    Thank you po.

    @ga2au please help advise po.

Sa Sg immigration, u need passport and temporary visit pass. They gave this TVP kapag nacancel na spass mo.

Dito sa Au, just your passport, visa grant and passenger arrival card.

Thank you po @ga2au . Pareho pa po kaming may active pass (inde pa magreresign) and mag tour lang kami to AU for 2 weeks (with return ticket) para sa first entry requirement namin.

Dont give your visa grant unless hinihingi nila.

@ga2au

    Sorry po madaming tanong.

    Uu. Hinanap ung visa grant

    Thank po ulit.

If you intend to convert, madali lang if may existing license ka na before.

Pass the exam and head down to traffic police office to convert.

Haha.
Pangalawa, yung pag alis ng SG, usually merong diplomatic clause sa tenancy agreement, that kicks in usually after a year into the contract kung 2yrs. That protects foreigners like us from being liable of paying the remaining months in the contract with any visa changes/termination that could possibly happen. Check your TA. :)

Question sir, pano if nag resign and narelocate or received job offer in au? Covered padin ba ng diplomatic clause?

If u read sa contract, once umalis ka ng bansa kasama un sa reason to give back the bond. No need to explain na mag migrate ka. Just tell them na ur leaving the country for good. We have a really good agent and owner, nung simabi namin na aalis na kami ng bansa at migrate super natuwa sila for us. But they still told us na need namin bayraan yung prorated ng rent na di namin matitirhan ung house until end contract. Umalis kami January, our rent is until may. So i think minus nila ung remaining months. Our bond was 3800 / 24months. Times 4 remaining months na ddi namin mababayaran. So about 633 binawas sa bond namin. Our last month was free kasi ung advance.

So win sila

Agent fee nga lang, pero portion lang rin (kasi full agent fee is same as the monthly rental amount usually). Though, yung portion ng agent fee na yun ay based pa rin sa remaining number of months. Yung formula na ni-describe ko before ganon sya usually. Maliit na rin yan, and it's just fair. Kasi you signed a contract with them e, tapos di matatapos di ba? It's only fair they get something out of it. But they are aware naman na hindi rin naman makatao na bayaran mo yung total ng remaining months kaya they resort to the portion of the agent fee na lang. Usually, ibabawas yun sa deposit + anything they find in the unit that is out of the wear-and-tear rule (meaning nasira mo).

For those who have existing driver's license in PH, better have it converted in SG before moving to Au.

Q - If expired PH license pano na?
A - Renew mo lang sa pinas (Check na lang pano mag renew, yung akin matagal na expired, so i had to take the exam bago nakapag renew)

Q - Can i get a license first in PH, then convert?
A - di ko alam hehe. Alam ko dapat may EXISTING ka na. (Thats why there's a need to get a certification - to proove you had your license earlier than your arrival in SG)

Q - Any tips on renting cars? Where?
A - use getgo and drivelah app. You can check some rental companies like in carousell, they are cheaper for weekly rates but some cars are not well maintained. I try to stick with the 2 apps.

Q - any review materials to recommend?
A - you can buy books from Kinokuniya, you can also download the PDF from TP site. https://google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwi5z9vCxvL-AhXszDgGHZQIAxIQFnoECA0QAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.police.gov.sg%2F-%2Fmedia%2FSpf%2FFiles%2FTP%2FOnline-Learning-Portal%2FENG-BTT-pdf-file-last-updated-Mar-2020.pdf&usg=AOvVaw14BwNLxqU_-ZnUWzP5xula

    books -

    ref:
    https://www.cdc.com.sg/course/basic-theory-course

    Eto experience ko sa conversion:
    1. Get your License certification from PH LTO. For my case, I asked my Mom to request it at LTO Main. Nagsend lang ako ng authorization letter. The cost of the certification was about 100php.

    - reference image

    1. I registered an account from CDC.

    2. Once enrolled, you can book your BTT exam. You will need to take it face to face. I took it at CDC center sa may Ubi. https://goo.gl/maps/LNNcBZaRRUCcDNHJA?coh=178571&entry=tt

The conversion took about 2 hours. (1.5hrs waiting sa umaga with queue number).

    4. Once done and paid (forgot how much was the conversion), the card will be mailed to your registered address.

    5. Buy your triangle sticker/card when driving on SG roads for 1 year.

    6. For driving, you can rent from rental shops, drivelah app, or getgo app. (Avoid bluesg as their charges for participation fee/excess fee is too high for accidents hehehee).

March 9 - ITA from VIC
    April 2 - COC Appeal
April 12 - COC Appeal approved
April 12 - COC Application approved
April 20 - VISA Lodged and Paid with Form 1229 for kids
    May 2 - Medical @ Paragon
May 8 - Medical result forwarded to DHA by Paragon
    May 11- COC Finger Print
May 12 - Added Additional Documents for Police Clearance
    May 15 - Added completed Form 80
May 16 - Wait and Pray

Sa wlang habas na pagtaas ng RENT at expenses sa SG, napapaisip ako if BIG MOVE agad pagka GRANT ng VISA or Uwi muna sa Pinas, para makita ang family. With 2 very young kids, mukhang matinding adjustment ang need, specially sa travel options.

And may nakapag apply na ba at positive response from employer in AU while still waiting visa grant?

    TIA mga ka gapo

On driving --- option ko rin mag driving lessons dito sa SG late last year (just after getting invited ko lang naisipan kasi di naman natin need dito sa SG mag drive, ganda ganda ng transport system. sa Pinas naman, never saw the need as well bukod sa lala ng traffic dun, kasi in general cars for me are just liability at the end of the day), kaya lang based sa research ko mahirap maka kuha ng schedule sa mga sessions. e need mo tapusin yung sessions with an instructor, and some people said it can take more than 6mos to finish everything due schedule scarcity (yes, marami nagaaral mag drive sa SG apparently).

So I just cancelled the plans, and thinking of doing it in Oz from scratch. Gives me anxiety sometimes, haha, but oh well guess it's inevitable once we move there.

Kung hindi ka nagmamadali, and you have the luxury and patience to finish it even beyond 6mos, then I suggest try it out. Find a good driving school.

On rent and BM --- sobrang lala nga ng rental market dito sa SG ngayon. But there is a similar situation in Oz as well. So, you need to review your options carefully. Wala ako mabibigay na advice pano maghanap ng bahay na mabilis while offshore, but you can read some of the comments from the other peeps here regarding that.

On bringing the whole family with you right away --- ikaw lang makakasagot nyan haha. May enough budget ba for the whole family to sustain your needs while finding a job? May bahay na ba na matitirhan that can accommodate everyone? Again, review your situation.

On finding a job while offshore and waiting for grant --- merong nagcomment dito na ginawa na nila yan, and there are companies contacting them and willing to wait / consider them after the visa grant. So, you can surely try that route. Be transparent with the companies you are eyeing for.

Hi, we had ours done in Jurong (beside Jcube) - Hoh Law and Associates as this was the most convenient place for my Ex-boss. For the SD alone, about 200 plus binayaran ko. I need to do it in SG kasi ex-boss ko yung mag SD for my COE.

The SD was done in 15mins? tapos collect after few days.

The rest of the docs, like, my OWN stat doc, I had it done sa pinas with our local "Notary Public". Other docs din na need ko pa notary like Certified true copy sa pinas ko na ginawa.

HTH. So far we got ours positively assessed.

Mag-email ka sa IRAS, Summary of contribution for NRIC: XXXXX

Same sa POSB, nag email ako online sa Digibot, parang nabulungan ng anghel yung service desk, binigay lahat ng request kong month/year bank reports kahit more than 7 years na for free.
