My heart is full of gratitude and peace.

Today my Partner and I received our 189 visa grant, thank you Lord for answering our prayers.

It has been a rather long journey, initially lodged our first EOI through our agent Respall way back in 2018, had several documents and EOIs expired, nonetheless we kept at it. Covid happened, we then decided to take a gamble and come to AU as student visa holders (subclass 500), I strategically chose to do Masters so that my Partner could work full time, while I myself work part time.

It was a struggle at first, relocating with all our savings, using it for Tuition Fees and daily cost of living, but we kept praying. My partner soon got a full time job doing the same thing she did in the PH, I managed to get a part time retail job, managed to get High Distinction in all of my subjects so far, and later on got a decent flexible/ full time job (adjusts to adhere to work limits) in a government owned company as a Cyber Security Professional, and kept praying for the long awaited PR grant.

Upon receiving the grant, it feels so surreal, looking back, it was all worth it! Keep the faith alive and know that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Enjoy the journey, upon reaching the goal, you would soon discover that yet another journey would begin to unfold before your eyes.

Hello po...sa mga nakatanggap na po ng PR grant...ilang araw...o lingggo...o buwan...ang ibinigay sa inyo para makapag Big Move or makapunta ng AU? Totoo po ba na karaniwan na naka-rely ang date na binibigay ng AU sa unang papeles na mag e expire na ni-submit natin upon visa application? Salamat po sa sasagot.

Sakin, 1 year yung allotted. So hanggang Dec 2024. May nabasa nga ako before na depende daw yun sa docs, pero maeexpire na yung medical ko at nbi clearance by January next year.
