Thanks for all the comments! :D

Based on our experience mas mura ang pr application sa canada.

Lumalabas sa study na mas nagiging successful mga immigrants ng australia (in terms of employment) for a number of reasons. Economy wise, same lng dw ung dalawa. Ang pinagka iba ung immigration process nla. Ang mga natatandaan ko : Mas pinapaboran kc ng australia mga batang immigrants;unlike sa canada na available agad ang mga social benefits sa pr visa,sa australia may waiting period pa for some benefits; and majority ng mga immigrants sa OZ eh under skilled stream.

    @LokiJr thanks!

meron ba someone who could share a personal experience sana....just to have an idea..

right now kc, we are mostly bound for Canada but eventually nasa plan namin to go to Australia. I was invited last Feb 18 pero d ko pa sya nilolodge kc we're contemplating pa kung ilodge na ba or idelay muna.

kelangan ko cguro ng konting enlightenment....hehehe

I am torn between Australia and Canada. Slightly gusto ko lang Canada, i really dont know why. Maganda rin talaga yung lugar and benefits.

@vhoythoy same tyo ng situation and same din tyo ng arguments...hehe. Ang maganda kc sa CA malapit sya sa maraming lugar like US at Caribbean, gusto ko din kc mapuntahan un mga un eh. Kaso ang layo sa pinas. At hindi rin ako sure kung magkakaroon ako ng professional growth dun.based kc sa mga naikwento sa kin, mataas standards ng CA,maraming professional na nag end up as taxi driver, delivery boy, etc. Sa oz nmn kahit papano recognized degree natin at experience. I am a cpa here sa pinas pero ngeexpect nko na i might do cashiering job in CA,i.e. Kung seswertihin.

So the bottom line is hirap pumili. Its like choosing between two loves of your life. LOL

apply on one first.. check mo kung magiging okay ang buhay mo for 2-3 years..

    problem solved! ;)

new CA immigration ruling will take effect this May but processing won't be as fast as AU..like sa AU, mas gusto nila young immigrants..

i have a colleague who applied for CA last 2007 but until now wala pa result..hanggang sa nafreeze ung FSW scheme ng CA..haaaay..sayang ung oras..

I've got a job offer in Ontario, Canada days before i about to send my documents to Vetassess. Right now they are still processing my LMO. It might takes several months pa siguro. It will be a Senior audit job in one of Chartered & Financial Planning firm there. I don't need show money anymore and will not start from scratch but they will bond me for several years. My plan is to apply for FSW or provincial nominee (whichever is applicable) after a year with help of my potential employer. And then eventually, Canadian citizenship. Also, I will start my Chartered Accountants certification journey right after i landed. I already sent my applications to ICA Ontario and they have approved it.

Weather is a less of my concerns as they have heating equipments and proper clothing there.

But right now, until nasa Canada or Australia na talaga ako, bukas parin ako sa mga options. Marami pa rin pwedeng mangyari.

Not yet. My employer only started to apply on Canadian Gov't for my LMO (Labour Market Opinion) last week. I need that plus the signed job offer before i can proceed with Temporary work permit visa processing dito sa Canada sa Singapore. It will take several months, hirap talaga pag hindi PR. hahaha

Pero this coming May 2013 daw mag start maging mabilis for FSW, sabi lang =)

@vhoythoy - congratulations on your job offer.. :)

Thing you have to take note though that iyan para din yang Singapore wherein hindi ka PR diyan and your stay is still at the hands of your employer. Yeah, pwede mag-apply as PR eventually but the risk is still there. And I dunno if may option ka to bring your family - I remember kasi before na you are home sick sa Singapore as your family is in the Philippines?

Anyway, I think you have considered this factor naman din cguro so I wish you luck...

Yup, sinigurado ko yun hehe. Pwede ko na isama wife at baby ko kahit temporary work permit muna sa Canada and my wife can work as well. Applying for PR under work permit have much higher chance na maapprove kesa walang arranged employment. Mas madali na rin sa akin kasi may Arranged employment na ako and supported ako ng employer they want to hire me in long term and accountant is belong to high level skillset so mataas talaga ang chance. All i need is to work hard and adopt my life there or else everything will be screwed.

My boss promised me to help all the way to PR and Citizenship. He's originally a Malaysian who succeed in Canada. May mga ilan syang businesses dun and also Financial author. Sana maging ok ang lahat, i will work my ass off. Its for my family.

Yup i'm still open for Australia. Ready na rin documents ko sa OZ. My application for Canada is still subject for several approval and visa application.

Mas appealing sa akin ang Australia kaysa sa SG at CA kasi at least alam mo lahat ng tao dun makakausap mo ng English...Sa Singapore, whether you like to admit it or not, mas panatag mga tao dun kung marunong ka mag Cantonese...Same dilemma with Canada, kailangan marunong ka magFrench

Australia is equally good.

@vhoythoy congrats! you were lucky to be offered a senior audit position. my husband naman was offered a QA technician position though ME sya dito. medyo matagal nga lang processing nila, this january lang na approve work permit nya eh august 2012 pa nya na file. we applied na din for a CA PR last december.

nwei, good luck n lang sa tin kung san man tayo mapadpad...we are still holding on pa din sa australian dream namin for the primary reason na malapit sya sa pinas and madami pa kami babalikan dun.

well sa akin..i am settled here in aussie but planning to retired in phil...i have some uncle's and aunties who migrated in U.S b4 but now they are already in the Phil...for a reasons that they are still want philppines despite the odd..as for economy's our economy is doing good now even if it is small but the good thing is it's alreDy improving but we can admit that it is not a midnight solution for our economy , changes are the masses cannot feel but in the long run they can be able to feel that because it is the indicator of the foreign investor who want to invest in our country and to give employment to our country men...is this bullish in our goverment and public bureucrat's will continue? it's defends for the people who vote for their elected officials, if they will tempted to vote for trapo because he/she is very good in dancing during election campaign then we have a problem..though,every person have different view relating to the situation of our country but for me i am still proud of being filipino despite pacquio will win or not because without the Phil i won't be here in ausie...living in democratic institution can give us two sides of ugly and good sides but at the end of the day we will be the one to decide and contribute for the success of our nation building.......

    nothing can compare our home..

if i were you if u'r still have the capacity and the courage to go to any country and you're not ready to retire better try to go for it, try for a new adventure in life. but if you're contented in life and ready to have your own business better stay sa atin... kasi ang buhat sa atin walang kapantay as long as stable ka...

Bai - case to case basis din...

To be honest, there are a lot of people I know who would gladly give up a stable career here in the Phils just so that they can move to another country albeit start all over again.

Their main motivation as per those who I know who did this move - a better future for their kids. They probably are one of those people who have grown tired of giving "inang bayan" a chance... :)

For me it's how you look or analyze the situation.,i have friends in the philippines who are financially inclined and they want to go here in australia for the reason's that in case what will happen to their business or it won't prosper they have still a back up plan which is in abroad, some is for adventure only because they say, they heard that life in abroad is good and etc.,but in my own believe our country still have hope, because if we are living in sudan or in any other parts of Africa that civil war is in a way of life or to kill is a matter of survival and waiting for a food coming from a U.N sguro i can say that it's a hopeless anymore...even here in aussie i heard my aussie friends lambasting the goverment for the education, corruption and among others and when i ask them if they will be given a changes which country they will like to live, most of them would say in the U.S and europe. Most of the filipino that i talked who already spend half of their live's here in aussie that they still want's to go back in the Philippines for a reason's that it is still different in our country and one of them which i ask how they feel to our country anymore, then he told me..it's a good news to know that our country is moving and about the corruption then he told me there is no country exempted in corruption even here in Aust it is still exist...then he told me one thing good in our country is our people is learn to live without so much leaning in our gov't unlike here.. but also there are some good and bad things to live in our country and even here it is a matter of how you react at the end of the day...just my insights...

yeah it is case to case basis, then honestly we're one of those family who moved here cuz my parents wants us to have a better future, for them our country is not stable. on my side as I see it, if you only have that enough fundings sa atin and you just look for "discarte" para maka lumago ang fundings mo it is ok... come to think of it, if all people think that way like giving a chance for our country, why is it those people who owned some small business are still there and still surviving the odds in our country...

    :)

    ditto!

Youth only comes once so have all the adventure you want while you can... and dont afraid to take risks... its not about winning or losing. its about making the right decision. its about how you play the game of life....

you just have to look sa ratio ng mga mahirap n nkaahon over total population & you'll see ang problema is systemic, we're still an oligarch country. hihintayin ko pa ba maayos yun? I don't want to play in a game where I don't have a chance of winning.

Everyone has different reasons why they decided to leave home (Pinas) but at the end of the day, most of us (if not all) still dreaming of coming back to Phils. There is really patriotism inside our hearts even though most of the time, we seems to brushed it aside (senti mode). God Bless to all and have a wonderful day ahead.
