    There should be no problem as far as your kids getting in Australia as far as I am concerned as they have all the docs in place; you would want to consider the below thoughts:

    (1) Departure in PH in terms of the kids flying without being accompanied by parents.
    (2) Your parents need must first secure a tourist visa

    Hello, share ko experience namin. We moved from nz to au after almost 4 yrs in nz for me but only mga a year and a half for hubby and my daughter.

    When i moved to nz, we didnt know anybody. I had no job waiting for me. Hence, the decision that ma una ako and settle things before they went to nz was actually a good one. When they came, we had a car na, i had a job, had residency sorted and school was booked for her.

    Now when we moved to oz together, i still had a job na. Had an apartment and things sorted care of my ate here. Pero nag ka problem kami with daycare 6months to 1year waiting list. Inuwi namin yung 4 yr old sa pinas kasi i worked full time, my hubby went to school in melbourne full time din and my ate can only accommodate her on weekends.

    I know mahirap iwanan ang family pero what is 3-6 months max in the grand scheme of things?

    I think mas better ma una yung primary applicant.. Get a job, sort out a house, paperworks, schools. Get a car if needed before you get the whole family.

    So when they get here you will be able to show them around.. By then you will have friends the kids can play with.. Your partner may instant friends na din who can help find. Jobs or show them around.

    Honestly, believe ako sa mga pumunta here with no jobs waiting and walang kilala. I mean ok lng mag struggle tayo as adults but i dont think it is fair for the kids to experience that kasi while job hunting for sure may mga frustrating moments specially when the baon is going down and the expenses/ rejection letters piling up. Mahirap makitira and there will be issues kahit maliit lng that on some days will feel really sad.

    My daughter nakuha namin from pinas after 3-4 months when nag ka vacant ang daycare. She is 4 but very understanding naman and my family back home made an extra effort for her like taking her to disney, school and other activities so she wont miss us.

    So when we got her back.. Everything was sorted na for her and it just felt like she never left.

After landing a job, I'm sorting out accommodation and other stuff para tuloy tuloy na magkakasama na kami ulit. Medyo malungkot sa una pero have to endure it.

    @bachuchay dahil minadali namin at hindi na namin kinaya magintay para sa medicals nya, 3 mos max lang pero multiple entry for 1 year. hehehehe kung nagpamedical sya, possible na 6 mos sana eh. hehehe

    Kung husband ko ang magssponsor, alam ko pdeng up to 5 years ang visa tapos 1 year max stay. not sure lang if required ang bond pag ganon. Pero for now this will do. Alam ko pde rin makisaup sa immigration na iextend ang visa especially if ang reason ay to look after her grandchild while I am working.

    agree if me budget naman n ma a arrange ng before hand ang accommodation mas mainam.me possibility rin na pareho.lang gastos nyo if me maiiwan s pinas vs isasama n.agad..factors to consider magkano ba nagagstos ng family s.pinas ...if nag skul na anak nyo n s private tapos need nyo pa iwan s kamaganak wherein need nyung sustentuhan ..ung expenses na yun ma c cover na ibang gastos nyo s oz(plus me possibility pang makakuha ng allowance kid nyo s centrelink)...ibang story na syempre if need talaga mag stay ng isa para me steady income ...compute compute..pros n cons..wag lang suicidal decision hehe

    hi peeps! my hubby and I intend to go first and leave our 2 kids with my parents while we settle down there. do you think I would have problems if it will be my parents on tourist visa which will bring the kids to aussie by that time? take note it will be the initial entry of my kids. ano tips nyo if I do this?
    Had an experience with this, klngan nyo po ikuha ng permit to travel yung 2 kids nyo from DSWD dahil haharangin po sila sa immigration pag hinde kasama ang nanay. nakalagay po dun sa permit kung sinong allowed na kasama ng bata during travel kahit po nasa AU na kayo nde naman po iveverify ng immigration natin un. Hope this helps
    Glad that someone here has experience already doing this. Did you get the permit before you left for Australia then? Meron ba sya expiry ang permit? Can this be processed by my mother before they leave? For now kasi this is just one of my options. So baka waste of effort if I do it but will not pursue it.

    @TasBurrfoot @JCsantos @glaiza1210 @rguez06 maraming salamat sa inputs ninyo :)

    @TasBurrfoot @JCsantos @glaiza1210 @rguez06 @lock_code2004 thank you for all your inputs. additional question.. how about appointing my parents as guardian pala? for example for my kids school in case there are things that needs a parents consent. What can I prepare for situations such as that?

    As for us, my husband went ahead first week of August while my daughter and I are staying with my parents. It's a bit hard because we need to be there by end of Sept or first week Oct because I need to give birth there by December. I know how hard it was for my husband but with God's grace, he was able to get a job on his second week :) it was also a blessing that my barkada in high school offered their place, my husband crashed in the sofa for two weeks and now he moved to a room rental up until we arrive.

    Also, my husband tried to do a gig. He distributed flyers for about 4hrs a day, ok naman yung pay :) para lang may little income at di lang palabas ang pera. Hehe

    Hello! This is my first post here in pinoyau.

    I am still in the stage of knowing the ins and outs of this migration thing, and with lots of information here, DIAC site, etc, I can't help but to get confused sometimes.

    I am a father of 3 and am still contemplating on 2 things:
    1) Should I include my family in my application right away? (wife, 3 kids, my mother perhaps?) or;
    2) Should I put myself first and include them afterwards, maybe after I secure a steady job in Oz?

    I would like to ask if choosing #1 would result to savings in terms of Visa application fee. Or choosing either of the 2 won't make any difference?

    It's completely ok with me if someone could just provide the link that could answer my questions.

    Thank you! :\">

    @altuser41

    - you should include your immediate family (wife and kids) in your application
    - if you will not include them, you will provide additional docs why you are not including them
    - and then additional processing, docs, time/effort if you are going to apply for them afterwards..
    - including your parents will be very difficult.. you need to provide proof of dependency, financial support etc...

    as of Jul 2013, visa application fee is now charged per person.. (main applicant + spouse +kids)
    unlike before, the fee is per application regardless the number of person/s included in the application..

    Thanks @lock_code2004 !

    You mean to say if I chose #1 (wife,kids,parent), I will have to pay the entire Visa fee for all of us right away?

    What are documents to provide to prove the dependency of one's parent to their child?
    Our scenario is:
    - I am an only child (mother-side :))
    - My mother is single (never got married)
    - My mother is a senior citizen
    - Has retired from her work as a seamstress
    - Been living with us (my family) for 3 years now

    Too bad the idea of living in Australia came in a bit late. If only I knew about this earlier, I could have saved a lot from the Visa fee alone. Heartbreaking. SMH.
