Hi everyone! Sa mga recently nagpa-skills assessment kay CPA Australia, would you mind sharing your timeline? Nagfa-follow up na kasi si employer sakin and we're just waiting for the skills assessment result to continue with my visa application.

UPDATE: Got my positive results after 17 business days! ❤️

I dont think its an issue as long as naka-mention ang complete JD mo and name ng company you're working with. Supporting documents are listed in CPAA website. Review them.

    “Thank you for reaching out.
Please note, we are currently experiencing a higher than usual level of applications, this has unfortunately extended our wait time to 40-50 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays). This is counted from the day we last received documents from you, which was on 28/02/2023 (35 business days today).”

May deadline ka bang hinahabol? Just in case, you can follow them up by showing proof na may deadline ka.

Yung sakin, I submitted mine to CPAA last March 20 then got the results by April 14. Total of 17 business days (ni-less ko weekends and holidays nila doon). Nagsubmit kasi ako letter from my AU employer na nagsasabing may deadline kaming hinahabol so baka ma-speed up process. Not sure if nakatulong yun and yung complete docs ko (kasi di nila ako binalikan asking for any additional). So baka it would help on your case too.

Hmmm, I think mas okay if tsaka na pag complete na documents mo.

Hello, CPAA skill assessment normally comes into two parts: 1. assess yung bachelors degree if qualified yung studies and degree matches sa mga qualifications for the elected ANZSCO code and 2. skill experience assessment if you want to claim points on work experiences. Normally, yun pong mga undegraduate OJT wont be considered as work experience kasi it has to match yung specific requirement nila like it has to be full time, yung working hours, yung pay plus it needs to happen after yung degree. You can start exploring links below as well -- there are 3 assessing body for accountants.

What is bookkeeper ang job title, pero all work na ginagawa is of an accountant, magkakaproblema ba yun if magpa-assess sa CPAA/CAANZ?

Usually two streams ang assessment. 1. qualification base on the courses and syllabus and 2. if including the work assessment, closely related sa ANZSCO code. If your bookkeeping work fits the code, there won't be any issue in my view. All the best :)

Both! Yung skills assessment kasi, you need to have your education + work experience assessed

    Thanks po! Daming requirements hahaha

I am trying to get assesses for 221111 (General), pero ang work exp ko is 2year external audit + 3.5 AU Internal accounting (PH based). Do you think CPAA will give a positive assessment? hehe

Yes, madami talaga requirements. Umabot halos ng 300 pages yung akin nung nagsubmit ako hehe. Not sure about your question pero just to give you an idea, nababasa ko sa mga groups dati na there are quite a few people with EA background pero nagpa-assess pa din sa general accountant. Logically speaking daw kasi, if auditor ka, alam mo na how general accounting works to perform your job. Mas technical lang talaga pagiging EA 😊

Go for it!! Yung 8 years’ experience ko puro Ext and Internal Audit, in-accept ng CPAA as relevant work experience for 221111. Good luck!
