Hi, just want to share my experience. Since sg based ako, gumawa ako ng authorisation letter for my father sa ph para sya mag asikaso. Then gumawa ako Letter of request stating na hihingi ako Certification ng driver’s license ko showing yung initial issuance date. Pwede mo sabihin reason na to use for converting license to Singapore. Tapos either sa Main office or sa Regional office ng LTO pupunta to request the Cert. nakalimutan ko na pero around P100 lang ang bayad.

Same. Pinalakad ko sa kapatid ko. Need nila original so pinapadala ko din sa sg (pasabay).

Maraming salamat po! So talagang ni-request siya separately talaga pala po.

Question ulit! Nagset ba kau appointment sa lto sa pinas? Or ok lang din walk in? 🙏

@mathilde9 Did you say, for SG driving license conversion- the other country license needs to be issued before our first entry in SG? ( I have one class of vehicle issued prior but other issued later).

Would any of you folks have any idea, if I could convert it po?

Yes, the issuance date should be prior your first entry in SG. The equivalent class I was able to convert is Class 3 (common for car driving)

Whichever valid license class with prior issuance date will be converted. They will assess this at the counter. If I remembered correctly, the staff also asked me how long have I been driving back in the Philippines when I first got the license.

SG license conversion to AU - are well recognised (US, UK being others). But I guess they need to be 3 years old ( for some states in AU). Other countries’ issued licenses - you ‘may’ need to give tests. It would make sense to get one , if one has time, else I guess getting one directly in AU is also ok.

Depends also on what state you are going to be in. For example SA, you need To accumulate 75 hours worth of driving under L plate to get a P plate, then only a full license. Years in the making and if you don’t know anyone to be your personal supervisor to get those hours , you are looking to spend about $8k, as driving tutors here charge a minimum of $100 an hour. (I see some Pinoys charging $90 on Facebook). We are in the thick of this and regret not renewing our Philippine license or getting it in Singapore beforehand.

Anyone here with a Singapore driver’s license Class 3C na nakapag direct conversion to AU license upon arrival? I will be settling in Victoria po.

Just want to double check lang if wala na talaga gagawin any tests in AU?

Sa SA po 1 to 1 conversion. Hindi na kami pinag exam last 2022.

Hindi ako sure sa DFA certification. Pero yung letter from LTO mismo may dry seal.

Thank you @mathilde9 ! may binanggit kasi na baka need daw ng apostille sabi dun sa LTO para daw magkaroon ng red stamp yata .. pero ayun baka pwede na yung dry seal from LTO .. just an additional question, how about if yung issue date ko nilagay is yung renewal date pero may field naman na "Holder of license since", magegets naman po ng SG yun?
