If everyone subscribes to “take NAATI” for example, in the Game Theory perspective - the efforts of all participants is put into waste - all will have access to 5 points ,everyone is in the same playing field and minimum cut off points increases by 5 points.
The only thing why NAATI works is because not all is following the notion “ take NAATI” to maximise your points ,for some it works for them, for some it doesn’t -to get an invitation.

Well i believe NAATI worked for me , how about you mate?
If you started your migration journey earlier than now, will it be easier then? No PTE to full marks ,no maximising point dilemma ,as now it begins to be the norm.

Mga kabayan, patulong po. May pre-invite ako from VIC. Pero di ko mai-upload o mai-attach yung documents or files sa live in melbourne website. I tried in google chrome browser many times but no success. Ano po kaya problema? Monday to Friday lang ba pwede mag upload ng files sa website nila? Please help. Salamat po.

MIA conducted a webinar for agents regarding the NSW migration program yesterday and

Snippets of an exciting year are ahead of us!

190 nomination is very similar to last year - they will prioritize sectors in the same quadrant- Construction and Trades, Health, Education and ICT with residence eligibility requirements prioritizing those with high points in experience, English skills and belonging to priority sectors.

The difference is a new to-be-published NSW Skills List 2024-2025 which is grouped into the first 4 digits of the ANZCO code, occupations which fall under this occupation group will be ranked accordingly.

491 nomination is very generous this FY in which there will be 3 Pathways -

Pathway 1 -for those working in the regional NSW, no need to live in regional NSW, they can directly apply and have TSMIT concessions (10%)

Pathway 2 -by invitation pathway, meet residency requirements same as last year can nominate occupations which are in the NSW Skills List

Pathway 3- is reintroduced for NSW regional graduates who graduated in the previous 24 months (2 years) of graduation in which applicants can apply directly for those graduates with relevant qualifications to their nominated occupations.

No ROIs have been announced so far for Pathway 3, so wait for the website refresh, program will only open in October 2024 and will continue to invite till June 25 of the FY.

Below is the summary of the requirements, offical and detailed requirements will be published soon on NSW Migration website.

𝐒𝐂 𝟏𝟗𝟎:

Most of the requirements are similar to last FY.

𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭:

Ensure you are either currently residing:

in NSW and have continuously resided in NSW for a minimum period of six months; or

offshore and have continuously resided offshore for a minimum period of six months

NSW skill lists, which will be soon published on their website.

𝐒𝐜 𝟒𝟗𝟏:

Total of 3 streams;

Pathway 1:

Apply directly to Investment NSW if you have an established work history with a regional NSW-based employer.

6 month work exp in nominated or closely related occupation with a regional NSW employer

TSMIT concessions of upto 10% will be allowed

Few more concessions will be allowed when compared to last year

Pathway 2:

Invitation by NSW migration which is similar to last year

Occupation should be present on NSW skills list

Pathway 3:

Regional NSW Graduates

This stream is for applicants who have finished their studies from a regional NSW institution in last 24 months

Applicants must claim 5 points under regional study in their EOI.

Hello po, need your help po. Question lang if may bago po akong work, so yung pag update ko po sa EOI is until last day ko from that company? Pero based sa Skills Assessment ko po hindi po buong experience ko sa company na yun ang na-assess.

Ex. Assessed skills - Jan 2019 to Aug 2023, but last day is Sept 2024.
So sa EOI pwede ko po ba ilagay na na Jan 2019 to Sept 2024 and related sa nominated occupation?

Or kung ano lang yung dates sa skills assessed kahit nominated po yung experience ko sa company na yun is until Aug 2023 lang po ba? Ayoko po kasi mag assume at baka magkamali ako

So yung case ng mga ECE na napunta sa IT field, they may now claim more points for their employment as long as deemed related to nominated anzsco noh? (Of course with supporting evidence). Tama ba?

Hi po, diba ever since yung mga deducted years hindi sinasama to claim points? sample: 8 years experience ko. claim only 6 years kasi deducted ni VETASSES ng 2 years. I've lodged my EOI last year sa lahat ng states and not claiming the 8 years. Tama po ba?

In my view still under the documents that they will look into during nomination, only this time employment claims can be extended on experience deducted for example by ACS or Vetassess . Madami makikinabang sa changes dahil naka align sila sa DHA policy.

I was going to ask this exact thing. Medyo di ko kasi alam ano ang gagawin haha need your opinion guys, so here's my situation:

I'm currently based in Wagga on a 482 visa. Been living and working here as an engineer for a year and half.

189, NSW 190 - have submitted EOIs for these kaso i've realized recently na wala akong RSEA from EA, yung meron lang ako is yung skills assessment. So following yung skilled employment definition if EA has deemed my education as equivalent to bachelor's degree, any employment i had na related to the nominated occupation should be considered skilled employment di ba? pinag iisipan ko kasi kumuha RSEA pero baka unnecessary expense na sya. Mahirap ang buhay haha

NSW 491 - currently eligible for this na since been in nsw for more than 6mos, also in the eligibility criteria wala naman sabi na skilled employment but just as long as may skills assessment. However, again, dineprioritize ko to because mas okay if PR na ang jump ko after 482.

186 TRT - i have 6mos to go pa with my current employer to be eligible for this. Have talked to our GM and willing naman sya to sponsor me for 186. However, may isa pa akong need kausapin, yung boss ng GM namin haha na medyo complicated but is actually my boss back sa pinas. I think naman ookay sya haha sa 186 TRT, di ko alam if need ko din ng RSEA.

So ano ang dapat kong ipursue? iniisip ko since 6mos to go pa for 186, i'll try my luck na lang din muna sa 189 and 190 --- pero okay lang ba di nako mag apply for RSEA? If come April and all stars align and okay naman ako for 186 TRT, di ko pa din ba need RSEA? Ito na kasi ang pupush ko. Worst case scenario kung magbago isipi ng employer, then si NSW 491.

Always to keep your options open, mahirap makakuha ng invitation especially sa dami nang EOIs accumulated since last year,100K EOIs for NSW alone starting this year.
To keep your profile competitive RSEA is a good option- last year they are requiring that to be in during nomination application.
As a minimum getting an invite and making sure you get their nod sa application is good to have it.
Small amount lang naman iaadd pag nagpa assess ka,sulit naman sya once nakuha mo nomination approval! Consider it as an additional document aside from the employment evidences na ipresent mo during application.
With EA is an optional service. With DHA it is optional, with states they will or will not ask for it.
For me to avoid those sticky situations i will go for it , first is to strengthen your application and be decision ready.

Apply for 190/491 in all states you are eligible, if you managed to get invited that is for you to know later on. 491 is not a second option for me too but is still your choice yan.
186 is also a better option, just put some timelines if ever plans not going your way sa GSM.
Since your onshore, you have limited options in terms of state nominations. It narrows down to 190/491 WA+ 190/491 state you are in and employer PR pathways.

@Ozdrims with these changes, if may RSEA then stipulated sa skills assessment, meaning ba, pwede nang i-supersede sa EOI if ever not written but same position?

Rsea: Position 1 - Jan 2023 to Mar 2023
Actual: Position 1 - Jan 2023 to Nov 2023
