Personally, kaya. Di naman nagkakalayo rates sa city and regional eh. Mas mahal cost of living sa city kahit malaki job offer mo eh. Mas madami nga lang in terms of job vacancy / posting sa city. Malaki sweldo means malaki tax.

Saka depende din siguro nature of work mo and financial obligations. Ako, so far i find work-life balance here sa regional.

And if may pasok sa budget madame din applicants. Like sabi ng agent around 30 pax nag apply dito sa town namin. Di naman ako nagmamadali kasi currently nakatira ako sa pinoy (renting a room) but my experience living here will definitely improve once I have my own place.

@mathilde9 I actually have a part time job na, well not yet signed a contract. But I had a trial shift last week and I enjoyed it. I have another trial shift coming this Saturday and they and I will decide to proceed. With regards to activities, madame naman ako nagagawa pero ang major gripe ko with regional living right now is loneliness. It can get really lonely kasi wala ako makausap or makahang out na people my age, who doesn’t have kids, and would be good also if they are non binary. Haha. And I think that is too much to ask da regional areas.

@bambi15 regional area living (an hour away from a city - not sydney, but a regional city of 70k pop and 2.5 hr away from Canberra). Reality is you can go to the city anytime you want as long as you have a car. Another thing though is these trips will become planned trips, kasi sayang yung gas and yung time you spend on those trips. So make sure that the town you are gonna live has at least a grocery store, a cafe, a pub and some sort of recreation areas like gym.

@Ozdrims sa alice springs ka destino??

Im curious of what is life living in regional areas like 3-4 hrs from major city. I may trade city life to regional kasi mas malaki offer. As a single person,, kaya naman po ba ?

Personally, kaya. Di naman nagkakalayo rates sa city and regional eh. Mas mahal cost of living sa city kahit malaki job offer mo eh. Mas madami nga lang in terms of job vacancy / posting sa city. Malaki sweldo means malaki tax.

Saka depende din siguro nature of work mo and financial obligations. Ako, so far i find work-life balance here sa regional. Hawak ko yung oras ko, and my super contribution din naman ako kahit part time lang.

sa type of industry ko kasi setting is nasa regional talaga kasi huge plants. you're right about the work life balance, its one of the reasons why we are here. nasasayangan kasi ako sa opporunity, govt owned company sya and exact same sa ginagawa ko sa pinas. I'll give it a crack

Gamitin mo agad sick leave mo kahit walang sakit karapatan mo yun hahaha.
