REPEAT SENTENCE : sumasablay ako sa mock test ng apeuni sa repeat sentence. kaya hindi ako naging confident dito. naisip ko lang baka kulang ako sa kape habang nagpa-practice...uminom ako ng kopiko lucky day during exam day para hindi antukin and gumana isip ko.haha opinyon lng to siguro psychological feeling ko tumalas isip ko.haha

ASQ : hindi ko nasagutan lahat.. ang naalala ko lang parang may tanong kung ano yung tumawag kapag pinicturean ka ng nakatagilid dun ako nahirapan.haha ano b tawag jan?

WE : gumawa ng sariling template kung anong kayang i-memorize base sa mga tips din dito. nood ng paggawa ng structure from Jay e2language.

2nd paragaph

5pm din ako. Dumating ako mga 4:15, so nagstart ako i think either 4:30 or quarter. Kastress lang kasi yung mga kumuha kahapon may results na din 🤣

Up to 5 days ang results, excluding weekends and holidays ang alam ko. Try mo mag-wait until Monday, and if wala pa rin follow up na.

Meron po ba dito successful nakabili ng PearsonPTE mock exam (official) this month?

Nag try ako bumili ako ng 2021 mock test sa PTE website mismo, "test E", pero nag error ung website after ma complete yung payment details at i click yung checkout.
Tapos nag restart ako machine, clear cache then try again, error na naman.
Tapos nag try ako sa mobile, error pa din.

Sa online bank ko naman, nakalagay 3 times decline, 3 times pending.
Sabi ng bank, na bawas na daw nila sa account ko yung 3x amount pero di pa kinukuha ng PTE. So need ko daw i check sa PTE side.

Pagka email ko sa PTE at online chat nung Friday, sabi wait daw ako 3-5 business days... My exam is in 5 days so nadagdag pa sa stress ko to ;C

Been doing ApeUni mock for a week, and mejo up and down yung scores ko, minsan 60ish minsan 80ish kaya naisip ko i try yung actual PTE mock.

Yung Describe Image (the given image is about interesting topics.. etc). sa read aloud may mga lumabas from ape uni, pero sa the rest wala masyado saken. Pero laking tulong ng apeuni lalo na sa repeat sentence and WFD

For test takers na walang pambili ng mock test or VIP ng apeuni, gawa kayo ng dummy email account then register sa different websites for free mock test (1 time).

Yung iba may grade, yung iba wala.
pero advisable syempre repeated graded Mock test and ApeUni yung isa sa mga pinaka maayos na app so far.

Some tips to get '90' overall na bihira ma mention:

1 - sleep early kahit hapon pa yung exam mo
2 - wag na mag over review/extra effort sa byahe, baka mahilo ka pa
3 - wag kumain ng maaanghang or malalansa, baka sipunin at magka plema or LBM
4 - magtutuli, may linis ng ilong, i-massage ang sinus area
5 - uminom ng water bago ipatago lahat ng gamit, mag wiwi bago mag start ang exam
6 - mag pray

sa exam naman:

Don't just memorize templates word by word, mas ok if may format ka na ng answer for each type para kahit anong question/image/graph lumabas, di ka kakabahan.
Pagka start ng exam, don't waste time sa introduction, state your name then start using your extra time to write your Template/Format sa papel na ibibigay. 30 seconds din yun.
if mauuna ka sa mga kasabay mo mag read aloud, mas okay kasi tahimik pa. if sabay sabay kayu papasok, pagka start ng timer, direcho ka na sa instructions, next next next.
wag magpa distract sa boses ng iba, lalu na pag di kayang i cover ng headset yung tenga mo ng buo. tuloy mo lang pagbasa at pagsasalita, pag repeat sentence, pumipikit ako para mas makuha ko yung sinasabi.

sa review tips:

Focus on Big 4
a. Read Aloud - mabilis ang ginawa ko na may hinga after ng "comma" at tone/stress

b. Repeat Sentences - mention first and last 3 words, yung middle minsan di ko na maalala. mas importante dito ka tono mo yung nagsasalita lalu na sa last 3 words.

c. Describe Image - present tense ginamit ko. (stress sa S)
1. image shows, 2. and also, 3. then, 4. moreover, 5. finally
2. graph indicates, 2. then, 3. On one hand (high), 4. On the other hand (low), 5. finally

d. Retell-Lecture - past tense ako dito. (stress sa ER at ED) (10 keywords atleast)
1. the lecturer discussed the Main Topic
2. Firstly, he/she mentioned the link between ___ and ____,
3. Then, the speaker focused on ___, ___ , and also on ____ and _____.
4. Moreover, ____, ___, and ___, were highlighted by the presenter.
5. Finally, he concluded the talk with important facts about the Main Topic

Familiarize with Medium 4
e. SWT- [Noun], WHICH S1 + S2; [hence/therefore/although], S3

f. Essay - Nowadays, the REPHRASE QUESTION is.. First, Then, Furthermore, Finally

g. WD - double word if di sure kung may S/ ED/ a/ the/ pero wag sosobra sa 3 repetition

Hi ask ko lang if mag changes ba sa pte format? Its been more than 3yrs last ako nag pte and im taking again long story....i did get invited in 489 and currently working and living in australia under 489 will apply soon for 887 but since its taking time for processing and grant of 887 hence i decide to apply for 189 or 190 ....i just need help and tips on how to get 65( proficient score only) i need. Thanks

2 hours na lang yung exam, no breaks but lesser questions for some sections.
sa big 4 ka mag focus if 65 yung target kasi multiple bands yung score nila. attached yung apeuni sample computation (may vary depende sa dami ng tanong per band na matatapat sa exam mo)

a. Read Aloud - Speaking 30%+ and Reading 25%+
b. Repeat Sentences - Speaking 30%+ and Listening 20%+
c. Fill in the Blanks Dropdown - Writing 20%+ and Reading 25%+
d. Write from Dictation - Writing 25%+ and Listening 20%+

More score
e. Describe Image - Speaking 20%+
f. Writing Essay- Writing 15%+
g. Fill in the Blanks Drag - Reading 15%+

Hello, sharing my PTE journey!

This blog has been so helpful, so might as well share my experience too.. 🤍

Took the exam last 12/19, my initial schedule was 5pm but arrived at 3pm. The guard will ask you if you want to start early so I decided to take the exam and not to wait for my original schedule.

Pros: 2 or 3pm slot is still ongoing, other takers are already in the middle of the exam so background noise is minimal and tolerable.

My First Take! Results are out after 2.5 hrs. 🥰

Score: Not the score I wanted but enough for Superior 😇 (Got a lower score for Writing, though)

Here are some thoughts:

RA: Passages are shorts (for me) and a lot easier compared to practice questions in APEUni. Make sure to give stress to impt words (Jimmyssem and E2 technique)

RS: Not that confident here but I managed to deliver the sentences clearly (fluency is the key -- if you are unable to mention some words, it's totally fine, just continue)

RL/DI: Jimmyssem technique. I just tweaked it by adding conclusion line and replacing the "finally" to "in addition".

ASQ: (Questions are pretty hard) If I remember it correctly, I just answered 1 or 2 out of 5. (If I don't know the answer-- I just tell any word/s)

SWT: I used "Noun, s1;hence (or therefore) (thanks to @reenoah)

SST: E2 template

WE: APEUni template (but not the whole, I just picked some sentences that can help me build the context of my essay)

All MC/FIB: Just familiarize yourself to these types. APEUni is a great help!

HIW: My favorite. (Practice using a laptop or desktop, it's quite different when you're using a phone 😅)

WFD: Passages are also short and I am confident here that I wrote all of them correctly (so not sure why I got a low score in Writing). Please watch Jimmyssem for tips. You can write a word you are unsure of, repeatedly. For ex, with "ed" with "s" and without

Review materials: APEUni (VIP), Jimmyssem, E2, Moni (tiktok), PinoyAu

APEUni is enough (for me). I didn't avail Pearson mock test.

Study how PTE scoring works and focus on the following RA, RS, FIB, and WFD.

Tips: Microphone placing is really tricky-- make sure that you're comfortable with it. Practice during the test set up part. I also followed Moni's tips about speaking with facemask.

Depende sa fluency, kung nagstutter ka, etc. Naalala ko nung nagexam ako hindi ko nasabi lahat ung Repeat sentence ng correct, may mga missing words. Sa result naman naka 90 ako.

Reliable po ba itong sa Apeuni?
Nag sstutter ako minsan sa RS kasi may tendency nalilimutan ko agad yung mga narinig ko.

sa speaking hindi accurate sa ape uni i can attest this got 90 in the actual exam di ata ako lumagpas ng 80+ sa ApeUni

Same experience, missed a lot of words and added some sa Repeat Sentence but still got 90. I suggest na if magkamali ka, try to act as if hindi and tuloy-tuloy ka lang.

Parang mas mahigpit pa ApeUni kesa sa actual scoring.
If masyado na mahaba, di na talga maaalala lahat ng words, pag ganyan natapat sa akin, first 3 and last 3 words na lang ginagalingan ko basta ka tono ng speaker. cguro half lang ng RS yung sure akong nasabi ko lahat pero 90 pa din.

Ma send kaya agad results sa Home Affairs? Pero if mababa score? and mag retake, makikita rin nila history mo ng retakes? Hehe
