    IELTS is required for the primary applicant. For the secondary applicant (let's say your fiancee for example), you can just have him request for a Certificate of English as Medium of Instruction from his university to meet the english competency requirement if he does not want to get IELTS for whatever reason. The secondary applicant only needs to pass IELTS if you plan to apply for partner skill points. (This is explained in the DIAC site and booklet 6)

    icebreaker1928 "lapis ang gamit sa IELTS exam, nakasulat naman yun nung magbayad ka, may binigay sila kung ano ang dapat mong dalhin, 3 mongol pencils all number 2."

    Talaga, yun lang ni-required sa inyo dalhin dyan sa Pinas? Kasi nung nag-paregister ako for IELTS dito sa Jakarta, may kasamang pen sa mga pinadadala on the test date, so nalito tuloy ako kung saan gagamitin yung pen then I asked nga yung coach namin, sabi nya nga pen for writing. Saka bakit sa mga sample writing done by examinees sa mga review materials, may mga bura bura sila na for sure pen ang gamit kasi kung pencil e'di sana malinis yung essay.
    Just wondering about it....

    forgot to mention that during the writing exam, nagpapahiram sila ng ballpen kung sino gusto ballpen ang gamitin... but still it doesn't matter kung pencil or ballpen... what matters is the content... cheers :)

    Correction po! wala namang failed sa IELTS you just have to get your needed score for the point system or any of your purposes.

    12/10/11 - Hubby IELTS first take at BC result L & R-5.5, W & S-6.0 OBS=6.0 retake!!!
    12/30/11- Hubby registered at 9.0 Niners.
    03/15/14 - Hubby's comeback at 9.0 Niners preparing for IELTS test. Second attempt for Australian visa.
    05/12/14 - Complete uploading of ACS skills assessment required documents and payment made thru direct deposit.
    05/12/14 - ACS assessment application received.
    07/02/14 - ACS skills assessment result suitable ANZCO code 262113 Systems Administrator as recommended by CO for hubby's job description rather than ANZCO 261311 Analyst Programmer the first ACS ANZCO result suitable released in 2011. I conclude ACS reclassifies ICT Occupations.
    - Work exp. 12yrs. less 6yrs deduction by ACS.
    - Educ. Qualification assessed as AQF Associate Degree major in computing for a 4yr. course BS. Computer Science in a section 2 school.

    For immigration purposes, a grade of 6 for all exams is the minimum requirement. For some occupations it's 6.5, 7.0....it depends hehe.

    To get 10 points for 175 visa, you need to get a 7.0 for all exams...20 points if you get an 8.0 or above for all exams naman..

    I just took the exam today here in KSA. General Training Writing task 1 ----you're taking a business course in a university and one of the requirements is to study or visit a company of your choice related to your field. Write a letter to the manager of the company, Discuss your course, why are you interested in their company, suggest chuchu....and then, Writing Task 2 ------ some shops open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Do you think it is good for the customer, shop staff or the economy?...basta ganyan yong thought.....isa sa mga pagkakamali ko sa listening ay finold ko yong paper so hindi ko nakita na may question pa pala sa likod for numbers 28-30. sayang, nanghula na lang ako..haha! nasa huli ang pagsisisi talaga kung bakit di ako nagpractice nun pa sa writing, tuloy di ko na naproofread yong ginawa ko. As in sulat lang ako ng sulat, ni hindi ko na nabasa kong tama ba yong pinagsasabi ko..hayysss.kinakabahan pa ako sa reading kanina, kulang ata yong practice ko ng Cambridge 7 ba yon kainis. Ayoko talaga ng T/F/NG.....Anyway, speaking ko ay sa Thursday pa. Sana lang talaga makaabot ng 8 para pasok sa banga ang migration points ko.

    parang naalala ko sa last part ng reading (31-40) - about sa Band named Patenga (basta nag-uumpisa sa P..lol) ang answer dun sa isang question ay galing sa Vocalist's sister ang name ng band, tapos may answer din akong "the Drummer" --who left the band and replaced by Erik..ang alam ko ang name ng drummer is Jonas. May answer din akong, "one million" ---copies ng album na nabenta in the year 2005. tas may tanong dun ano ang unsual s banda, tapos bakit sinabi ng author na gruelling experience yong pagpunta ng banda sa US ---parang ang sagot ko dito parang about sa Privacy nila, ganun....tapos yong last part ng multiple choice, anong masasabi ng author about sa group - sinagot ko ata dito is wala silang paki about sa fame nila, parang ganun....tapos yong 36-40 ata mamimili ka kung first album-fourth album yong dinidescribe....36. no title - parang 3rd album C,.di ko sure anong number nung anong album ang naging worldwide success---parang 2nd album ata to. Tapos anong album yong reworked lang-ang answer ko is 4th album

    Readinng -- about samga old buldings ata to sa Australia --- may tanong dun anong bulding ang may mix design---old and modern==sagot ko yong sa may american...anong bulding ang narelocate - yong number 1 choice, anong building ang nagiba ng purpose nya - sagot ko 1 ulit, anong bulding yong may technological chuchu--lyong last kasi may telegram ata ganun, may tanong din kung anong building yong naging military base -parang yong second to the last.....May tanong din about sa arriving and departing australia.....

    Section 1 listening --about sa pagmomove ng gamit ata....basta yong eample dun si Kristen Bunsen ata ang name nung customer...tatanungin yong customer number, kelan nya gustong ipamove---parang August 21 ang sagot....may sagot din akong "electricity", tas kung ano ipapamove yang isa--cooker.....tapos yong isang reading is about sa Working at home....sorry ang gulo ng mga naremember ko....hahha

    hi mkapc! ngyon din nag-take ng ielts husband ko d2 sa dubai, sa writing gnyang mga questions din ang naikwento nya. Problem nga di nya natapos un task 1 kc pinauna dw ipagawa sa knila un task 2 dhil mas mtaas score. Nakaka tense dw lalo na sa speaking talagang sunud-sunod dw ang questions pero nsasagot nman dw nya, ang kaso di dw nya alam kng tama nman dw ba ang mga isinagot nya, hahaha sobrang kaba! Anyway, let's pray na lng na maging ok ang result ng mga exam nyo. Goodluck sa atin.....

    Feb. 9 na ulet take ng hubby ko... for the second time, for a few weeks review muna sa 9.0 NINERS, hopefully there could be an improvement.

    Lets ALL keep the faith we may get our desired score! :)

    pag hindi po natapos ang task, 5 na agad ang score nun sa task achievement... and it will computed with the other criteria... we can hope na lang na ok ang ibang critieria nya and enough para hilahin pataas ang 5 na score. goodluck!!!

    @mkapc: nag take din ako ng Jan 7 IELTS exam d2 sa KSA, baka ikaw yung katabi ko, hehehe. D2 sa Jeddah nga pala ko nag take, sa Movenpick Hotel ung venue. Parehas tau ng inexam.

    Saka na ko magbigay ng tips pag mataas nakuha ko na scores, hehe. Para may K kunyari, hehe. Baka mamaya tip ako ng tip, wa epek naman pala at bagsak ako (wag nmn sana) Tsk Tsk!

    bale ang magiging main applicant kasi ehh un hubby ko and his working as draftmans in construction specilaized in pre cast pero lisence architect sya sa pinas...worried kasi sya sa ielts nakapag take na ako ng ielts academic module pero naka OB lang ako ng 6.5 mababa kaya takot din kasi mahina din sya sa english..academic ba o general un dapt na ielts sa amin?

    @harlan ako naman sobrang haba ata ng task 1 ko, pero di ko alam sa task 2 kung nameet ko yong 250 words. hays! kinabahan tuloy ako.
    @Methylester sa Ryd po ako nagtake ng exam. dalawa lang po kaming pinoy na nagtake dito. Magkaiba pa kami ng module since General ako sa kanya is Acad. Sa akin naman ay sinabi ko lang yong mga tips at mga naalala ko sa exam. Pasado o Bagsak wapakels haha! basta may ma-ishare lang din ako sa mga magte-take pa lang lalo na sa mga first time tulad ko. Good luck sa atin!

    sa mga nagtatanong kung ballpen ba or pencil ang gagamitin, well sinabi sa amin ng invigilator sa listening & reading - pencil lang pedeng gamitin. sa writing allowed pong gumamit ng ballpen, kung san ka mas masaya. pero sa akin ang ginamit ko sa wiritng ay pencil kasi ako yong tipong bura nang bura. At saka dito sa KSA, provided ang pencil at saka may sharpener din sa likod. So ang dadalhin mo na lang ay eraser at ballpen pero pag ayaw mo ng tayo ng tayo para gumamit ng sharpener din mas magandang maging laging handa. Yong nasa likod kong pakistani humingi pa ng extra paper para sa writing nya (buti pa sya, mukha atang marami syang nasulat unlike sa akin. huhu!)....tapos kalurkey yong isang taga dito na nagtake, nakikipag-away sa invigilator kasi gusto nyang tapusin yong writing kahit tapos na yong exam. Di na kinaya nung tagabantay kaya nagtawag ng magpapakalma. haha!

    Minsan naiisip ko baka makipag-away ako sa invigilator kung hindi ko matapos ang writing sa dami na ng nagagastos ko sa IELTS hahaha...mabuti na lang natapos ko kundi baka isa ako sa pinakalma. :D

    anong lahi yan? alam ko sa middle east madami talaga pasaway lalo na mga pana at patan...
    kung dito nya ginawa yan malamang bagsak na sya... considered as cheating na yun...
    ang higpit kaya ng IDP dito....
