Hi! I'm planning to take PTE Academic next month. Thanks sa mga test takers dito na nag share ng tips! I'm using APE Uni for review and struggle lang talaga ko sa speaking.

Question: meron na bang nakapag-take ng exam doon sa MISNet Education Center sa Valero?

Just be confident, speak and pronounce the words clearly. Kahit medyo malakas salita mo para mas malinaw. Wag pagdikitin words mo when speaking. Basta correct pronunciation ok na, di na need na tunog mayaman chos.

For read aloud, use the given time to read silently. Prepare your describe image etc templates sa bibigay na laminated paper if mahina memory like me. Then describe image and retell lecture will be like reading from teleprompter hehehe. Remove the thinking ika nga and make it more natural

Hope you will get your desired score.

Sa actual na exam ba pag naubusan ng oras sa isang section automatic magclose or submit na siya? or continue pa din siya until matapos lahat ng items?

that time inask ko, pede naman inext after. (i can finish faster kasi sa read aloud so gusto ko agad i next.)

just got my PTE result after 4 days of waiting..nabitin ako sa reading naubusan ako actually ng oras sa second part ng exam (reading)..sayang pero ganun talaga..

Pwede na din kaya ito maglog ng EOI or wait muna para maging superior?...any suggestion?

will try to review ulit 4 days lng kc ang naging preparation kala ko aabot bago mag July 1..both kami ng wife ko nagexam..

Depende sayo kung gusto mong mag EOI na for 189. Ok lang rin naman kung aim mo muna yung Superior habang hindi pa rin naman bukas ang mga states for 190 (assuming you are aiming for that as well).

Recently passed the PTE Exam with superior marks last night!
sharing some tips po and hope it will help

Speaking:
Read aloud- Binasa ko lang in moderate pitch yung passage, wag trying hard at super loud kase marerecognize naman agad ng AI yun even with a mask. Medyo mas mataas lang ng onti sa normal tone ng voice mo, it will do the job basta fluent ka lang. Nagstutter ako ng onti sa last part pero 90 naman po ako speaking
Repeat Sentence - Luckily, maiikli yung sentence sa real exam compared sa nasa apeuni. Gaya ng mga namention dito. Apeuni lang din gamit ko na app. Everyday ko piniplay yung mp3 na repeat sentence sa apeuni, muscle memory nadin. Yung last 2 questions ata di ko nacomplete. Thankyou sa tips na nabasa ko dito:)
DI- Apeuni na template po mixed with @steven template ginamit ko then highest and lowest lang plagi

di ko po ginamit yung jimmysem for DI/RL di ako confident masyado sa template. Kahit di important yung content mas gusto ko padin may sense sinasabe ko haha. depende po sainyo, any template will do naman siguro basta kung saan kayo comfortable

Writing
SWT- Albeit; but; therefore ginamit ko po, beware sa correct spelling po
WE : eto talaga! jimmysem template ang pinakamadali for me imemorize. Make sure lang na connected sa template yung thought ng question. Modify nyo if kailangan but be careful sa grammar kase malaki points po ang grammar and spelling din Everyday ko tinatype and 2 weeks before exam 1 essay per day ginagawa ko

Reading
RW FIB and R FIB- dito ako nahirapan talaga practice lang apeuni. Buti di masyado mahirap yung napunta sakin sa exam, nagkulang lang talaga ako sa time nung last part sa R FIB kaya di ko masyado nareview na yung sagot. Helpful tips yung kay anusha and monipte sa youtube:)
RO- again pinakamahirap for me. Practice lang guys haha E2 PTE and anusha very helpful:)
basta nakuha nyo na yung independent sentence, madali nalang connect connect yung mga susunod.
Intindihin lang ng mabuti yung thought ng sentence.
MCQ Single/Multiple- skim reading lang ginawa ko. Be time conscious kase baka magkulang kayo time sa RFIB, mas importante yun gaya ng nangyare sakin na di ko na nareview sagot kase i only had less than a minute nun tapos may isang MCQ single pa akong tira. Super nagmadali na ako huhu.

Listening
SST- Anusha template po gamit ko:)
MCMA- Attentive lang talaga dapat. wag masyado mag spend ng time dito kase may mas importante sa last part which is WFD:)
FITB- derecho na ako nag ttype sa keyboard. use TAB key para mas madali mag proceed sa next blank. kahit mali spelling type nyo lang. after ng audio saka nyo correct
HCS, MCSA, SMW- Attentive lang tapos practice kayo na madali pag pick nyo sa sinasabe sa audio. dont spend too much time din dito.
HIC- again, listening attentively is the keyy. follow nyo lang ng cursor yung sinasabe para madali nyo mapick up yung incorrect words:)
WFD- may 4 mins pa akong tira which is sufficient naman, thank you Lord. Derecho na sa keyboard pag type kahit mali spelling correct nyo nalang after. Dapat maperfect din to kase laki ng points, may isang word ata akong na omit sa last question hehe.

Watch lecture videos of JImmysem, moni PTE, E2PTE,anusha and skills PTE academic on YT. Super helpful!
naka 10 na mock test din ako sa apeuni haha if everyday mock exam 2weeks before PTE kaya much better.

Nakakakaba environment pag pasok nyo ng pearson, very strict sila kaya BE PREPARED AND BE THERE AS EARLY AS YOU CAN. 5pm exam ko pero dumating ako 4pm nabigla ako kase pagdating ko pwede na pala mag start agad agad and may mga nauna na sakin haha.
Follow every instruction that will be given carefully. Walang break kaya better if mag c.r na kayo hehe.
Wag papadala sa kaba, labanan nyoooo haha. Legit na nakakadagdag sa kaba yung environment sa pearson pero need maging mentally alert specially speaking yung pinakunang task

Be yourself, Stand on your feet with confidence and most importantly, PRAY PRAY PRAYY.
Ask God to give you wisdom and trust na kung anong pinag aralan mo is maabsorb mo on the day of the exam. Akala mo di mo kaya, daming doubts but mashoschock kanlang na all that youve studied will flow naturally habang nag eexam ka

Yung anusha templates and lecture videos yun ba yung sa milestone study?

Hi!! I took my PTE exam last June 2023 and so happy for get 90 overall. Malaki ang naging tulong sa akin ng group na ito sa tips and templates. I feel so grateful at dahil jan I want to give back and share my experience sa pagkuha ng PTE exam hoping it would help somebody here (a lurker maybe? kasi lurker lang din ako dito last month)

Here are some stuff I want to share:
1. I downloaded APEUni pero hindi ako bumili ng package. I used this to practice read aloud & repeat sentences. At first talaga lagi ako nabubulol and grateful na nagppogress ako basta practice lang. Dumating pa ako sa point na nag practice ako ng tongue twister hehe. Also used this para reviewhin kung papano gawin yung ibang tasks just to manage my expectation.
2. I watched Jimmysem's yt videos and Language Academy PTE videos. Used their templates for Essay, DI, RL
3. I saw this table somewhere in this forum (hindi ko sya ma upload) kung anong tasks ang need ko i-focus na may highest percentage ng impact sa overall score. Will share here the tasks to focus in order: Repeat Sentences, Write from Dictation, R&W FIB, Read aloud, Summarize spoken text, Describe image, Re-tell lecture, Summarize written text, Highlight incorrect words, R FIB, L FIB, Essay, Ans short question.. I'm not saying na yung ibang hindi ko na mention dito ay hindi mo na kailangan pag aralan but it would help kahit daanan mo lang para during exam hindi ka magugulat kung ano yung dapat na gawin (just to manage your expectation.
4. Mabilis yung transition ng ibang task to another task so it would help talaga na mentally prepared ka at hindi mag rattle once nag shift na.
5. Don't lose hope lalo na pag nabubulol or nag stutter ka sa read aloud at repeat sentences! Go lang! Just do your best! Ako honestly, ilan beses nag pause but still managed to get 90 sa lahat.
6. Most Importantly, PRAY!!!

Hi guys, just wanted to share my experience.

May - 2 weeks review, probably 2-3 hrs per day. Hndi k pa gngmit si APEUni that time. My iniskip akong 1 item sa RS as in walang tumatak s mind k s haba ng sentence. No enough rest dn, same day ang exam and family trip. Siguro ngmdali dn ako msyado, akala ko yung adrenaline n my flight that night is mkkhelp pra mas mgng active yung mind ko.
June - Super busy sa work but same I tried to spend 2-3 days per day pa dn. Tnry ko na eexplore si APEUni pero hndi k p dn gnmit ung template pra s writing. Nagrreview ako khit bukas n yung exam, tingin ko napagod ako msyado.
July - I did use na ung template sa writing, busy p dn s work but I made sure na nasa mood ako mgtake ng exam and my enough rest and tulog na this time. Hndi na ko ngreview msyado 2 days before the exam.

I guess gsto k lng ishare na important ang enough rest and tulog plus alam ntng nasa mood n tlga tayo mgexam. I'm truly grateful sa lhat ng tips s thread n to! I won't share any tips na kasi hlos nshare n ng lht dito. Thanks everyone!

Hi, Meron pa din po ba dito na gumamit po ng jimmysem template na nag 90 po ang score.
Planning po na magretake para maging superior ang score.
any tips din po para mapataas ang reading and writing?

Hello! I got 90 on my PTE exam today. Thank you all for sharing your study plans, techniques and tips.

During the exam madami ako unsure lalo na sa RS pero dinerecho ko lang ang sentence and naging mindful sa fluency ko.

Used APEUNI as main study tool
Sa DI, RL jimmysem template worked for me.
For SWT, albeit; but, ; therefore, ginamit ko
Sa essay I used yun sa e2 language understanding the form rather than memorizing a template.

I took the exam sa bagong pearson test center MISNET, for me location is accessible few mins walk lang from PBcOM. Bago pa ang test center, lima lang kami nag test per batch.

You need to bring a spare valid id kasi need mo ng isa pang id na isusurrender sa lobby.

Since bago un exam center, napakalamig ng aircon. The test proctors even told us na kung masyado na malamig raise hands lang and papatayin nila muna ang ac. So if may chance kayo to wear warm clothes do it.

I had my PTE exam today and got really low score. Sa writing lang ako naka high score haha i did not expect na napaka hirap for me. I did not use any templates also and APE uni rin di ako nag invest. E2 language lang ung basis ko and only had a week to prepare.

I am back reading lahat ng tips dito i just recently joined here and marami pala reference.

As per my experience today, altho di ko alam if subjective medyo di talaga audible ung mga lecture sa listening. Kaya medyo nahirapan ako i-comprehend din. And speaking i believe i did well naman, kasi wala naman ako mali specially RA and DI, RL di nga din ako nag overtime. Pero still got a low score. Actually napansin ko na sya while checking the mic medyo “bingi” ung sound pero continue ko na lang din thinking na ganun talaga sya. Haha. May nakapag try na ba dito to request technical review? Is it worth it ba? Or retake na lang only option? Haha

Hi, good to hear na okay pa din pa din si jimmysem na template. Madami kasing feedback na low scores na ang nakuha nila mula June 23.

I was planning to retake para mahit ang superior. Sa MISNET po ilan max po sa room?

Sa mga nakapag-exam na po sa test center, kumusta po yung environment?
Tahimik lang po ba yung environment or medyo maingay due to "read aloud" section na may mga kasabay?

Medyo not performing well ako kapag may maingay sa paligid. So dapat magpractice ako sa maingay if that's the case

Maingay tlaga sya. Pero, ang pwede mo gawin sa gabi ibook yung sched(7:15) mo. D sya masyado maraming nag tatake compara sa umaga, tas agahan mo tlaga(mga 6 dun kna) para ikaw yung una mkapasok at room at mkapag umpisa na sa Speaking module.

Kahit anong module ba na comfy ka, pwede mo umpisahan or may sequence talaga ng module na need sundin po?

Natapos din ako sa exam! I got 84 (S- 72 , R - 86, L - 85, W- 90) I took the test at MISNet. Konti lang kami hehe.

Mga nagwork for me:

APEUni
Milestone Study (SWT, DI, RL)
Language Academy (SWT)
Headset with inline microphone (ok naman yung logitech H111 for practice)

Yung essay ko hindi galing sa kanila yung template and tbh hindi ko naman nagamit yung buong template. Yung results ko is halos same lang sa nakukuha kong results sa APEUni. Mahina talaga ko sa speaking and may halo na rin panic kasi hindi ko nasundan masyado yung repeat sentence.

May dalawang bagong test centres: MISNet and Pearson Temporary Test Center - ACE. Lahat sila sa Makati area din. And yung Ace, I think may weekends. I suggest kung talagang feel mo na mahihirapan ka sa maingay na environment, magbook ka doon sa mga bagong centers. Problema ko din yung maingay kasi mabilis ako ma-distract pero sinwerte ako kasi nag open na ng new test centers noong nagbook ako. So I suggest na avoid mo yung Trident test center.
