Good day! Just wanna ask for inputs po.

I am a BSBA Marketing graduate with work experience in the banking industry (Marketing/Product/Events-related).

I already kept in touch with some agencies as I want to study, work, and live in Australia. So far the options I got are:
    1. Masters in Business Administration
    2. Masters in Business Analytics

I am hoping to find cheaper options po sana. I am looking for a school near Blacktown NSW. Please let me know if you have recos. Thank you!

How much work experience do you have? My 30 year old cousin got invited by NSW for a 190 visa last month. Her nominated occupation was Marketing Specialist and she's offshore. If you have enough points, why don't you just try directly for a skilled visa?

I have 6years in total. Thank you very much. May I ask if she applied via a migration agency or she applied by herself?

She applied by herself. We have the same nominated occupation, although I moved here several years ago, so I guided her.

I would want to know if I am eligible for visa190. If it's okay, may I ask what's her total points? Did she have one-downs at work? Lastly, how long did it take for her to apply and get visa approval.

I don't have much funds. Hence, I'm looking for cheaper and less risky way to enter Australia for work. Thank you very much for entertaining my questions.

Marketing Specialist is only eligible for 190 and 491 state sponsored visas. To start, I suggest you check the points calculator to see how many points you can reasonably get https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-support/tools/points-calculator

Also go to Vetassess to see if you meet the requirements for a positive skills assessment https://www.vetassess.com.au/skills-assessment-for-migration/professional-occupations/nominate-an-occupation

A student visa is the most expensive option because you will have to pay for tuition and in the end if you want to stay here, you will still have to go through the skilled visa route yourself because the Marketing Specialist occupation is not eligible for an employer sponsored PR. The list of visas for this occupation is listed in the website of the Australian Department of Home Affairs.

You don't need direct reports for a successful skills assessment but you need to have graduated from a level 1 school. There is a list of schools and their categories somewhere in this forum. You can search for it.

Itatanong ko lang sana if required din po ba kumuha ng Honorable Dismissal/Certificate of Transfer Credentials from my PH uni para po isubmit sa AUS uni, if I'm planning to apply and get a Master's degree program (Postgraduate) doon?

    Salamat po.

Hello everyone. I was also an aspiring offshore applicant few years back from Philippines (with business bachelor's degree) to Australia (certificate of Childcare). I've been asked a lot of questions about this so I thought of creating a video about my Australian Student Visa journey hoping it it can help others too... Please watch and you can drop there a comment so I can answer immediately.

It depends on what career they want to build in Australia. Do they want to continue pursuing business/sales? There's no PR pathway if doing an MBA. Are they willing to change career and select a program that has PR pathway (i.e. healthcare related)? If willing to change career, then she could look into nursing, lab tech programs (just need to check MLTSSL if they're on the list).

Depende po kung ano gusto niyang pag-aralan. Kasi BSBA ako pero nagjump ako sa Cert III in childcare sa Australia.

Hi. I was wondering if okay kumuha ng student visa for Au kahit nagsubmit ako ng EOI 189 na visa. Okay lang ba yun? iniisip ko na baka magkaproblema ako if ever na makakuha ako ng invite tapos student visa nako.

This is sad but true…be mindful. It’s quick and easy to get there but not a guaranteed pathway….

Agents will ask for your CV so they can assess what course na pwedi nila ma advice sayo. Like if degree mo sa Pinas, etc. Please be practical in choosing your path, like get a course that has PR Pathway if you will take the SV Pathway since mahal talaga siya and we are talking of millions of pesos for the tuition fee alone lang.

Thank you! Honestly I think ok na ko with post study work visa. VET kukunin ko so I think mga 1-2 years pwede i-grant or 2-3 sa regional locations. Ipon, bayad utang, then lipat to NZ or Canada. Idk if this plan makes sense.

If I may chime in, why not go to Canada or NZ right now? If nag aral ka sa countries na yun, potentially may benefits pag nag apply ka ng PR there. IDK why you'd study in Australia and leave naman, then do the process again in another country

Yeah, maganda ang student-to-PR pathway sa Canada from what I've heard from friends who migrated there. Plus, the qualifications you would get from your VET course would be apt sa Canadian standards/requirements na rin—easier to look for jobs fit for your skills/qualifications dun. I'm not sure how well an Australian VET course would translate sa Canada lang.

But then again, we all have our reasons naman, just something that might be worth looking into :) Best of luck!

Hello! Question: do I need to declare ALL my previous jobs when applying as a student, or yung relevant lang sa course na aapplyan ko? Thanks!

Depende sayo yan if anong long-term goals mo. Mahirap magka PR sa Australia compared to Canada. May classmate ako before hindi niya tinapos school niya here dahil sa homesickness plus mahirap talaga makakuha work na related sa course and profession. Nong nakaipon siya umuwi siya sa Pinas nag process papuntang Canada - now nasa Canada na. Hehe.

If I may chime in, why not go to Canada or NZ right now? If nag aral ka sa countries na yun, potentially may benefits pag nag apply ka ng PR there. IDK why you'd study in Australia and leave naman, then do the process again in another country

Kasi comparing the schools and the course I'm taking mas nagustuhan ko yung curriculum sa Australia. And mas mura din compared to Canada. This is just a thought at the moment lang naman. It might change pag nandoon na ko.

I saw that too. Nag-inquire na din ako with my agent about Canada. Mas mahal lang talaga siya. :(

Yeah, if that's the case I would probably take a step back muna and calculate the costs long-term and ask myself a few things: if mag-Aus muna ako then Canada, paano magaadd up ang costs over time? Paano ko plan lumipat sa Canada after mag-Aus? Mas makakamura ba ako this way? Kaya ko bang pagipunan yung Canada within x timeframe? And again, consider na lang din if magiging usable ang makukuha mong qualification/degree sa Canada.

Just food for thought siguro. Ultimately, it's up to you naman and malay mo once you get to Aus fate keeps you there :)

On top of this, immigration rules change often. Baka in a few years time na gusto mo na mag apply ng PR, iba na naman ang rules. Best to take some time to think things through then commit with a plan in mind.

Thanks for your insights @MLBS and @era222. Yeah immigration rules change often kaya siguro naisip ko din yung other countries. I'm applying to a school in Adelaide and nakita ko na nasa skills shortlist ng South Australia yung field ko. Also while doing research I got really excited and hoping na matanggap ako kasi ganda sa Adelaide haha.

I tend to overthink lang talaga all the time haha. But after unleashing that thought yeah maybe I should just stick to one location like sa original plan ko.

I think sticking to one location is best given your current circumstances :) Hope you get in your program!
