@clickbuddy2009 sir section 2 po ako colegio de san juna de letran manila po, yung AQF bachelor degree equivalent.

San ko nga po ulit makikita kung AQF bachelor degree equivalent? Kapag naassess na ba yun ng assessing authority saka lang malalaman?

Sana naman mabigyan pko ng 15points sa education para diretso na ko sa 189 at di na magpapasponsor sa relative.

yes.. your assessment result should have:
1. skills assessment / work experience relevant to occupation
2. educational assessment - equivalent to AQF diploma or degree

for some assessing agencies, you will need to pay extra for this. otherwise, they will just check your skills.. so mahirapan ka pa manghula dahil wala kang basis, at worst magclaim ng maling points..

@gmad06 ay sorry for confusion po.. di po ako nag claim ng points sa IELTS kasi 6 all band lng po nakuha ko... 60 points na po kami even before IELTS namin, pinasa lang namin ito para po ma meet namin minimum requirement.

oh i see,so sa 6th and last attempt nyo dun po kayo naka band 6 in all mods.akala ko kasi
nung may pa kayo nkakuha ng band 6 in all tapos nag attempt pa kayo ulit this June.

@jvframos naku sir baka po di ako right person to answer kasi dami ko bokya sa reading. nag concentrate po ako acad na reading and ok naman po result nya. self study po kmi ni hubby with the help of a coach na every week na mock test kmi.

Sa lahat po ng nagdasal sa amin maraming salamat po at finally nakuha na namin desired score namin after 6th attempt working on IELTS for a year to achieve this, nakakahiya man sabihin. Pero lubos ako nagpapasalamat sa lahat dito, I almost give up po talaga but then pagnakikita ko yung success stories ng mga kababayan natin nabubuhayan ako ng loob. God Bless you all po and thank you for all your kindness. sana madami pa matulong kayo at ako din hopefully makatulong din.

Thanks Boss Jeff.. kaya mo na din makuha target band score mo para no SS and makapili tayo ng location.

Sa lahat ng mag take ng IELTS, practice lang po ng practice especially sa last week ng pagrereview nyo, just be confident pagdating sa exam proper lalo na sa speaking exam.

I just finished my speaking test. Tomorrow 3 modules naman. Puro kami pinoy na magkakasabay sa waiting area and I tried not to speak to them. Deadma na kahit akala nila masungit. hehehe. I think it is easier to speak in English pag nka mindset ka na you have to speak in English and it is always advised to avoid speaking in any other language minutes before the exam. Goodluck sa mageexam bukas.

Mga kabs.. Took my ielts sa idp shenzhen china. Listening, reading and writing was done on 6/22. Writing gen question T1: write a complain about your online purchase, tapos describe the item you purchased, what is the problem, then what you want them to do. Sa T2 naman: in many countries, the young generation have lost interest in the teaching profession, what are the factors and what would be the solution. Speaking ko is scheduled later today(6/23) gud luck to all batch 6/22!!!

@arivilla hi I took ielts too yesterday at IDP Singapore. Parehong pareho tayo ng exam. So, I guess pareho ang exams sa iba't ibang countries depends on the date you took the exam. Yung speaking ko however was last 21June. Nauna siya. Ang question is about Part 1: accomodation. Do you live in a house or apartment. Basta all about accomodation. part 2: discuss one advertising that something like persuades you to buy the product (2mins) Part 3: exchange of discussion about advertising in your country.

Sa reading isa lang ang not given ko.

anyway hope this helps. 5 July ang results natin sana walang below 7 band score.

@wizz same din pala siguro ang LRW tests. Pero yung sa speaking ko kanina ... Part1 ko halo halo.. from work to cooking. Part2 About shopping street that i liked, give reason and what did you do there. Part3 ay follow up questions about small shops vs malls, should malls need to be opened for 24hrs. Does building malls have some effect to the environment. ..... Good luck sa atin lahat.

Hi, bago po ako.. Nag-ielts na po ako.. bale L:8 R:6 W:6 S:7 OBS:7. gusto ko sana magre-take to get all 7. Knock on wood and huwag naman sana... Just incase bumaba ung score ko. Pwede ko pa ba gamitin itong 1st ielts results ko? Or ung latest ang icoconsider ng DIAC? thanks!

Hi @wizz Same thing happened to me nung nasa waiting area ako ng speaking test ko. May 2-3 pinoys na nag uusap usap. Actually alam ko na ung life story ng 2 sa kanila, haha. But me, I just kept quiet and tried to focus and calm myself kse kinakabahan ako.

Well, kanya kanyang style nga naman yan na pag cope sa exam jitters.

@arivilla sabagay madami ung pages ng booklet ng speaking test eh. kaya siguro un lang ang iba-iba per candidate pero LRW tama ka same nga. Nalala ko lang sa listening ay si Jade and Henry yung naguusap. hehehe. Let's see by 5 July. As of now wala na tayong magagawa kung hindi mag-antay at magdasal for at least 7 in all bands.

grabe ang tagal talaga ng Vetasses. Kung March ka nagpasa at June ngkaresult ibig sabihin yung pinasa ko nung May sa August pa magkakaresulta. Waaah. Pero sana kahit matagal basta positive okay lang. Sana dn bago sya dumating oks na IELTS ko. =D

Hi @wizz, oo nakakainip talaga. I was advised by a friend to call Vetasses pag malapit na mag 12 weeks yung application. Ask them about sa status ng application mo, if may updates or kailangan pa na documents.

Magparamdam ka lang. In my case, mabait & accommodating yung officer ko pero ang nangyayari was ok na pala hindi lang nya na update yung status ko. Kaya I think it's best to call or email them from time to time.

@gilberttkd- pwde mo gamitin kung alin ang mas mataas.. you just need to give the Test Report Number ng IELTS na gusto mo gamitin..

Based on experience, di na ako nakapagreview bago magexam kasi super busy sa work. Same with hubby. We only relied on basic tips from friends. In God's grace nakapasa naman kami pareho with both OBS 8 & 7 and above marks on all four bands. The key is prayers, relaxed mind and using english as your everyday language (siguro dahil overseas kami nagwowork)

Share ko lang itong mga tips na ni-compile ko based from my experience and from my friends'
(In case nasabi na ito previously, so para na rin sa mga tinatamad magbackthread hehehe, sana makatulong)

BEFORE THE EXAM
Sleep well the night before the exam date.
Eat your breakfast and relax your mind on the actual exam day.

IELTS EXAM
• There are four components namely: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking.
• This will be done in 2 separate dates having 3 components in 1 day and Speaking in other day.
• You will be given certain time to finish each components.
You will have the question and answer sheet right away, so you have time to review them.

• Pointers on Reading and Listening
o make some notes, extra sheet will be provided for that.
o some questions have choices but some are fill in the blanks. the latter requires answer in one or two words (or number) only (no more than 2 words)

• Pointers on Writing
o You will be given 2 parts, one is in form of a letter and the other is an editorial
o do not use bullet, number or list forms.
o Make it in 3 or more paragraphs. First paragraph should be about the topic or your intention of writing, second paragraph should explain the topic, third should be the conclusion.
o do not abbreviate
o use synonyms if possible
o use words like, To start with, Moreover, Furthermore, In conclusion
o Avoid redundant sentences or words.
o Always check your grammar, spelling and punctuation marks.
o Gather your thoughts and make a stand or a solid opinion of the topic.
o write neatly

• Pointers on Speaking.
o You will be given 3 parts, first is a usual conversation, will be asked more about yourself, second is say anything about a given topic in 3minutes, third is you will be asked follow up questions about the second part.
o Do not try to have an accent, speak naturally.
o Avoid long pause, stuttering, repetition of words or sentences
o Look in the eye of your interviewer
o Relax, if you need to move your hands then do so
o speak louder and with confidence
o Avoid statements that needs affirmation, remember the interviewer will not agree nor disagree
o No right or wrong answer. They are only after your way of speaking and grammar.
