hello, checking if it's possible po bang makapag apply ng 491 family sponsored visa if my brother ako na 189-PR sa Australia pero not living in regional areas since he's currently in the city. thank you!

No. May listed suburb regions/post codes na eligible for 491. Ipapaindicate nila yun sa EOI yung postal code.

    here you go URL: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/working-in-australia/skill-occupation-list/regional-postcodes

    as an example screenshot:

    all the best!

    God Bless!

Question po, and understanding ko po based sa DYOR, if residing un relative sa designated regional areas based sa post code list ng Category 2 and 3, pwede na po applyan, right? salamat po sa sagot!

Yes, I think pwede dapat. Adelaide and Perth for example are capital cities pero considered as Regional Area. Saan ba yung relatives mo?

6147 po un postcode nya sa WA, then currently handling 189 visa sya.

6147 postcode as per below screenshot:

is part of Cities and major regional centres for WA, so unfortunately, di pwede 491 family sponsored for it...

    cheers!

    all the best!

    God Bless!

pa-correct po, when i clicked the list of postcodes na available and applies to 491, meaning eligible un category 2 and 3 as long as mentioned sya sa list per state.

lahat ng nakalista sa designated postcode page is eligible for 491 family. Wag nyo isipin yung category 2 or category 3 pag 491 FS, it's all the same na pag dyan nakatira ang relative, pwede sila magsponsor ng 491 for you.
Another check na mangyayari dyan is if you enter a postcode in your EOI that is not regional, di magpproceed. So pag nagproceed yan meaning pwede ang postcode.

The entire state of WA is considered a regional area. I held a 491 Family and my sponsor is my uncle here in WA. Take it from my experience.

Good Day po Sir/Ma'am. I'm also applying po for WA Visa 491, ask ko lang sana po ano ung ni-require from your sponsor when you were invited? Would just like to be prepared if ever. Thank you!

I submitted my uncle's passport, birth cert to show na tito ko sya (mom's brother) and also bills like internet/energy showing na regional address sya. Madali nalang to, don't worry about this. Getting the invite is the bigger problem. Cheers!

kudos dito sir/mam! maraming salamat and hoping na mapasama na sa 1st week of Aug na invite. 😁

The invites of 491 Family is on the same time as the 189 invites. Basically ang nangyayari dyan is kung may matira sa 189, yun yung ma aallot for 491. Kaya konti nalang ang 491 family invites the last couple years kasi lahat nauubos sa 189.

    All the best!

Kpg b ang nkalagay s cert (diploma) is Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering ano po ang tama ilagay, bachelor degree (other) or bachelor degree in science? Ang nilagay ko kc Bachelor Degree (other) kc mgkaiba un s bachelor degree in science. Thanks

And also, another question lang po just to make sure, my husband earned degree in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. We used the option sa educ history na "bachelor degree in science, business, or technology" is this correct? or shall we use the other option na "bachelor's degree others"?

    Salamat po!! :)

Wag kayo magpapaniwala masyado sa FB, best to always do your own research kasi usually walang alam mga tao dun.

Ok na yang pinili nyong option for the bachelors.

Bachelor in Science. Yung Other is usually for Bachelor of Arts.

    Thank you po for replying.

We missed to put the middle name in EOI and visa lodgement where eventually we corrected it in the Immi account as notification of incorrect answer.

In AU daw, yung middle name pede ilagay sa first name. Meron din mga granted na, di naka indicate ang middle name and no issues.

Thank you po, best cguro ilagay n lng pra safe. In PTE dn ang new rule is ilagay ang middle name sa given name.

Ask ko lang po if it's wise to submit an EOI for Visa 491 (WA) for both the Family Sponsored and State/Territory Sponsored? Nag-submit na po ako ng EOI for 491 FS, I'm thinking if okay na ba yun or should I submit another EOI for the State/Territory? Thank you!

Hello Question po. Mas prefer bang magkahiwalay ung EOI ng 491 and 190? like magkaibang EOI ID? ano pinagkaiba nia dun sa isang EOI ID pero nandun na ung 190 & 491?

This was what I did with my EOIs for NSW and VIC. If I remember correctly, last FY, VIC only allows 1 ROI. So you need to choose which subclass you hope to be nominated for either 190 or 491 lang. As for NSW, hiniwalay ko nalang din since medyo maarte sila haha.

For 190 and 491, depende kasi sa state yung rules. Pag sinabi nila na 190 lang ang nasa EOI dapat, then just do that. Kahit 491 dapat hindi selected.

Then in general, mas madali rin kasi mag track ng EOI kung hiwa-hiwalay. Mas mahirap lang mag submit kasi marami at paulit ulit yung proseso. Tapos per state pa. But it is what it is.

Just follow the state rules, you'll be good.

Thank you po

ganto ung 190 & 491 ko. actually then nakaseparate ang 189.

Thank you sa info. copy gawa na lang din ako ng new. un lang nga. parang mamomove na naman ung days/months since kakagawa lang ng EOI. :(

Yes may bearing din ang date of effect. I can only say this for NSW kasi dalawa 190 EOIs ko nun haha. Yung mas lumang EOI ang nainvite.

Hello. old member na ko dito sa forum but needed to create a new account kasi di ko maalala password ko sa unang account. haha.

Anyways, may tanong lang ako about 190 and 491.

I saw this from WA portal, tanong ko lang kung applicable din ba to sa NSW? how about other states?

Generally, states handle their own 190 and 491 selection so no, it does not necessarily mean this applies to NSW or any other states. You have to go to their web portal as well to check their own rules. Pwedeng same, pwedeng hindi.

My concern is that, if I have EOIs for 190NSW and 491NSW, kung makareceive ba ako ng invite, will it also be automatically fall into 491? Katulad ng rules ni WA?

Tried asking here first sa forum, bakasakaling may naka experience or have any information. hehe. But anyways, I will look into the states portal also.

    Salamat!

Yes, una, check their website for their specific rules on invitation priority in relation to the subclass. Pangalawa, kung wala sa website na malinaw na sagot, just lodge EOIs for both subclasses. Whichever invite comes first then you'll know the answer.

But if I remembered correctly, 491 is administered by the RDAs for NSW. Unlike 190, it's managed by the state itself. So, in my opinion, hiwalay yung criteria for judging nyan. Kaya walang silo/funnel/auto-select for 491 na tulad ng WA. I could be wrong.

Sa VIC naman kasi, sobrang linaw, you can only choose 190 or 491. Isa lang talaga, kasi yung ROI can only be submitted for either one.

So yeah, best to check their website. Usually naman pag wala sa website, most probably wala ganong rule. Just lodge for both subclasses. :)

HAHAHA! Registration of Interest. Online form ito na iffill out mo per State (na meron).
Tapos ililink mo dun EOI number mo from Skillselect.

Share ko lang I have 10+ EOIs din nung time na waiting ako for an invite. It will help kung may tracker ka.
Ako may excel file talaga andoon details and all. May label ano yung expiring at ano yung prio/non-priority EOI.

I know may mga specifics per state and unfortunately hindi ko pa sia narerereview. wala naman ako specific state na gusto ok sakin kahit saan. Tama po ba to.

    189 - 1 EOI (no question)

    VIC
190 OR 491. Need to choose 1 which means only 1 EOI need to submit.

    QLD
190 OR 491. Need to choose 1 which means only 1 EOI need to submit.

    TAS, WA, NSW, SA
    Separate EOI (190 & 491) which means I need 8 EOI's.

    Pasensya na hilo lang tlga.

    Meron din NT and ACT

Some states also needs ROI that will generally link your EOI .

To know more about that- check the particular state website , more than the forum sharing , you need to do a back up research against sa latest info para you have a solid foundation. GOOD LUCK 🤞🏼

Ano po ung ROI? return of investment kasi naiisip ko nasure akong mali hahaha

:) thank you!
