a positive assessment for ACS? Since I heard I need to lodge my EOI early because the post study visa is only valid for 2 years.

It’s somehow tricky what you’re trying to do, as mentioned legislation and procedures can change by the time you’re done with your studies. It’s hard to predict your chances in the future based on the current policy.

I see po. Just in case I decided to do my masters in IT sa Australia then nagpaskill assess ako after 1 year sa ACS. Magkaka problem kaya ako makakuha ng points/good assessment since ECE graduate ako pero inonominate ko na skilled occupation is Network Engineer, which is mostly related to ICT degrees? Iisipin kaya nila na my Electronics Degree isn't valid for the skilled occupation or can I just provide a Report of Prior Learning (RPL) that I took up Electives on said Networking courses? Or will they just look at my Masters Degree in IT for the Skill assessment since it'll be my highest attained qualification?

However, if he really is decided to study, what he can do is lodge the EOI onshore and see if he gets an invite whilst he’s studying and if he does then respond to the invite and quit his studies once visa is granted.

I'm also planning on lodging a different visa while I'm working on my Student Visa, will it be a red flag for my GTE if they find out I'm trying for a 189/476 visa?

Quick question lang po regarding below.

High quality colour scans of originals (at least 300dpi).

Is it okay kung camscanner ng phone na lang gamitin? Parang mas malinaw pa ang kuha sa cp kesa sa mismong scanner kasi. :)

First of all, you’ll need to tell your agent what you are doing. There’s nothing worse for any agent to find out the client is trying another strategy behind their back. Just lay down your plans with the agent and he/she could even give you sone insights into what you’re trying to do.

I’m not sure how it’s possible to lock in a client’s name on ACS portal. I don’t thing that’s even possible. Communicate things with your agent.

baka ginagamit niya yung old email niya na ginamit din nung agent sa unang application niya. yung email address kasi gagamitin mong login sa ACS portal. I'm not sure if pwede yung 2 assessment sa isang email address, kaya siguro nakakaencounter ng issue

    Pwedeng magsorry? LOL

In my defense, I have communicated this to my agent weeks and weeks ago and I haven't received a reply. Their management is doing poorly and I just found out that the consultants handling my case have left the organisation, and expecting a reply from the replacement whom I've never encountered or talk to would take another few weeks. Calling their office did not help at all either. As the clock is ticking I've decided to take matters into my own hands, hence the question. I have no vendetta to exact against agents, nor would I want to make agents' life difficult or ~go behind their back~for no good reason. It's my future on the line. Maybe don't judge agad?

Also I've tried to submit, logged in using my usual username and password. I clicked "New Application" then filled in the details. when clicking "Next" after uploading my CV and passport, it said "Applicant and Agent e-mail address should be different", then at the bottom it said " Our records show that you have an existing ACS account or have previously started an application." I can't see any agent information on the form, so that's why I believe it was ~locked. So yes, it is possible to be locked. It doesn't allow me to go any further

I see.. I wasn’t judging you at all, I’m not even saying that your intention is to give them a hard time. I was only simply replying as per the information provided. There’s nothing more to it so should be taken at face value. Likely ACS set the system to be able to control such situations hence you’ll need to liaise with them. They are helpful when it comes to issues so don’t have any second thoughts approaching

if that’s the case with your agent might be worth considering to disengage them with your case? Are they even doing something on your case at all?ie strategies they use on your case is apt for the current process? There’s no point keeping them if ang labo nila and can’t communicate properly with them.

Anyway, You can always contact ACS and get to the bottom of this. Any agent has no way to hold you back from sorting this out with ACS at the end of the day. when clients come to me to discuss another skills assessment application, we give them the choice to whether they do it themselves or seek for an additional assistance from us. Personally I don’t mind if they DIY it, I understand as it will be cost effective for them….then they just update me if the outcome later and I continue to help them with strategies appropriate for their circumstance.

Hmm…how does that work? I can’t completely decipher this scenario. Agents have their own account with ACS. All our skills assessment submissions for various clients are in that account. We will never use a client’s ACS account to do any submissions at all.

Makes me think, are they even registered at all? From the looks of it parang they’re doing a different procedure which registered agents don’t even do at all. I hope they know what they’re doing.

And I think that’s why nalabuan na ako with the initial post . Kasi I know a candidate can always lodge the submission easily and agents have nothing to do with it.

No idea how that works, and I’m not sure what agents do but that’s what happened :) I’ve provided the screenshots to my agent in a separate email. no it’s not one of those fly by night agents, I was referred to them and may sizable following / good reputation sila. I won’t be naming them but they’ve helped with my student visa + 485 visa without any problems. I guess yun kasi specialty nila and not PR? Not sure. This time lang talaga parang naging weird na yung handling and I haven’t gone this long without replies from them before. Anyway, I’ll be following up with them na lang, if that doesn’t work then I’ll withdraw from them and lodge my own skills assessment.

Hello! Im trying to start a new application as a Software Engineer, previously had one as an ICT BA. Kaso parang nakalock sa agent ko yung login hindi ako makapag pasa ng bago. Would u suggest emailing ACS to unlock or gawa nalang ng bago under a different email address?

First of all, you’ll need to tell your agent what you are doing. There’s nothing worse for any agent to find out the client is trying another strategy behind their back. Just lay down your plans with the agent and he/she could even give you sone insights into what you’re trying to do.

I’m not sure how it’s possible to lock in a client’s name on ACS portal. I don’t thing that’s even possible. Communicate things with your agent.

Do you have your agent's MARA number? This might be something you can report, especially if they have provided a contract or anything to assure you that they would fulfil their services in good faith and conduct?

I do. I’ll definitely look into your suggestion. May contract naman and everything. Thanks for this :) I was hoping to avoid conflict but given this situation parang walang choice :(

baka ginagamit niya yung old email niya na ginamit din nung agent sa unang application niya. yung email address kasi gagamitin mong login sa ACS portal. I'm not sure if pwede yung 2 assessment sa isang email address, kaya siguro nakakaencounter ng issue

Yes ito nga nangyari. I used my main email address and my agent asked for the login so they could do the skills assessment on my behalf. Now I can't file a new skills assessment application, it throws an error saying "Agent and Applicant email address should be different"

Best not to name them here as it will be inappropriate for me to give you insights of what should and shouldn’t. Student visa is very easy to process. You actually don’t need an agent to apply for that. It’s that simple that if someone comes to us to ask for assistance, I send them away as they are better off saving the money they’ll be spending for my services.

If that’s what they specialise in, I’ll be nervous on other visas if I’m the client. The only way to find out if the agent us qualified to provide immigration advice is through MARA number. Did you ever ask for their number? Thus should always be on the signature of email. If they specialise in student visa, would it be possible that they are an education agency instead?

Definitely you should look into it. I’m not sure how far you’ve gone with your case but in case you decide to disengage, send them a completed 956form….good luck!

Yes I have the MARA number and I have a contract with them with all the details :) I took on their services because a hefty amount of money was involved (pre paid tuition fees etc) and I wanted my application to go seamlessly, given I had no experience with filing Australian visas. As I had a number of friends who studied in Australia na sa kanila nagpahelp, I had the confidence that they’ll be able to do it well. Just not sure what happened this time around! :)

Anyway when replying to me add your comment na lang and don’t edit it on my previous one, might get confusing for others who have a similar query to mine :) thanks for the insight! My agent has replied to me at long last and I might be able to sort this out after all haha.

I’ll post an update in the thread for people who have similar situations.

Not even editing your post, just replying to it. Perhaps it comes out different if moderator ang nagrereply? I’m not sure 🤷‍♀️ Good luck, hope you sort things out with them. Remember, you’re paying an agent and you shouldn’t be left in the dark otherwise refer to the code of conduct if there’s any breach. You should be protected against malpractices.

Both review and appeal, kelangan mo magbayad ng fee.. ang difference is, sa appeal, di ka na pwede magdagdag ng document.. pero pag successful ang appeal, irerefund nila yung binayad mo. sa review naman, pwede ka magdagdag ng documentation kung makakapag improve yun ng assessment mo, pero non-refundable siya.

Hello! Nag expire na po ung assessment ko nung March. I am still employed sa same company with the same role. Sa renewal ng ACS assessment, do I need to add as new experience ung years na hindi covered nung initial assessment? Ang nilagay ko pong end date sa first application ay 12-02-2020. Hindi na po kasi ma edit yung previous application.

No need, just provide your latest employment reference and payment evidence to prove that you are still employed with them.

They will adjust the end date for you.

DIY all the way. Avoid preachy, know-it-all, and unscrupulous agents AT ALL COSTS!

I see.

I had to submit 3x because one of my ex-employers was not assessed due to the following reasons:
    1. An employer reference letter listing the actual duties performed by you, NOT provided; generic job descriptions are NOT accepted.
    2. The assessor has noted that the "Job Description" page following the Certificate of Employment is not mentioned in the Certificate of Employment, which is closed by the signature block, and the Job Description page does not contain your name.

For Attempt #1, nilapat ko lang kasi yung job description nung listing ng company when I applied for the job, which is technical din naman but ACS sensed it's generic. They prefer low-level technical job details.

For Attempt #2, nasa 2nd page yung rectified detailed job description ko, but the signature of HR was on the 1st page together with my profile. Kahit may page number to indicate continuity, preferred nila nasa last page ang final signature block.

Hello po, sa COE nakalagay is yong last position cover yong entire duration ng employment ko despite na lumipat ako ibang position.

    Position A - June 2016 to Jan 2018
    Position B - Jan 2018 to Jan 2020

Do I need to acquire stat dec for both positions or okay na si Position B since siya naman yong nakalagay sa COE from the time na nag start ako until nag resign?

ginawa ko sakin, nilagay ko sa stat dec yung lahat ng naging position / role ko within the employment years ko sa kanila (ex-ACN here).. Bali from ASE - SSE nasa stat dec.. then sa coe ko, yung last role lang nandun, pero importante na nandun yung start date and end date ng employment

Hi everyone! My friend got AQF Associate Degree based on ACS assessment, upon creating EOI wala siya sa available option to select sa qualifications.

What's the correct qualification should be selected? Is it correct that it is equivalent to Advanced Diploma as they are of same level on AQF framework?

Both review and appeal, kelangan mo magbayad ng fee.. ang difference is, sa appeal, di ka na pwede magdagdag ng document.. pero pag successful ang appeal, irerefund nila yung binayad mo. sa review naman, pwede ka magdagdag ng documentation kung makakapag improve yun ng assessment mo, pero non-refundable siya.

Do I need to reupload my TOR? andun na kasi yung TOR ko sa initial assessments ko kaya di na ko nagupload ng bago.

I asked them the reason for rejection then I submitted for review.

Hindi ako nagpa review nung 1st result ko last year dahil naisip ko sayang lang kasi closed pa naman ang border. Kaya neto lang ako nagpareview when I received my 2nd result.

iaddress niyo po yung reason bakit failed yung assessment.. based po sa screenshots niyo sa unang post, insufficient payment evidence daw.. so I guess more evidence pa po for payments like ITR, payslips, SSS contributions, etc. Tapos sabi may lack of documentation daw po sa degree, kaya ayun pong mga docs yung iupload nio. May document po yung ACS about sa checklist for assessment.

Hello po, sa COE nakalagay is yong last position cover yong entire duration ng employment ko despite na lumipat ako ibang position.

    Position A - June 2016 to Jan 2018
    Position B - Jan 2018 to Jan 2020

Do I need to acquire stat dec for both positions or okay na si Position B since siya naman yong nakalagay sa COE from the time na nag start ako until nag resign?

ginawa ko sakin, nilagay ko sa stat dec yung lahat ng naging position / role ko within the employment years ko sa kanila (ex-ACN here).. Bali from ASE - SSE nasa stat dec.. then sa coe ko, yung last role lang nandun, pero importante na nandun yung start date and end date ng employment

Thank you po sa reply. Magkaiba kase positions ko and under sa different managers. Gawan ko nalang ng stat dec both or mas maganda gawan ko stat dec yong nominated occupation ko stating the employment dates. Habulin ko sila both. Pwedi ba colleague ang mag witness or need managers? Not sure if employed pa mga managers ko. By the way po, may expiration ba ang stat dec with notario. Plan ko kase ayusin pero later na magpa assess sa ACS.
