Hmm parang pang gulo nga talaga.wait na lang din naten yung iba

kinakbahan na talaga ko sa assessment ng husband ko. Parang mali yung anzsco code eh. Programmer/tester kasi sya sa 1st company then test engineer na lang sa 2nd. Then software engineer yung napili nameng anzsco code. Meron kaya dito na same situation din namen?hehe baka mangyare shorter work experience ang iassess sakanya.hay. Dapat ata software tester na lang pinili namen kaso csol lang kasi yun eh. Hindi kamimpwede sa 189 pag tester hehe

i am not 100% sure on that statement...

but based on what i know sa mga results dito sa forum, 100% ng nagpa-assessed from section 1 schools, got equivalent to AU degree..

@penski516 same lang pala tayo. 6 years din ako. BS Com Sci naman. 1 day apart lang din submission naten sa ACS. antay antay nalang tayo batchmate. pero i think pasok pa rin tayo sa reqmts. min of 3 years work exp naman diba, kaso 5 points lang ang equivalent nun.
oo nga eh, at most 5 points na lang if they take 2 years off our experience hehe aral na lang maigi para sa IELTS. goodluck satin

okay lang ba un na 5 points lang ang makukuha sa work experience? ang importante naman is to get at least 60 over all di ba? kung 5 points lang it won't affect the priority of your application pag nag EOI?

just a question if I need to go via RPL or have my certifications assessed.

im an undergrad with almost 10 years experience in the network/telco field and holds a number of cisco certification - CCIE RS(both lab and written exam passed, CCNP,CCDP,CCIP, I want to understand and is thinking if I need to go via RPL or directly have my cisco certifications assessed. i have read that CCIE and professional cisco certifications are assessed as equivalent to an AQF diploma?

anybody have the same dilemma or situation as me? i would appreciate to hear some feedback and advise.

@magoo_z I think the best is to write an inquiry to ACS. Yup tama ka, vendor certs will assessed as aqf diploma na confirmed ko yan sa ACS.

Hi everyone, may tanung lang po ako. I have a 6 years experience and my position title is Systems Analyst pero ang ginagawa ko po talaga is Service Desk Analyst as my job role. Ang gulo kasi ng HR namin di nagpapalit ng title. Pde po ba ko mag pa assess as Systems Analyst or irereject lang nila? Thanks.

Siguro ang mahalaga is yung job code na pinili mo kahit System Analyst ang title mo sa work.
Mas maganda siguro icheck mo sa ANZSCO Code Descriptions ang job code na pinili mo. Dapat kasi ma-prove na ang pinili mong jobe code ay match talaga sa nature ng work mo by presenting COE with job details or Statutory Declaration with job details.

based on your initial information, you might want to check:
313112 ICT Customer Support Officer - this is under TRA though, not with ACS

paano mo malalaman kung kelangan mo mag RPL or not? if ang course is BS in Business Admin major in Computer Applications from CSB un course pwede na ba hindi RPL?

@LongMejia ... share ko lang yung experience ko nung nag pa assess ako...
may mga job title ako sa ibang COEs ko na hindi network engineer. Pero, ang duties and responsibilities ko ay pang network engineer at na-credit yun. I think... hindi masyado importante yung designation mo sa work kundi yung actual job mo ang important (daily tasks)

Pede kaya gamitin yun ToR ko from my School kahit sa dulo meron nakalagay na "For Board Exam Purposes Only". Kumpleto naman ng units yun and grades, with my name, course, and picture as well as university seal. Pati yun subjects per semester and grades. Pinagkaiba lang talaga nya eh meron sya sa last page na "For Board Exam Purposes Only". Ginamit ko kase nun nag board ako. Nag ask kase ko sa school 2 months daw bago makuha yun ToR eh gusto ko sana lumakad na yun assessment.

If in case ndi sya tanggapin bibigyan ba ng ACS ng chance na magbigay ng ibang kopya? by that time siguro meron na yun ToR na nirequest ko.

Considered na ICT major pa rin ata ang ECE. Bsta no need na for an RPL, the usual General ASsessment lang. ECE din ako and IT rin naging career ko. Mas recent experience nya ba ang work nya sa IT?

@stolich18, pwede po makita yung assessment result mo? under what section po yung school mo? 2yrs lang kasi related experience ko, so may chance lang na maging suitable/positive result kung bachelor degree major in ICT yung qualification ko.

gusto ko na sumugal sa $450 assessment fee. same anzsco code (263111) and same course tayo!
kung 2 years lang nabawas sa experience mo, may possibility pa din na maging suitable ako. 2 years lang kasi talaga related experience ko. im not after the employment points naman kasi babawiin ko na lang sa relative sponsorship

Does anyone of you have same assessment result like this:

"Your Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology completed November 1998 has been assessed as comparable to an AQF Bachelor Degree with a MINOR in computing"

This is my friend's assessment. But we are both graduate of same course but from different school and i am assessed as Bachelor Degree with a MAJOR in computing.

This result will affect his points because a bachelor degree with ICT MINOR is subtracting 6 years from his total of 10years experience, making it a total of 3. Thus he cannot claim his target of 8years, worst is not even 5 years.
