Hi. Questions for 476ers. How long does it take before a CO gets assigned? I'm still waiting for my IELTS exam results na irerelease sa 22, and I can't apply yet without providing the TRN. Aabot pa kaya ako sa deadline ko? I graduated 17th of April 2011. Hindi ko kasi alam kung ok na sya basta ma-apply ko before April 17, or marerecognize lang yung application ko once a CO is assigned.

@hannahf - they look at the date you lodged your application.. and not the CO allocation date..
so as long as you lodge before your cut-off (2 yrs after graduation).. that would be fine..
of course make sure na nareceive nila ang application before April 17..

@hannahf, in my case Feb 17 ako nag lodge, wala pa rin CO. Pero yun nga, tama si @lock_code2004, lodging date and importante.

@iammaxwell1989 better, kasi wala pa rin ako stat declarations for de facto eh. i've read here na de facto ka rin? di mo pa masusubmit yung necessary docs unless hingin ng CO no?

Yes, may de facto ako. You can submit the required documents once you lodge the application, that is, after paying the application fee. The case officer will contact you weeks after and request for additional documents (i.e. nbi clearance, health clearance, etc.).

@iammaxwell1989 Anong mga naprovide mong evidences? Kelangan ba notarized pa ung statements from family and friends? And in your case, have you lived/are you living together for at least 1year? Sorry, andaming questions. Nabasa ko kasi na all or nothing eh. Pag di enough yung evidence mo and di approved si partner, denied na talaga visa as a whole.

1) Nabanggit na yata dito yung mga evidences
2) Hindi ko na pina-notarize yung mga statements
3) Yes. We have contracts and bills to prove that we lived together for more than a year.
Meron din kaming joint account pero May 2012 kami nag open, Feb 2013 kami nag lodge. So less than a year yun.

Thanks for the info! I just received my IELTS result and i'm half a point short sa writing part para maka-20pts. Sayang lang.

With regards to PR, how can you have EA assess your educational qualifications? As in transcript lng ba kelangan dun or kasama din ung plant practice/ojt and thesis?

@hannahf - download the migration assessment booklet from EA website..
you will need to provide 3 career episodes (essay detailing your work/projects)..

@iammaxwell1989 may CO ka na? Yung mga docus na inupload mo while waiting for the CO ay birth certificate, diploma, transcript, IELTS, at passport copy (excluding the de facto requirements)? Yung passport photo nagsubmit ka na rin ba? salamat!

@dglsp I uploaded the de facto proof documents as well. And yes, I uploaded passport photos of me and my secondary applicant.

Wala pang CO. But its okay since I want the grant delayed anyway.

@lock_code2004 thanks! Do I really need to submit all the requirements, including police clearance and medicals, before being assigned a CO? Sabi kasi sa e-mail, I have to provide the requirements within 28 days after lodging online. Eh may mga nabasa rin ako dito na wag daw muna gawin yung 2 hanggat di sinasabi ng CO.

You may have overlooked the email. You have to provide receipts to undergo med and police checks only if you apply for an ON-SHORE GSM visa.

"If you have applied for an offshore GSM visa, your case officer will contact you when you need to undertake health and character checks."

From immi.gov.au,

"Medical examination results are only valid for a limited period of time. Therefore, you and any secondary applicants should not undertake medical examinations until requested to do so by the department."

"If you are applying outside Australia, you do not have to provide this (Police clearance) information when you apply. You will be advised when it is required.
If you are applying in Australia, you should provide this information with your application."

hello guys im new here. have some questions about visa 476. maraming maraming salamat in advance sa lahat ng makakasagot

pero siguro as a respect, introduce ko muna sarili ko. im a UP engg grad too. 2 years ago. so hindi na ako pwede mag-apply for this visa. BUT, i am doing grad stud now abroad. yung university ko ngayon eh one of the recognized schools din ng visa na ito. so with that, one of my question is:

1. can i really apply for this visa using my new university abroad?

another question is:

2. I took IELTS in 2011. Can I still use it should I lodge an application this year? Nabasa ko kasi na for those who apply on or after JUL 2012, the test must be sat no more than THREE YEARS before the application. Eto o (copy pasted from the website):

Applications made on or after 1 July 2012 must be from a test you sat no more than three years before the day of application.

You are deemed to meet the English Language threshold competent English if you hold a valid passport from, and are a citizen of, one of the following countries:

United Kingdom (UK)
Canada
New Zealand
United States of America (USA)
Republic of Ireland.

Your test must have been completed before your visa application is lodged and be from a test you sat no more than two years before the day of making your application.

Pero sabi dun sa last sentence, two years lang dapat. Nakakalito yung rules nila regarding this matter! So tingin nyo, kumuha na lang ako ng IELTS ulit? Medyo mahal kasi siya hehe.

^ Hi Code_Blue, ECE ako pero napunta ako sa Project Management. Sang Region ka napunta? At anong field mo? Pahirapan Telecoms kasi saturated ang market sa Microwave/Radio Engineering. Kung semicon ka naman, kadalasa nasa suburb and R&D and Manufacturing companies. Tyaga lang talaga. It took me 3 months to find a job.

Hi everyone! I also applied for visa 476. I lodged my application April 1st and until now wala pa ring CO. Hindi naman ako nagmamadali, I actually want it na medyo delayed. I'm just being curious on why it's taking that long, baka may kulang akong nasubmit or something. How long ba it usually takes before a CO contacts you?

I know that the medical and police clearance should be undertaken after a CO has been allocated, but I personally know someone who lodged her application April last year, with medical and police clearance front loaded, and within a month eh approved na sya.

@shiobeh: Medyo naliwanagan na ulit ako. After pa nga ma-allocate sa CO yung NBI at med cert. Mas okay na ganun ang gawin mo since gusto mo na ma-delay yung pag-grant ng visa mo, kasi dependent yata yung IED sa validity ng NBI clearance at med cert. Na-abutan yata tayo ng cut-off sa allocation ng CO. "Parang by batch sila kung mag-allocate." Yung last ay applications Feb 11, 2013 and before nun. So applications lodged after nun ay ngayon pa lang nabibigyan. Si @iammaxwell1989 ay ayon sa timeline nya ay Feb 17 nag-lodge at kabibigay lang ng CO nung June 7. So baka malapit lapit na siguro ikaw, tayo.

@lock_code2004 Thanks for the reply. So normal lang pala talaga na may waiting period about 4 months. Medyo nagtaka lang siguro ako since I was basing my timeline with that of my friend's. At naguluhan na rin since every time I check eVisa eh sinasabing I need to submit med cert and NBI within 28 days, hehe.

@dglsp Yeah, alam ko nga dependent yung IED sa validity ng med cert and NBI. And I noticed too na yung mga Feb lodged applications na yung pinoprocess, so hopefully malapit na tayo.

When did you lodge your application?

@shiobeh - yes, you can frontload medicals/pcc... even before CO..
but if you are really not in a hurry to move to AU, i suggest wait for a CO, or estimate the CO allocation time, and submit your medicals/pcc if you know na malapit ka ng magka -CO..

that way, hindi masyadong maapektuhan ang IED mo.. you will still have approx 1 year to enter AU..

@lock_code2004 I didn't attempt to have it remarked, kasi I know na dun ako nakulangan sa writing eh. It's also around 4k ata, definitely cheaper than a retake, pero there are no guarantees. I'll just take the exam again if kelangan pa.

(Pero sayang talaga. Hehe.)

@mmlazarte I lodged my application last March 24, and no CO pa rin. Based on iammaxwell1989's timeline, I'd have to wait for a month pa siguro. Nakakainip lang mag-antay, so yun, pakabusy muna sa work to save up.
