I got my visa grant last friday dec 15 and dun sa dates: FOR FIRST ENTRY, ARRIVE BY: DECEMBER 19,2023 which is today. all this time i was under the impression na it is the EARLIEST date i should go there but found out others theirs is like 1 year or even 6 mos ung date from the grant while sakin 4 days lang.

Yes, it's allowed. Just be mindful of the duration you are outside of Australia, kasi if it's quite long it will affect your residency count (may residency requirement na need mo mafulfil para maging eligible ka to apply for citizenship). Just to share, a few weeks ago I followed up our application, ang sabi nila is nasa August applications pa lang yung pinoprocess nila.
I called again this week and told them I needed the Medicare number for our private inaurance. Ayun, naprocess na nung agent pero it took 2.5 hours on the phone (5 kasi kami in the application).

It'll depend on your plans and preferences, like do you prefer to dine out to fancy restos, or are you more frugal, do you intend to go to tourist spots with entry fees, and so on. But for me I budgeted at least 10K PHP per day—I think that's a safe minimum.
