FINALLY GOT MY GRANT! (SUBCLASS 189 - PERMANENT)
    OCTOBER 6 INVITEE

    NO AGENT - OFFSHORE

From planning, dreaming, english exam reviews, sitting in the PTE Room at Trident Tower in makati, gathering of docs and submission for skills assessment. To NBI Appointments, medical in NHS to waiting game! It’s a 4-year journey (including planning)!

Thank you po sa forum na ito. Na naging tambayan for the last couple of years. Journey to BM and Citizenship naman! See you on the next threads! <3

    Few Tips!
    * I FRONTLOADED all requirements after lodging. Gaya ng mga nababasa ko dito sa forum. Hehe. Meaning, I uploaded all pertinent documents even without C.O. requesting them. These include NBI Clearance and Medicals. After lodging, I immediately booked an application to NBI and had my Medical scheduled at NHS Makati (since my preferred date of medical is available in their clinic) (Other clinics where you can get your medicals done if you’re in Manila are IOM and St. Lukes). I understood that these are time-sensitive docs that will expire in a year. But, as for me, at least for me, I don’t mind renewing my NBI again nor having my medicals again, before it actually expires. Costly, but incomparable with the benefits afterward. Anyway, this is for my own sake also, on the health side. In my experience, FRONTLOADING is effective. My application goes from “Received” to “Finalised”. NO Case Officer CONTACT, REQUEST, WHATSOEVER. But, guys, still.. do this at your own risk.

*I also submitted Form 80 and 1221. Even without CO asking for it. I submitted these, right after my lodgement/payment where the attachment prompt is shown. I uploaded these under ‘Other Documents’.

*Check all forms EOI, Immiaccount, 80, 1221, and others GAZILLION times before submitting. I remember myself checking all these every time and still finding something erroneous that I didn’t notice from the first checks. Have someone check it too, with fresh eyes.

*Always make your evidence/documentation like passports, and IDs at hand while filling up forms, always check and compare the numbers that are being asked. (e.g. Passport Nos, ID Nos, Addresses, etc)

*Always read the question marks icon for more information.

*Always include your MIDDLE NAME on your FIRST NAMES. Every single time when you fill up something concerning applications in Au. Buti na lang nabasa ko agad to sa forum, nung may nagbrought up, at buti na lang nasa EOI stage pa lang ako ang waiting pa sa invitation kaya na-edit ko pa.

**DIY IS SO SO SO DOABLE. **Just equip yourself with knowledge about the visa and the processes. I’ve been reading all these since 2018 to date. I invested my time to study the flow and corners of these processes. It took me just a couple of months to get the job done. Submitted EOI September 11, 2022 and now, visa was granted at 11 April 2023. EXACTLY 7 months from my EOI submission to DHA. Slowlyyyyy but surely. <3

Experiences from other forum mates are very very very helpful as well. Thank you for sharing your journey and I am one of those who benefited from it. DIY is doable for those who have simple cases like me. For those who have complex cases, consult registered migration agents/lawyers.

Hello, alam niyo ba kung merong published statistics ang AU para sa mga na grant showing the trend in scores per anzsco, per year, per type of visa (189, 190, 491). Ang nakikita ko lang for Au, number of grants per anzsco, gusto ko sana makita ung minimum score na nainvite every round.

Canada has something like this published monthly pero di ko makita for Au, meron ba sila?

Have you considered filing for other states as well, like VIC, for your 190/491 EOIs? Although invites are getting out more quickly and easily this FY, I think it remains competitive for ICT so best to maximise your chances. Focusing on NSW may limit your opportunities... although I think eventually you'll get one rin :)

Did you submit your ROI for VIC na rin? VIC is EOI + ROI, ah.

And for filing your EOI, isa-isahin mo so you have more "tickets in the lottery" kumbaga. One EOI per subclass and per state.

    So:

    189 = 1 EOI
    190 NSW = 1 EOI
    491 NSW = 1 EOI

And so on... You need to read up on each state's nomination process, kasi sari-sarili yan sila. For exampel, kay VIC, you can only do either 190 or 491.

Here are some resources to get you started:

If you're targeting other states, read up on that state's own process. Just Google "Queensland state nomination process" and check na official government site yun. When in doubt, you can always seek clarification here.

I think this is common since middle names are not usually used (or usually omitted) in other countries, like Australia. Wala naman akong naging problem using my Tourist Visa grant letter (na walang middle name ko) and I'm guessing may backend protocols yan sa system, like for example tied yung grant mo sa passport mo or something 😀

Hello po! Itatanong ko lang po sana gano po katagal magrant if maga-aaccomplish pa lang ng medical upon request ni DHA? thank you sa sasagot.

You mean if you do your medicals kapag ni-request na ng case officer? No one can tell. May trend but how long it would take to get your grant is still case-to-case basis. But the CO issuing a request for medicals will delay it, compared to doing it right away (assuming na all other requirements are fine).

Yes, ROTC is NOT COUNTED as military service. Dapat "No" yun sa Form 80.
